Excellent service. My trailer harness was corroded and lights wouldn't work. They took time to clean up my connections instead of trying to sell me new wiring. Strong work.

One of the customer service representatives (Nick) was very helpful and competent, the other was very unapproachable and gruff to where it could be interpreted as rudeness. Perhaps the older employee would be happier not interacting with customers but working on other aspects of the business.
Uhaul needs to improve on its advertising. It was $19.95 for the rental, plus just over that amount for milage (30 miles), plus $10 for insurance coverage, plus we had to pay for the gas we used, taxes, fees... It was over $70 for a 30 mile trip, but was advertised as $19.95. We were expecting this, but I am sure many other customers are unhappily surprised that it is not a flat rate.

1) Someone who smokes drove the van before me. It was awful.
2) It was firmly explained to me that I would need to fill up the van to 7/8. There were clear instructions on how to have that happen based upon amount driven and the fill line. But when I got in the van the mileage wasn't reset. So I wasn't sure how far I had actually driven. Also, that fill chart does not align with what I could see on the van dash. So I ended up putting more in than I should have. If I didn't fill to 7/8, then I would have had to pay $30. How about if I overfill? Do I get a rebate?
Basically, I wouldn't have said anything if the van was actually bearable to sit in. The cost for gas was $10 for me, so to pay a bit more wasn't that big a deal. The thing that bothered me was how I was spoken to by the guy behind the counter (way above firmly, like I was a college student who was going to beat the van up or something). Terrible customer service and cigarette-smoke air to breathe? Really? Just an all-out disgrace!

Overall a good experience. The associate who helped me was very professional and made sure I had all needed materials and helped me hitch/test my trailer to make sure everything was road ready. Although I would have liked a more personal experience, I can appreciate a brief businesslike interaction. Thanks for making my rental experience a good one, I will be back the next time I require your services.

Everything was great, except the tail lights were not working properly. They would turn off when you hit the break, turn on when you let off the break and the wrong side would light up when put your turn signal on. Not sure how these work, but I think the gentleman at the uhaul place may have just connected them wrong?

I rent a 24' truck there twice a year. This is the same truck I get every time and it is finally getting to the point where I feel it is unsafe. The transmission kicks in sometimes and sometimes not. The steering is incredibly loose and it is hard to stay on line. This truck needs to be retired. I will still rent from there because the location is convenient, but I wish they could get a newer truck.
