My destination was Sparks, NV. I told the Uhaul rep where I picked up my truck that I want to return it to Pyramid Hwy Sorage. He said I could return it to any Uhaul dealer in Sparks. The rep. at Pyramid Hwy Storage Park told me she could not receive the truck. She wanted me to drive it to another dealer even though I specifically requested and received the OK to return it to her. I received no help from anyone at Uhaul's 800 numbers. After many phone calls and some angry words she changed her mind and took the truck. This was unnecessary. I will NOT be using Uhaul in the future.

I think things were just fine. The truck was ready when we came to pick it up and return was fast and easy.

This location is both a storage facility and became a Uhaul drop site after we had made the reservation for the unit. We knew this because we called the location and they told us they would become a drop site while we were in transit to Nevada and that we could drop the unit there regardless of where we originally agreed to drop the unit on the reservation. Additionally, when we spoke to a staff member regarding storage we were quoted a lower price than the manager on duty gave us when we arrived. Our notes were solid regarding the storage cost but the phone quote was not honored by the facility after we arrived. The combination of the two issues creates a situation where we would not recommend this location either for storage or as a rental location for Uhaul. In the end we had to call the Uhaul headquarters to waive the extra drop off location fee, but my mother who we have renting the Storage unit is still paying the higher than quoted rental fee. Our families have regularly used Uhaul in the past, but this particular rental period with the many issues sours my opinion and potentially my future use of Uhaul equipment or storage locations. I understand the Sparks location is new, and perhaps Uhaul needs to mandate extra Customer service training with the staff at this location to insure your company is represented effectively, especially surrounding the requirement to honor phone quotes as they would a written quote. In the end these problems just meant extra time for me, but continue to effect my 72 year old mother who is paying a higher storage rental because of poor customer service and/or management at this location.

The location dispatch team that I dealt with as well as the customer service team that I called to report the poor customer service I received from the dispatch team were both deplorable. If it were not for the excellent customer service I received from the Ingenuity Drive location in Sparks, NV, I would have taken my business elsewhere. In general I would not recommend Uhaul for personal moving. The locations are typically quite friendly, however, the corporate customer service and dispatch teams are simply ridiculous from a customer interaction standpoint. Get it together, Uhaul!!! We do have other choices when spending our money!!

The return experience was a nightmare. The agent that represented your company was VERY rude and nothing would have been resolved if the district manager had not been there. He was very helpful and gave me a credit for the errors made. The employee on the other hand should be repremanded for her treatment of customers.

Make sure ash tray is empty, drivers side door arm rest/handle was ready to fall off. Small things I know. The 26' truck served its purpose and we got the move completed with no issues....

On March 2, 2013 I rented a truck and the back was emptied, I refueled it, drove it a couple miles down the Highwasy to drop off and was charged $25 cleaning, and $45 in fuel and $30 fill-up service fee. The most it could have been low was 1/16th of a tank an estimated $15 at most. This doubled the price of the rental. Rediculous and unneccessary and unaccepatable. I called The Pyramid Highway Storage UHaul 5 times and left messages and spoke with receptionist but a manager never returned a call to resolve my complaint. I am willing to pay a $15 dollar penalty and that's it. I would like my debit card refunded for $85. I called to reserve a truck on April 5 for that afternoon and was told a manager had to call me back. I did not receive a return call, so I went to the location and rented it in person with no problem. I was not overcharged the second time.
