The 24 foot truck we reserved was not available when we arrived. In fact there were no 24 ft trucks available at this site. We had to rent a 20 foot truck instead. Then the attendant let someone else leave with the truck that had been assigned to us so we had to go through the check out procedure all over again to get a new truck assigned. Store was extremely busy but the personnel were friendly & moved people through efficiently.

It was awful, took an hour to get the trailer. There should be someone helping people park, the driveway was completely blocked our first attempt to get in, kept having to ask people to move since they were parking everywhere. The process is timely, had to go in three times, check in, go out get whatever, go in do paperwork, back out to do inspection, back in. Needs to be stream lined. Will not be returning for future needs.

Terrible, horrible parking area. It gets so congested then cars are backed up on a very busy street making the traffic worse. Even the employees feel the location is extremely difficult. Otherwise it's always great and convenient.

This whole thing has gone sideways from the beginning. I signed the contracts, then waited about 20 minutes before I was informed that my truck was ready. On the way to the truck, there was the tongue of a trailer in the pathway and I tripped over it. I scraped up my left arm, twisted my left wrist and still have bruises up and down my left side. Just as I was pulling the truck out of 3rd Ave, which is one way, I noticed that the gas gauge was pegging empty. I pulled over when I could and called "customer service." After being on hold for 25 minutes, I finally spoke to a live person. The representative was rude, inconsiderate and argumentative. She kept telling me that I "should have" and was "supposed to" inspect the truck before I signed the contract, even though it has never worked this way whenever I have rented a truck from you or anyone else. I ended up taking the truck back the the store, as the contact stated that there was nearly half a tank of gas. I did notice that the truck seemed to be driving funny, but chocked it up to not being used to driving a big truck. However, as we were loading the truck up, we noticed that the power steering had gone out and it was leaking a black fluid from underneath. When it was nearly loaded at a late hour, we opted to finish up after people got off of work the next day. In the morning I contacted roadside assistance. That representative was much more congenial and got a mechanic out to my place pronto. The mechanic stated that the fluid was brake fluid and that the truck could not be safely driving. Roadside assistance made arrangements for the truck to be towed to my destination on the other side of town, although she seemed to have problems understanding that I did not want this done until evening, as we were almost, but not finished loading it and my help had to work. Normally, I would have appreciated the several telephone calls from roadside assistance checking on matters, but because my land line was disconnected in anticipation of the move, I only had a trac phone for which I pay for service by the minute. I would estimate that I used about $30.00 worth of air time. I know it was at least $20.00, because I bought that much on Saturday and only spoke with U-Haul before I ran out of time on Sunday. On Monday, I checked with my bank and discovered that U-Haul had taken the money out with my debit card, as arranged. However, the full amount, including the estimated mileage was taken, even though I only drove it about 12 miles or so. Location? It's convenient, being downtown, but the trailers' placement creates a safety hazard, as attested by my bruises and scrapes. It is also difficult to enter/ exit, being on a one way busy street. Equipment well maintained? Obviously not, as you can see from the above. Recommend it to a friend? Why should I? I have heard nothing about any kind of compensation for any of these trials.

I moved from Spokane to Coeur d'Alene. Had I rented this truck for a longer move, I would NOT have driven it - I would have turned around and taken it back. I will not rent from this location again. The truck was old and not well maintained, the driver's door didn't close well, a lot of slack in the steering, etc.

I really liked renting your U-haul but, I just had a problem with having the U-haul for 6 hours on a very hot day. I got the U-haul about noon and was told we had to have it back by closing at 7? I thought you could rent a truck for a day> I only got to move one load going a total of 13 miles with the U-haul. That brings up another problem. I was told that if we bring the U-haul back with the same amount of gas it had when we got it, we wouldnt be charged for gas. When I looked at the recent later, I noticed I was charged for gas as well as for the rental fee. I only went 13 miles as stated earlier and put more gas in then what we used. I didnt like being charged extra for gas! I will use U-haul again when needed, but hope that we can have it longer and not be charged for gas after leaving gas the same as when we got it...

Check the equipment. I found white metal bars left inside from the previous customer. Show how to take trailer on and off. It was like it was stuck on something every time I tried to take it off even though I unscrewed the thing all the way.

My credit card was reserved then when I went to the location they wanted to charge my card again. The man at the counter could see the pending transaction for uhaul on my credit card on my iPhone but he still wanted yo charge my card again. I was at my credit limit so I could not do this. I did not have quite enough cash. $100 was required. I asked to put $20 on my card and take $80 cash. He could not accommodate. I had movers waiting for me at the house it was a nightmare. I ended up having to call my mom and use her credit card. The people at the counter were completely unwilling to make any changes to accommodate my situation. I have used uhaul to move 4 times in the last 3 years this was a terrible experience

Truck was very, very difficult to start. Found out upon return that they knew about it and rented it anyway. What if it had died during my move? That could have cost me a lot of money, since I had movers on the clock. Truck was also not as easy to steer as others I have rented...very sensitive. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the general manager was MIA and a young guy in training was obviously frustrated with the lack of guidance and help. They kept bickering with each other. Service was relatively quick, but there was a line, and there is nowhere to park. Entrance was blocked by trucks and equipment that were not pulled forward like they could have been, both at pickup and return, on a Thursday mid-day. General Manager instructed everyone to park cars on the street, even though it is only two or three hour parking. I did not get a parking ticket but was highly dissatisfied with the street as the only parking option, since I had to drive myself to pick up a truck and had no one who could drop me off at the location. I would not recommend this location and will be very wary of ever using them again.

Middle console was broken/detached . When I called the 8805 n division location, it wasn't conveyed that I would have to pickup downtown. The pads were mistakenly not added in the truck as requested, but the Customer Service Agent was friendly.
