I've done a lot of business through uhaul of south lake and have received excellent service every time. My experiences could not possibly be made smoother or more efficient in any way. Uhaul of south Lake Tahoe is a top notch business. Cheers!

Checking it in was just fine but at this location- I had big problems when I first tried to reserve a rental in advance. I went to this business location and was making my reservation for the following weekend. The Manager told the rep helping me that he wouldn't rent the truck to me for two days- only one day. So the rep stopped entering my info his computer and I had to leave. 1 hour later U-haul calls me on phone and states that they want to help me complete my reservation. I explained how the manager at the local U-haul treated me but the operator didn't even acknowledge the information at all. They just continued on with which size truck I needed and the specifics of the rental. I'm a local business owner that needed a truck rental to take my Art to an Event for display. I'm not happy about the service by the Manager. Probably not going to use U-haul in the future unless I'm desperate.

Both employees (I forget the name of the morning employee and Thomas, the evening employee) where absolutely wonderful. Moving is a very stress activity, and they helped remove much of my stress!

Our reservations were booked wrong it was booked as a one way rental. When we returned the truck at the pick up location the same day we were still charged the one day fee which was double what we should have payed. We were told there was nothing that could be done that day as far as a refund because someone had quit and we would have to talk to a manager. I took the managers card and have tried calling but he is never there and won't return messages left with the other employees. $229 for an in town move is rediculous.

The associate was very helpful. I've used U-Haul before and probably will again, but the only thing that left me with a weird feeling was the cameras looking over my shoulder and monitoring everything going on in the store like some weird corporate big brother.

My only recommendation would be that the person checking you in should go over the truck with you. How to use it, whats expected when you bring it back, a general over view would have been nice
