The passenger side inside door handle was broken off, which made it very hard to close door when seated inside. The "check engine" light comes on when you start vehicle, and then flashes all the time you are driving. Very nerve racking while driving--am I going to make it or not to my destination and back? And finally, when I got the bill the next day in my email, UHaul charged me for 2 days, when I had it for only one. It took 5 days to get this resolved.

They had to put my card info in 3 times because her computer was not working, then asked if I was sure my billing zip code was right. Her Co worker had to come over and run it on her computer, I think I had give my billing zip code like 5 times.

the truck was very dirty. I had to sweep it out before I could load it. If I had looked before I drove off, I would not have accepted it. I turned the truck in in the evening and forgot to refuel it. I was given a phone call to come get the truck and fuel it so as not to pay the premium price for fuel.I couldn't get there until 10:15 AM. They said truck was going out at 10:00. I went by anyway abt. 10:15. They said customer at counter was taking the truck I turned in. It turns out he was taking a bigger truck. They clained they could not re-open invoice, I would have to call corporate to get anything resolved. Which I will do in the next couple of days. Also, furniture pads, I got 12, but only used 6. The other 6 were still in the poly pack they came in and they said to get credit I would have to call corporate. Back to the truck. The passenger side seat belt broken. Pasenger side door pull was broken, and the check engine light was on. I explained that the gas cap was most likely the problem, but they did not seem to concerned. I'm sure it was the cap as I took it off and wiped it out and the light went off for a short time. anyway, thats my story and I'm sticking to it! Pete Russell

Figure out a better way for employees to read the gas gauge. I drove 7.5 miles round trip, put 1.677 gallons in ($5.00) and was told I owed for gas because "the gauge reads lower" than when I took it out even though the needle sat in the same place. If I owed, that means the truck gets less than 4.5 mpg. Really?

The noise in the truck cab was deafening. There's no sound proofing since you cut away parts of it to make the cargo hold. Intolerable.

Staff at Metro Self Storage have been instructed to not lift tongue of rental trailer onto hitch due to liability factor. The tongue weight on the largest of the enclosed towable trailers is almost too much for a large guy to lift alone let alone a female. If a company rents U-Hauls they need to be required to assist customers.

The truck was filthy inside and had trash in the back of the truck. It rained while I was moving to my new place and the cabin was leaking and I ended basically driving in a huge puddle. I was completely soaked by the time I arrived at my house. Utterly ridiculous.

1. If someone schedules a truck for a location and time, don't send them an email scheduling them for a different location! 2. Also, have more than 1 worker per location, we waited 30min just to get to the counter because she had to handle 1 person at a time = Get customer name, take credit card, send them outside to inspect the truck (no other interaction with customers while this is taking place) finally they return with the inspection sheet, finalize the paperwork, then next customer...if you have 4 people in line it could take 45 mins - 1 hr just to get everything done and sometimes the rental is for 4 hrs and we could be wasting 1 hr waiting in line...teach them to multi-task!

Ensure that the vehicles are working properly before renting them out to other customers. Nothing in the truck was working. We had to buy our own lock because the lock was broken and had to get a neighbor with a large truck to jump the truck because it would not turn on at all. It was so inconvenient because we had items that needed to be in a room controlled temperature. In addition to all the problems with the truck dying, we had to get someone to leave their car on with their head lights so that we can have light inside of the truck to unload our items. I do not believe that we got our monies worth out of the truck because we had to spend additional money for services that were supposed to come included in the price we paid. We have another reservation that is scheduled for Friday 8/8/14 and are considering canceling and taking our business to a different company because the issues we had with this rental was unacceptable.

This time our experience with U-Haul was really good, unlike our experience with our U-Haul rental in Land O'Lakes last year. The young man at the Metro Self Storage on Dona Michelle, was very pleasant and helpful. We got what we needed in a very timely manner.
