When I picked up the trailer and dropped it off, nobody could explain why I was charged more than what I was supposed to be charged. I will call the manager in the morning. They had my size trailer where I went for the reservation and to pay but they sent me 4 miles away to pick up a different trailer. I called to report the lights did not work Saturday morning and no response for 2 days.

I had no problem at all with the location. However, I had probably the worst imaginable experience possible with traffic and dispatch. I made my reservation on April 24th. My equipment was supposed to be available in TAYLORVILLE but was not. I spent over two hours on the phone with your 1-800 number. I was basically told I was out of luck. I had requested a 15 foot truck and was told I'd have to have a 27 foot truck instead, which used a TREMENDOUS amount of fuel. Furthermore, the trailer that I had requested to haul my car was not even remotely close by, and I had to use my father's F-350 to go get it in DIVERNON Illinois. Then, I got double charged for the trailer, which at this point in the game, I was so frustrated that I said "to hell with it" and paid for it. I feel that U-Haul owes me some money. Then, when I finally got to the Uhaul spot in Springfield to pick up my truck that was twice the size of what I wanted and needed, traffic had given my unit to someone else. I spent an hour at the location while the patient and kind young man behind the counter helped me. Finally, I was on my way. Again, no beef with this location at all. They were professional and courteous. U-haul, as a company, made my moving experience absolutely a hellish nightmare and I would appreciate a phone call from a customer service manager at 217-802-6098.

I reserved a VAN on line, my understanding is if you reserve something when you get to the place to pick it up it should be there. I felt sorry for the poor boy that was there alone on a Friday afternoon trying to help everyone. When I arrived there was 3 people waiting for help. He went out to get a truck for someone and was gone a long time. Came in and told the guy he was sorry he had to switch trucks cause the one that he was going to give him was full of trash. I spent 1hour and 45 min waiting for it to be my turn. The guy in front of me was told they couldn't find his reservation, that he could take a pickup or try another location. Someone had turned the airconditioning off and when the boy finally said is anyone else hot and went to see the temp he flipped the air on and said it was 80. When it was finally my turn, he could not find the keys for the last van he had available, after I threw a fit he called Stevenson location and they said to give me the van that was suppose to be going to their location and have me return it to Stevenson Location. When I got there to return it, the paperwork said I was to return it to Burns location and the man had to find his manager to see if he could fix the mistake. I was not at all happy, and as far as the van itself it was very very new but the rubber mat that was in the back had a terrible odor it gave myself and my granddaughter both a headache and I had a terrible taste in my mouth after driving it. I was transporting my birds and was very concerned for their safety with the fumes. Over all I think the boy did the best he could but the management needs to be woke up.

Have the equipment ready per the customer request. I feel I was treated right after mistakes were made, but it cost me an hour of my travel time/packing time. I am specific about what I want in the equipment (which is very minimal). I wanted ring tie-downs in the back and the trailer I received didn't have them. Also, the tailights did not work. This was not observed by staff but my me. If I would not have noticed I could've been ticketed. Worse yet, I could've caused an accident if rear driver did not observe my lane-change due to a turn signal burned out. Equipment well-maintained and efficient sales are #1. Make it happen.

Long trip..........Nice truck.......suggestions for over the road.........would have been nice to have cruise control..........also a CD/DVD player in the radio.........for Audio book tapes Etc, your radio was useless on the Road................Also the 3-4 Plug ins for power was nice, but a USB port would have helped.....for our devices.....................

The trailer that I rented leaked on my furniture. I had set a dinning room table on its side (solid walnut) and the grain wicked up water on the cloth pad. I hope that the finish is still OK.

The truck didn't have as much gas in it as it was supposed to, so we had to stop early in the trip to fuel up. This wood have been fine had there not been a glitch with the fuel gage. We stopped pumping, turned the truck on, and saw that we still had less than a quarter of a tank. So we put more gas in, did the same thing, and were still at less than a quarter of a tank. Finally, we left the gas station and as we drove down the road, the gas gage move up past the half tank mark. That's extra money we'll never get back--you're welcome, Uhaul. This was all small potatoes though, compared to the absolute nightmare we went through trying to reserve the truck.

I went to the Stevenson Dr. Location two days before pickup and reserved a trailer when I went to pick the trailer up after waiting 1/2 hour in line I was told that the trailer was accross town at another location, I could understand this if I hadn't made arrangements ahead of time, it was a waste of my time and an inconvenience for which I was not compensated.

The young man who was working, Alexander T., was very efficient and thorough. It was evident that he was the only one working on a busy day, yet he was able to manage everything quickly. Upon return of the truck, I saw that there was a second person working who, despite being asked to help his co-worker see to the needs of a number of customers who were waiting, refused to do so.
