I was required to sign volumes of disclaimers for Uhaul, park in another business' parking lot without their permission and the truck ran poorly. I felt sorry for the employees to be required to deliver so many threats of action against the client. I will tell people not to go to TIgard UHaul.

The location was great. We also got a free storage unit along with the purchase of the one way Uhaul rental. When we pulled up, we were greeted with the location manager Ron, he was very accommodating and friendly. I felt I was in good hands and had confidence in everything he did. He signed us up for a storage unit as well as checked in out Uhaul rental. 2 things that happened during the transaction that were concerning and I caution others to beware. 1. He was going to automatically charge us for being over in Uhaul rental miles. I thought for a second and realized that I had not. I was given 20 additional miles to accommodate any extra commute I may need allowing a total of 94 miles. Ron explained that I had over used my miles and without asking any questions he told me he was going to charge an additional $4.00. I had to interrupt him and tell him that there was no way that I had overused my miles, especially with the 20 additional accommodation miles. I insisted he pull out a calculator and calculate my given miles vs used miles. The calculation was in my favor and only reflected 72 instead of what the computer said 94. He was confused why the computer would not pick that up. If it wasn't for me challenging it or just simply dropping off my keys I would have been wrongfully charged. 2. After signing up for 24 hour access with the store manager I expect to have 24 hour access...right? Wrong. I work very late in Hillsboro and needed the 24 hour access so i could stop by my locker to add or remove items before or after work with no restrictions. At 11:30pm I go to my storage locker to pull out some things that I will need the following day before I go to work that is necessary for my work day. I also have a car load of things that i need to drop off at my locker to give us more space in our new location. To my inconvenience and surprise I have no access. I pulled out the receipt from Uhaul that shows that I paid for 24 hour access and to ensure that the code is correct. My code was correct and I was in fact charged the extra $10 for 24 hour access, so i left confused and angry about not having access especially when I was in fact charged for it. The following day, I called the location to explain my inconvenience, they simply told me I would get free 24 hour access for a month a $10 value. I don't feel this is sufficient for the amount of inconvenience and frustration this whole Uhaul experience has caused me and my family. That doesn't even pay for the gas that it took to go to and from the storage unit for nothing but wasted time to account for. I have lost a great deal of confidence in Uhaul as a company with my bad truck rental experience and now this. I will expect to be contacted via email or phone.

Our family has rented from other U-haul businesses in the past with decent results. But the U-haul in Tigard was an absolutely disasterous experience for us. The manager, Ron Ramaeker, was disrespectful and completely unhelpful. When our tow vehicle broke down in Missoula, Montana we called the manager in Tigard and explained our situation, asking what we needed to do to drop the trailer off at the local Missoula U-haul business. Ron Ramaeker abruptly informed us the trailer "could not" be left in Missoula as it was his "local" trailer. He also falsely accused me of not informing him we were taking the trailer to Missoula. I pointed out to him that while our on-line reservation form did not ask abour our travel plan for the trailer I voluntarily disclosed our plans to him as well as to the staff member who assisted in hooking the trailer up to our tow vehicle. Ron Ramaeker continued to insist he had "no knowledge" of this. I event told him about the customer who was in the building at the same time I disclosed our travel plans to him and told him where that customer was taking his trailer. But all to no avail. When I pointed out to him the trailer had out of state plates and why in the world was it local if it had come from another location he ignored the point. He threatened to assess additional tow fees and drop fees if we left the trailer in Missoula. Even though we were having to leave our tow vehicle in Missoula and had no way to tow it with the rental car we had to lease, Ron Ramaeker continued to insist we had not disclosed any information about the trip and that if we did not bring the trailer back it would be at a significant charge to our credit card. We had to bring an additional vehicle from our home to Missoula in order to bring the trailer home. The service was completely unprofessional, discourteous and without any consideration for us as customers. The word is already out at the University of Montana NOT to rent from U-Haul! I will never use them again because of the miserable and unprofessional treatment we received from the Tigard manager Ron Ramaeker.

This location has nothing buyt hard working customer-friendly employees and management, and has for a number of years that I have loyally been going there! They could not be better and I was loaned/rented a brand new (literally less than 30 miles on it) van! It doesn't get any better that that!

This store is top notch! The staff is excellent and extremely fast, the trucks are beautiful and well maintained, i have never had even close to as good an experience with any other store of any kind. I am glad to have had the pleasure of moving with Tigard Uhaul. Also Tyler did a bang up job with my rental, that guy is On the Ball!

Unfortunately the truck that was rented to me was first put into service in 2001. This truck is definitely past its service life. The truck overheated because a belt broke and something was wrong with the alternator. Not the best experience, but the general manager Ron provided good customer service and I will still use U-haul in the future.

Maybe I could have used a little bit of instruction and tips on driving a 20 foot Uhaul truck. I just pretended I knew how to drive a big truck but in reality, it was the first time EVER!!

I made the reservation via your internet website, WHICH I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN, because if I would of contacted the Tigard location directly I would of saved .29 per mile do to my renting a local truck for 5 days and having to travel 300 plus miles because your one way rates were so very expensive.

The staff is great! My move did not go as smoothly as planned, it got pushed back and then took 2 days longer than expected. Every time I called to change or extend my rental the staff was quick, friendly and accommodating. I appreciate the good service during such a stressful time.

Luckily, I had to leave my car across the street at Les Scwab for servicing. Sounds like there wasn't much parking at this U Haul location. I would not have been happy to make a 4 hour rental and having to park off-site.
