I left a Dunkin Donuts bag and cup in the van and it also had some dog hair in it. I was moving hence the reason for even needing a van so I took my dog with me when picking my car up. I was charged $25.00 for this and was never told to return the van vacuumed- or I would have. But guess what- of course it is in your fine print. Ridiculous and will always use Penske from here on out.

Terrible service could not even pull up my prepaid invoice with the additional items I purchased, so had to double purchase and charged me for Insurance after I declined the coverage and refused to change the order.

I felt like the deal of 1-Month Free Storage with a 1-Way Rental was not adequately explained when discussed during a phone conversation. It seemed as though I was purposely mislead to believe I would qualify for such a deal. I did not and was only made aware of this after I had brought my items to be stored to the storage facility. Then, after it was made clear that I would have to pay for my month long storage, I then felt as though the sales associate aggressively upsold everything in the store. I felt very much like I was being taken advantage of as a customer.

Overall experience was great. While I understand the need for a cleaning charge, I can only imagine how some people would leave the trucks otherwise, I was disappointed to be charged $25 because I neglected to remove two pizza boxes. It had been an exceptionally difficult move and I was just exhausted and didn't notice them. So, yeah that was disappointing. But otherwise quite satisfied.

The location is great for me for pickup/drop-off. They seem to have good availability for trailers, which is what I usually get there. The one frustrating thing is, I think in general for all U-Haul, the check-out process. I already reserved gave all info online, even went for the fast check-out option, and yet when I go to the counter, I have to give almost all info again (the clerk double-checks everything, as if my life depended on it). Also, I wish there was a way to not have to have a U-Haul person do the hookup every time. I have done it so many times, that it should be recognized that I know how to do it, I just need someone to make sure I get the right trailer assigned.

Although from a functional perspective there was no basis for dissatisfaction with my most recent U-HAUL cargo van rental, there were a few points I think are worth mentioning --if only because the "expectation bar" has been set so high from my past satisfactory rental experiences. It would seem that the cargo van provided to me during my most recent rental was in need of some imminent servicing, if only because the display in the instrument cluster indicated so (e.g., "service tire pressure indicator", "change engine oil soon"). There were no problems with either of these systems during my rental, but it IS a bit unsettling to pick up a rental vehicle which is indicating these things when a critical use of the vehicle is intended. I mentioned these indicator messages to a U-HAUL employee, and I was told that it was not a cause for concern --and I took this response "at face value" with no ill effect upon my rental. The vehicle was reasonably clean, but not as clean as the "expectation bar" (based upon my past satisfactory experiences) had prepared me to expect (especially in "tricky" places within the passenger compartment, such as behind/and under seats, etc. there WAS trash there). On a different note, I DO have criticism of the GMC cargo vans that appear to be recent additions to your rental fleet. I have long preferred the Ford cargo vans that are still used by U-HAUL (I seem to receive either type randomly when I make a cargo van rental). My criticism is that the GMC cargo vans DO NOT HAVE electrically-controlled, remotely-adjustable side view mirrors (the Ford vans DO). This is especially important for two reasons: first, the mirrors on any rental van are likely to be unsuitably adjusted when a customer picks up the van (either from the previous customer having differing requirements for adjustment, or from general neglect of proper adjustment). Second, for a rental customer who is WORKING ALONE when requiring the use of a U-HAUL cargo van, it is difficult to suitably adjust manual mirrors without help (because of the distances involved --they are greater than in a passenger car). It would seem that U-HAUL would have an interest in providing electricaly-controlled, remotely-adjustable side view mirrors on ALL of their cargo vans so that proper adjustment of side view mirrors by the customer might be encouraged, thus reducing the chance of minor accidents that may result in U-HAUL vehicle damage. My other minor complaint about the side view mirrors is their "split-view" nature, with the upper part of the mirror being a famim\liar, flat mirror, and the bottom part being a "wide-angle" mirror. Although this might seem good "in theory" (and it might even be desirable on the highway, IF properly adjusted), on local trips on secondary roads (involving shorter "rear view" distances), and in tight quarters (say, while backing into loading/unloading positions --again, involving shor

Very nice in helping customers try and stay within mileage so as to not be overcharged, however more accuracy in figuring mileage would be helpful in assisting customers not necessarily familiar with the area (such as having to go around storrow, etc.)

All the employees were incredibly nice and helpful, even on one of the busiest moving days of the year. The only recommendation I have is to more clearly label the exit to the parking lot - I started trying to turn the truck around because I didn't realize there was an exit at the far side of the lot!

I went in and had to stand in front of two employees (one a manger it seemed) for a good minute or so before they told me they would help. Then sent me outside to get the truck with no direction... no one was out there so had to wait again probably 5 minutes till a driver came up and he wasn't radioed I was out there. The people who checked me out and in (truck side) were great. There desk staff was awful though.
