I waited until three days after my experience to calm down and express my frustration as productively as possible. After watching the staff work with some of the customers that come in I truly do get that a large portion of the clientele are challenging, and no doubt wearying. That said, your staff mixed up the concepts of "efficiency" with "effectiveness". (NOTE: I realize that this is a review of storage only. My vehicle rental, which was without incident, is referred to only as part of the overall process). Simply put, there was a very profound lack of communication on behalf of the staff member (Khalila, I believe her name was) and myself in terms of some very significant details. When asked if I wanted first or second floor, she did not mention that there was a cost difference between the two. While I still ultimately would have made the choice I did, I felt it misleading to publish a price for a specific size of unit and not indicate that the floor level was an upgrade. Many of the other prices had a clear footnote of "and up"; I felt I had been subject to "bait-and-switch" by not having been provided this information. The larger issue was with respect to our storage access. I specifically requested extended access, knowing that we would not be returning prior to the 7:00 standard closing time. We were handed our card with no instructions on how to use it, where to access storage load/unload, or anything further. She had spent a lot of time with other customers going over fine details as we waited patiently for our turn - for some reason she chose to be "efficient" with us rather than "effective". From the simple instructions she gave me I was led to believe that this would be a straight-forward process and. choosing not to delay the other clientele behind me any further, I departed. That was my mistake. When my daughter and I returned shortly after 8:00, we were more than dismayed to find that our card failed to access the unit. There are three card readers on the outside and we tried all three - to no avail. I calmly called the number on the back of the card, only to be informed that my storage rental was not equipped with extended access. Needless to say, I was furious. I had traveled a long distance to take care of these details in the evening and head back. Now I found myself needing to arrange overnight lodging at my own expense, make arrangement for late arrival at work, and in general disrupt my life because of failure of your staff to fulfill their duties. I arrived shortly after opening the next morning, intent on not letting my experience with another staff member cloud my approach to the current one. This one was insistent, however, that I had been provided extended access and that surely I had done something wrong. This quickly turned me sour once more, especially since I had been assured by the person I called on the number on the back of the card that no such arrangement had been made. This

Associate said I would receive 25 dollars if I filled tank passed the original mark when rented but I never did and the lady at the return place said that its not policy to do that.

Enthusiastic staff overtightened the coupler and didn't grease a brand new ball, so it cut a groove into the ball within 100 miles. Can't imagine that was good for the coupler either....

We arrive at our scheduled time for pick up to fund an old, beat up, rusty truck that we are supposed to be renting for $39.99/day, sitting next to 4 almost new trucks of the same size. When I ask to get the newer trucks or to get a discount, I'm offered a newer, but smaller 17-ft truck that is $29.99/day. Rental truck worked good, even though we had to pay twice the amount in mileage since we had to make 2 trips in the smaller truck. At the drop off time, we find out the reservation was only modified for the truck size, not the $10 cheaper price, so we ended up spending $20 more than originally planned due to an increase in mileage having to make 2 trips. Looks like our planned 2 reservations over the next 3 wks to move from the storage unit to new house will be with another location.

The store manager was extremely rude and had zero customer service interest. The employees attitudes were also reflected from his rudeness. Everyone at the counter had no interest in helping the customers, they were only interested in getting their money and ink on the paper. I've been a U-Haul customer for quite some years and have never experienced this poor of customer service at any other location then this one.

My initial contact was unsatisfactory. I had called in to the 96th and Pacific store to reserve a 10-foot truck. When I arrived, the clerk informed me that the 10-footer had not been returned, but there was a truck available at the store at 15315 Pacific. When I arrived there, I was informed that the only option was for me to rent a 15-foot truck, which was more truck than I needed or wanted. Having no other option, I took the 15-footer. The truck was adequate and clean. Other than the initial mix up, I have no complaints. Chris Constantine

Truck got rescheduled to a further location, and pick up/drop off time changed. I reserved WEEKS ahead of time so this wouldn't happen. Truck leaked water in the storage area, gas tank had a hole in it, causing me to use 9 gallons of gas to go 23 miles. Tank wasn't full at pickup. Wrong millage at pickup on paperwork, so they tried to charge me for 77 miles, lucky I took a photo of mileage at pick up so I couldn't be over-charged. Couldn't drop off near my new home, and not one of the employees was happy or acted like they wanted to even be there, much less help anyone. It was a disaster.
