The dolly included in the truck is right in the way of where you would want to load longer items (sofa, mirror, etc). Would recommend no dolly in the truck, unless requested.

I had to remove the dolly that was strapped into the truck only so that I could fit a large piece of furniture. When i explained this to customer service they refused to take off the charge.

I ordered a stack of furniture pads for rental, but they never put them in my truck. When I returned my truck, they charged me for their use anyways. $50 wasted on incompetent staff.

I ordered additional moving blankets and a dolly at checkout. I was told they would be outside and in the vehicle. After inspecting the truck I forgot about the dolly and blankets until departing the location and as I was 10 miles away at the time, it wasn't convient for me to turnaround to retrieve the items I had requested. If an employee could assist in carrying items from checkout (blanket, boxes, dollies, etc) or if the policy would allow for the customer to carry these items directly out to the rental lot this would eliminate the chance an employee outside didn't read, hear or follow through on the request properly. As a result of having insufficient blankets one of my bookshelves suffered superficial damage during the move. Had I received the items I requested and paid for, this could have been avoided.

In calculating mileage, there was a huge discrepancy between what the UHaul rep calculated and what I got on Google Maps. Please be more accurate. It was a big price difference.

The truck had broken glass in the trailer which I had to discover on my own. This could have lead to a serious injury. In addition - I noticed after signing the document that it listed "the customer has agreed that the roof has a leak and accepts that there may be water damage". No one told me about this or brought it to my attention while signing. I only noticed it while re-reading the document after. (Seems pretty shady guys) Lastly, the truck just looked like crap. It had clearly been in a pretty bad head-on into a tree trunk or something because the front grill and number were badly damaged. I'm also posting this on yelp. Thanks for proving being a monopoly leads to crappy service. Ed

How about cleaning the snow and ice off the truck for the customer. I was dropped off at this location and don't carry a brush and ice scrapper with me. I had to remove the sign from the front window and push the snow off the window. A few blocks from UHaul the snow and ice came down from the roof onto the windshield, knocking the wipers off the windshield and blocking my view. This was very dangerous as it happened on a on ramp to 93. Dropping off the was also a problem, nobody would help. After standing outside trying to flag some employee down, I went inside for some help only to be sent back outside. I left the keys on the drivers seat. Two days after this rental, I still have not received a receipt.
