These guys cut corners at every single opportunity. They marked my mileage 1 mile low when I picked up the vehicle they marked the gas a notch high. Then they forgot to put the dollies and blankets that I ordered into the back of the truck, so when I arrived I didn't have them. The manager was kind enough to extend my reservation after the mixup with the dollies because my move took two or three times as long as I anticipated without them. But then when I returned the car after hours, they marked the fuel gauge low and significantly overcharged me for gas because there was no opportunity for me to refute it. Overall extremely annoyed and would not use this facility again.

Nothing really. My impression was that the store manager went out of his way to solve problems and make this happen during a time that is stressful for everyone in Boston. Everyone else at the store was very courteous as well. Even the guys in the parking lot that I asked about leaving my car there were very helpful and professional. So much so that I was actually surprised.

I arrived later than my arrival time but (thankfully) they were able to make a new reservation. The desk person didn't know how to do that but Chris (the manager?) was very helpful with his staff. Without taking over, he patiently showed him how to make the change. Chris sets a good tone and I found everyone I encountered to show wonderful customer service.

I think thought I had reserved the truck for the full day. Apparently I had stated I would pick up the truck at 7am when I made the reservation. When I arrived at 8:30 they told me I was late and gave the truck to someone else. They did not cal me to inform me they were canceling my reservations. No apology. And when I became upset and asked if calling was part of their policy he called the manager who stood behind him with his arms crossed to intimidate me until I cried. The gave me a van for 4 hours instead. All this made what was already an extremely stressful day that much worse.

We left you with 3/4 tank of gas. In other words, an extra 1/2 tank. You charged us $1.20 for going 3 miles beyond the limit. Not cool.

I had selected a trailer online that wouldn't work with my car. The staff help me out by recommending that I not use that one and get a different one. I appreciate the fact they did this and I think they did an excellent job. I used to avoid using this location because of bad service but I've used it several times in the last year and found service to be much improved and good overall. Keep up the good work at this location. Thanks.

There was a lot of confusion about what time I was supposed to pick up the truck and I didn't get the confirmation call. Luckily I called the day before to find out that the wrong time had been reserved by the pickup location.

The cargo vans need to be vacuumed badly and the inspection of the trucks should be done by the staff not by the customer. I don't mind checking but I found five pretty bad scratches that were not marked with an "x" sticker. There should be an option to rate the staff. Some are over-the-top-helpful (outside) but some staff inside are less interested, eating fried chicken while talking with you, etc.

I wanted to note somewhere (and this is not the fault of either drop off or pick up location) how antiquated the system of requesting roadside assistance is. The website was very slow and unclear -- and there should definitely be a number to call that is clearly written on the contract. Not everyone has a smart phone, though I do, and looking up things on a teeny keyboard is not what you want to be doing in an emergency. I came away with a very bad taste in my mouth. Also, I tried to change my dropoff location because the one that Uhaul had paired me with was closed. I was transferred 5-6 times, and then hung up on and ended up having to do a 24-hour drop off that I was uncomfortable with. Yikes! Can's say I'm happy with my experience or would repeat it.

Make sure you check the equipment carefully for nails, etc. It cost me 1.5hrs to wait for roadside assistance to change out the flat tire in the auto transport I rented. With that said, UHaul was pretty quick to make arrangements to get the wheel changed and the local company they contracted was professional and fast.
