AFTER I DID ALL PAPER WORK TO GET A 24'TRUCK,DOUG WENT OUT TO DO WHAT HE HAD TO DO BEFORE HE RELEASED THE UNIT.AFTER I DID A WALK AROUND BY MYSELF I COULD NOT GET THE DRIVERS DOOR OPEN,OR GET THE WASHERS TO WORK SO I COULD SEE OUT.THE WINDOWS WERE NEVER CLEANED .FULL OF SALT FROM LAST PERSON WHO USED IT.WASHER BOTTLE WAS FROZEN.I FIX THE DOOR.BOUGHT SOME WD40 AND SPRAYED THE DOOR LOCK AND THE TUMBLER,GUESS WHAT IT WORKED FINE.WERE IS THE INSPECTING DONE.I NEVER HAD A BAD TRUCK AT ANY OTHER LOCATION .I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO BACK TO THAT ONE.I BELEAVE IN SAFETY FIRST.

For a fairly brand new cargo van, the inside of the windshield was dirty and the steering wheel also felt very dirty. Other than that, everyone was friendly and courteous.

If there's a specific time that the individual needs to have their rentals in by on the day they're due back then explicitly inform said individual of that particular time via email, text & by calling before that time has passed. To hit them with an additional fee for being a couple hours late without ever having been informed prior, this is an unethical practice that not only will the local BBB be contacted about but also Yelp, Google & Facebook. Unfortunately this will also more than likely deter me from using the UHaul brand in the future despite my 25+ years of brand loyalty. This UHaul location has indefinitely lost my future business after the manager Doug made absolutely no effort to make it right with me, I was still expected to pay the $58+ additional charge even after he admitted his "new employee who's still in training" neglected to tell me of the time restriction. His candor during the interaction was also completely inappropriate as well, to laugh and smirk throughout like the whole thing was so amusing to him only served to cement my feelings about him and his unwillingness to help, the company in general and this previously undisclosed therefore invalid additional charge which felt an awful lot like a last minute hustle aka 'slamming and cramming'. I paid the charge to avoid further unneeded confrontation since I had family in the car waiting with the engine running, but it doesn't make it right. This was wrong. I do expect the incident to be escalated and to see a full refund of said charge. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.

Get newer trucks. The thing feels like it's falling apart when you drive. The driver door would not shut securely, the whole dash board rattled, and the glove compartment kept falling open.

The only thing that I did not approve of was when I parked the truck I parked it by the stop sign where you have to stop when you turn in a vehicle, which was right behind my car where I had parked it and left it over night. I realized this after I finished checking out and asked the gentleman working if he could move it for me so I could back out. He came out and did move it but did not do a very good job of moving it and it was difficult for me to maneuver the vehicle out of the parking lot. Granted this particular one is on a strange st corner that makes the entire parking lot the corner of a triangle. Other then that the service was great and the gentleman was the person I was serviced by when I picked it up and dropped off.

Truck needs to have the drivers handle fixed, also the glove box keeps popping open when ever you hit a bump. The ABS system is not working correctly on the truck.

The employees at this location, were very helpful, professional and polite. I appreciated the way Mr. Jason Lee took care of me, considering I had just come from 50. W. Alexis, where the equipment I had reserved online, on the 14th of October was, no longer available. I was told they had me in the system for a bigger truck. I showed them the papers I had received through my email, showing my confirmation and with my Master Order No., which stated I had reserved the 9' Cargo van. I was told again, that I had been upgraded to the next size truck, which had a higher mileage price. My friend, who was with me, asked if there were any other stores who had the equipment I needed, and at first was told no. Someone else said, we can check for you. So that is how I was sent to the 2808 Monroe Street U-Haul. I was ready to walk out of the other store and figure out something else. They were very rude and disrespectful. So in the middle of a stressful move and being treated disrespectfully, I am very appreciative of Mr. Lee, as well as the other gentleman who helped me, when I returned the equipment on Sunday. I believe he was the store manager.

Please contact me about my guaranteed rental reservation #80770606 from the east broadway store 765053. They called me 5 minutes before I was to pickup my truck saying they did not have it or one like it. I could not find a Ryder rental truck store so I stopped at the Monroe store instead. 517-260-1919 or email me. You need to hear this nightmare from one of your U-Haul stores.

Was not happy at all that the pick-up location was moved from my preferred pick-up without any discussion with me. I realize that UHaul needs to manage these vehicles, and this comment has nothing to do with the pick-up location itself, but this inconvenience was at the expense of the customer. The actual pick-up location was much further away from my loading point......which required me to leave earlier from work, drive through rush hour downtown traffic and drive additional miles (with the inherent additional mileage to UHaul and additional fuel expense). Prior to the pick-up, I had sent a message to customer service, via the website, to discuss the location - and received no response. I called customer service - and I was forwarded to a dispatcher. The dispatcher had a canned response, by saying there was nothing they could do......before even asking for my reference number to look up the details. UHaul has a LONG way to go in regards to customer service - and subsequent satisfaction.

There was an issue with police dealing with something unrelated to the site in the parking lot, but an employee came out to get us and kept us safe while we dropped off the equipment.
