A bit more courteous, with verbally communication, body language and facial features expression should not be apart of properly execution action toward customers...last minute changeup of paperwork/vehicle and contract information should not be a rush job where drop off destination is in correct. Customers deserve the right of request to be honored/respected with prompt services. Overall the location of service is poor but satisfactive 50%.

I deeply resent that I am unable to call the local UHaul office directly. I was always talking to someone in another state, and they refused to give me a local number. I understand the need for centralized customer service calling, but there SHOULD be a way to talk to someone local. Even after I had scheduled a rental and had a few detail questions about that location, I could not get a number.

My U-Haul dropoff experience was a disaster. I was originally given a dropoff location of HB Legacy which doesn't even DO business with U-Haul anymore. I was then told to drop off at 3120 Western Ave, which was completed locked up (lights off, gates closed, no form of entrance). Just down the street, at 3410 Western Ave, was the well-lit and inviting looking U-Haul location at which I did drop the vehicle. I was then threatened with additional charges for dropping the vehicle at the wrong location. Essentially, the entire process involved far too many calls to customer service and getting the run around from the personnel and management at the 3410 Western Ave location. Even corporate U-Haul customer service had difficulty with them. I was finally able to sort everything out through the help of a handful of U-Haul's customer service representatives (wish I could remember their names so they could get some recognition) who were AWESOME.

I tried to explain to the company why I couldn't fill up the tank and wanted to come later to do so. Left 4 messages and no one called me back about the $80 I was charged. I was a loyal customer but no more. I will take me my businesses elsewhere from now one. They are crooks.

Don't let the location (west side of South Bend) fool you. This is a Well run, organized, clean and best U Haul location I've used recently (used U-Haul 4 times in last six months. Everyone was extremely helpful & friendly; I only rented a trailer for 24 hours, but would most definitely use again. Wasn't the closest for me, but U-Haul said that was the location that had the size trailer I needed (6 x 12)

I was extremely frustrated with scheduling! I had to unexpectedly return with items so I needed the trailer as a round trip. However, scheduling told me this was not possible, and that I had to re - rent the same trailer and do another one way rental. $200 vs 18.95! The gal at SB store was awesome (I believe her name was Alyissa) and helped by modifying rates to $21 for the return trip. Still don't understand the logic behind doing this to a repeat customer!! Scheduling needs to have flexibility to adjust to the customers needs when unanticipated events take place. In the end, I still paid $100 more vs a round trip rental and used the same trailer the entire time. Had it not been for the young lady at the SB store, I would have never used UHaul again!

I rented on Notre Dame/St. Mary's move-in day. For all the craziness of that, the staff at U-Haul Moving were right on top of getting customers in and out as quickly as possible. I didn't meet the manager, but his staff is top-notch.

Horrible customer service, even from the manager. The place is too small to hold the amount of trucks they try and maintain. No communication at all. They need to go back to kindergarten and re-learn the "Golden Rule". Stop treating paying customers as a number.

So, I return the truck a day early, to get it out of my driveway. I brought the truck back with 1/4 tank of gas, at $3.47/gallon, more than when I picked it up.The women there were very nice; they handled everything very well. Then it's time to get the receipt. "Oh - you're a few miles over. I'm going to have to charge you ONE DOLLAR and 33 CENTS for the miles over. No negotiation; she had to charge it. Good job, U-Haul. You were $1.33 away from keeping me as a repeat customer. What a ridiculously stupid decision.

Again, they were "under staffed" with a claim of someone having not shown up, and it took an hour at the premesis simply to turn in the vehicle, while waiting on line. It appears that all locations are "Under Staffed"

Well first of all I wouldn't ! I was in a hurry with people waiting to help me move so when I got to my location where I made my reservation on Mickinley Ave in Mishawaka they couldn't fine my revervation and then they said they called me to change the location it's was on the other side of town, If they left a message why would I go to that location and lose a hour. No sorry no nothing. It's was wrong. I have a two rod in my back so it's was important that I had the people so I lost people at the end and I had to finish myself! So now I have been in bed with a heating pad and ice because of my back from all the lifting. Then at the end I had to pay more because of the 15 miles over really that B S. Never ever again.

I had several problems. The truck I received had a faulty driver side door. The cushioning was off track and therefore the door wouldn't close completely. I didn't realize this until i was on the highway. (minor issue overall). What I was really unhappy about was my bill. When I brought back the uhaul (with the dolly that I had rented) I received a bill that had charged me for an extra dolly AND furniture pads that I never bought. I mentioned this to the clerk and her response was essentially that she saw there was a problem but didn't know how to fix it, and so she just went through with the transaction. Obviously I wasn't happy with this. She did eventually have someone else cancel the whole transaction then correct the problem on my bill, but overall I was not satisfied with the service I received.

I order a 14' Uhaul truck early in the week of 8/10/14 and was called after by someone at the West Lafayette Uhaul location stating that I could pick up the truck at 7am on Saturday 8/16/14. We planned our move accordingly since we only had one day to move. On Friday 8/15/14 we received a phone from a different Uhaul representative from a different location in Lafayette, IN. This person said that we could not pick up our truck until 11 am because the previous renters extended their time. I expressed that this was extremely inconvenient and that we planned on beginning our move at 7 am. The representative informed us that there were no other trucks and that we would just have to wait. She also explained that if the other customer was late and brought the truck in after 11 am that they would have to pay for our truck or our truck would be cover per her area manager. We arrived at the specified location at 11am and the truck was not there - we waited there for an hour and a half and did not receive the truck until 12:30 pm. Once we received the truck we were told it would have to be returned with a quarter of a tank of gas or we would have to pay extra. Also, we were told we had 155 miles to use without an overage fee. On Sunday 8/17/14 morning I received an invoice stating we were over our 125 mile limit (which was supposed to be 155 miles) and we were charged for the difference. We were also charged a fuel charge because we brought the truck back with a little over a quarter of a tank when supposedly it needed to be where it was when we picked it up (half tank). In the end we were charged full price and overages for everything after receiving multiple unorganized phone calls and not receiving the truck on time. I also called customer service where I was not helped at all and directed to fill out this survey. This entire process has been a disaster and I would really appreciate if someone could get back to my in order to rectify the situation.
