Location was a bit hard to find, passed it and had to turn around. Uhaul sign is small and hard to see until your right there. GPS was wrong too on location. Otherwise drop off went fast

The owner of the company has usual as his 3rd job. Office hours were 2 pm to 5 pm. Information given to me by his employees was in direct conflict to what the owner would tell me. Upon my pick up time, no one was at the office and I had to walk around his farm stead to find an employee. The check out took over a half hour as the employee stated: "This is not normally my job." The vehicle I was given gas Guage did not match what the contract stated, I learned at my drop off location that I was given the wrong rental truck. It was a difficult return as the truck I was given was for another customer who was meant to return to original site, while I was contracted for a one else way drop off In Fargo ND. The contract had to be changed online by the Fargo return site manager. I ended up having to add 12 gallons of gast hat I should not of been responsible for. i

I've rented a couple of times from this Uhaul location and each time they have gone above and beyond to help with our rental. Why can't all businesses be committed to customer service like Fast Graphics.

Wiring on trailer was bad. Provider wiggled wire and lights worked. Light went out while hauling, and I had to stop and fix on the UHaul equipment. Also specified where I would drop of trailer, it was changed without my approval. I don't deliver trailers to where you want them, if so you pay me.......

The situation was this: I was delayed in leaving my departure location (5 hours away) and wasn't going to make my deadline. So I called--I didn't have the local number in my paperwork so I used the 800 number which was provided in the U-Haul paperwork. To the person who answered (a woman), I explained the issue and was told that as long as I got the back in the morning (preferably before the 8:30 business start time), it would be OK. I was happy. The next day, I dropped off the van as mentioned, called later to check in and was told that the van was "late" (by original deadline day/time) and therefore an additional day would be charged. I explained that I had called. I was told that three is no woman at the location (there was at the 800 number, I'd called earlier, however). The guy in Thief River Falls was argumentative and rehashed the fact that the van was late (it was, but not per the arrangements I'd made with the 800 number). OK, I was late but had made the effort to communicate--that message obviously hadn't been relayed. So, I am paying for the extra day, but the argumentative issues didn't actually surprise me (they did irk me, however); I'd read the reviews prior to selecting U-Haul and those reviews really let me know what I'd be running into. Conclusion: The Thief River Falls office has a very disgruntled guy working there. If U-Haul can sever its relationship with that location, it would save itself from much greater/higher scrutiny. Just to be clear, it was the 800 number (the regional coordinator?) that didn't communicate (apparently). But it was the argumentative nature of the local location in Thief River Falls, the fact that the owner?/worker? wasn't even able to have a reasonable business discussion (regardless of the eventual outcome) that was the biggest faux pas. Very poor--why doesn't U-Haul act on the proliferation of poor reviews on the internet for this location?? Lousy customer service. Really an aggravating situation. But thanks for asking--nice to get that out of my system.
