As a U-Haul storage and rental facility I would expect it to be clean and professional and it was. They made it very easy and I would recommend the location.

My truck had multiple leaks in the roof. It was raining heavily in Tampa and my couch and mattress will now need to be professionally cleaned. I brought it up when I dropped the truck off and was told to call the insurance company I purchased. They don't not cover water damages. Very unhappy with the truck.

Owner was dismissive, the lady checking me in was not respectful of my time, talked non sense, I was ready to get it and GO. Except for the lady everyone seemed miserable. I understand it's not the best job, but at least act like you appreciate people's business and care about the service they're providing. These people were not as helpful and I will NOT be back after my storage is up.

Horrible. I reserved a storage unit 20x13x8 and was told when I arrived that is was not available. Was told that it was reserved NOT rented (uhaul offered first month free). They rented it to someone else and had given me a smaller storage 10x13. Caused a HuGe issue because I was not able to fit 2/3 of what I had needed to store. I called twice to confirm storage before arriving. I felt they should of given me two 10x13 units. Also I was at the storage past midnight when a homeless guy entered the building. I was scared for my safety and left without finishing transferring items to storage. The next day I brought to the attention of the manager, he was fully aware that homeless guy was sleeping in the building. The owners attitude was dismissive and not polite. The only guy that was helpful was th guy checking in equipment, his name was Casper. I plan on going into YELP to complain about the poor service and its people. I am very disappointed about the storage unit. What was the point in having a reservation if they are going to not honor it. Very disappointing.

Immediately after I booked at the location of preference, I was called to be advised a different location AND different size truck (for same price though)--I didnt want a big truck to drive. Why do you show a size and location available, but then it isn't? Bait and Switch? The reservation person that called me said is 4pm a good time, I said probably would be there around six, she kept the 4pm and said would be no problem. I was dropped off at 445, and told they almost cancelled it, and i could only have it until 4pm the next day because that was when the reservation was booked. NOT GOOD! At the rental place, the lady was very rushed, she never walked the truck with me, I had to ask her to walk around for any damage, and there was...she marked it down. (otherwise they probably would have charged me when I returned it.) When i returned it, there was no one available, they were all in a shed, 4 of them, I had to get out of the truck, and ask if that was where returns were or inside, they all looked like they didnt want to work, and Casper finally came out grumpely, and exclaimed he didn't want to be there today...he made me stay out of the truck in the rain while he sat in the truck trying to get his hand held thing to work....finally I told him i was going inside, he said you pay here, I said I was paying cash, and so then he told me ok it was inside. Inside I waited over 15 minutes to pay cash, only one person at counter...only to be told a different ampoutn than what Casper outside told me...she finally agreed to adjust to the same price Casper advised (she removed some additional charge, and miraculously it went back to the same amount Casper advised outside. Horrible , Frustrating, with all the truck rental places available (I did Budget on Westshore last time) how does this place stay in business?

I reserved a 10' truck several weeks ago to pick in the AM and the Manager from the Gandy, Tampa store calls me the day before to tell me the truck will not be available until 12:45 in the PM and he can't communicate with the U-Haul reservations to find another AM pickup at the other Tampa locations. Manager also indicated that since the reservation was done through the U-Haul website or reservations and not his store, they really didn't have to honor the morning reservation. So far, this customer can not recommend the Gandy store in Tampa and until U-Haul honors their agreement with me, can't recommend U-Haul either.

I would not use the online reservation again. I had to give the CSR most of the info that I had already entered online at the counter. It seemed to take just as long to pick up the trailer as it did when I was with a friend picking up a trailer.

Spent over 1.5 hours in the rain trying to get a 5 X 8 trailer as the technicians connecting the trailers did not check the license tag lights causing replacement of three trailers. The fourth trailer was the charm. It was a very poor experience, one that caused a lot of frustration for something so simple. Thanks for issuing me a survey.

The online reservation system was a major fail. It tried to send me miles out of my way for pickup, and when I tried to enter a much closer location that had what I needed it wasn't listed. I finally cancelled and did it the old fashioned way....by telephone.

The trucks cab had a strong odor of cigarettes. I would recommend installing air freshers or at least spraying some to clear out odors

Would definitely recommend. Customer service is usually first rate and location is prime. Judith is a gem, and has been a fixture there for years. Had a recent snag on a minor issue recently, and Todd(Manager) took quick action to resolve.
