I originally reserved a moving truck for this past Saturday (10/25) from the Buffalo Main Steet location. When I arrived at 10:30 am on the 25th, the desk manager informed me that I was to pick up the truck at 8:00 am and that because I did not show, they rented the truck to someone else. I was in the middle of moving my home and desparately needed the truck. I had rented cargpo vans the past 2 prior weekends from the same Buffalo office (where I also had a storage unit at $59.00 a month). When I asked why didn't anyone first contact me before letting the truck go, I was told that its done by the computer. I was then told (as was everryone else in line) that there were no trucks available at any of the Buffalo Uhaul offices for that day (10/25) by the manager on staff. I walked out as did the other half dozen people in line. I then frantically called other trucking companies and after striking out with Budget, I found a truck with Penske. On my way to pick up the Penske truck, I received a call from Uhaul's corporate office in Rochester. They advised that they found a truck for me that was available at the Tonwanda location. They offered to give me the larger truck at same price as the smaller truck I had reserved. I canceled with Penske and went with their offer as the Kenmore office was closer than the Penske office and the Uhaul cost was lower. The customer service at your Buffalo store is terrible. Especially with the heavy set manager who is outright rude to people. Rather than try to locate me another truck, he told me there were none available. But miracurously one of your Rochester customer service reps was willing to help me out. I would never recommend the Buffalo location. My experience there was terrible. I understand that they are an inner city location and that patrons can be a bit rough around the edges, but there is no reason for the rudeness and lack of personal service.

The people need to be a bit more friendly and smile. The truck was not clean when I received it. When I brought it back they said the gas was way below the what it should've been. I told them to go read it again because I knew it wasn't and they said I was right. Overall they were not pleasant.

Everything was great but the trick i received was very clean witch i was very happy about and great customer service i did have a billion question and the agent was able to answer them but the truck drove funny it was making a noise and when i accelerated it reved up real high then switch gears and jerked and the gas Gage moved constantly so i wasent really sure what the gas level was at but apparently i did return with were it was when picked up due to not getting a charge for gas.but overall i 99% i will rent again from that location for any future moves

I don't understand all the ex tra charges. I need to rent again in the beginning of November because we are moving but unless you contact me to work something out on this bill I will go elsewhere. The van we rented had dirty mirrors, the vehicle shook at high speed and I had to replace an interior bulb so I could see while loading. Please contact me David Kuhlmey 716-830-3379

Hire more trustworthy employees. I made a point of checking my mileage and refilling the gas tank, but after returning the truck at 10 PM, I was told in the morning that I had driven 3 miles further than the Odometer read when I parked, and that the tank was two galons short of the Full line, despite my having put in $12 of gas and placing it well over full before parking. Employees are defrauding customers.

The trucks engine light flashed on several times during the trip and the ramp broke after loading the second trip... Had to unload very heavy furniture and appliances with seven people since the ramp wouldn't work.

There is a shortage of 26 foot truck with u haul. ..even though my order was right on and i brought the truck back early...others were promised a 26 ft and were happy to see me return it early...also when i first got my conformation. I called to ck if i could pick it up one hour earlier and the location of my reservation at 1st didn't have a 26 ft truck for me.....lad i called. ..

I Made my reservation using U-Haul's toll free number. The agent who helped me told me I could have 20% extra miles for free, as I explained I would be traveling to several locations to pick up and drop off furniture. When I arrived at my pickup location, the manager of that location told me there was no record in the comments section of my reservation granting the extra miles. He refused me the extra miles and wrote to his regional supervisor, who also refused to grant the miles. They told me that U-Haul never under any circumstance grants such large amounts of additional mileage. He casually informed me that I would only have to pay an additional $30 for the miles I was requesting, even though your sales agent at the toll-free office had already confirmed the mileage to me. I phoned the toll-free number again and spoke to another sales representative, who told me there was no problem granting the extra miles, and that she was entering a comment to that effect in my reservation. I requested a copy of the recorded conversation, and she told me she would transfer me to customer service to obtain the copy. After I was transferred, the agent in customer service told me that she could not give me a copy of the conversation I had just had with the sales agent, but that the sales agent had to do that for me. In all, I lost about 40 minutes of time trying to sort out all of these problems. From a customer's point of view, when a sales agent confirms a reservation and grants extra miles, that reservation should be honored by every single location in your company. I suggest you review your national and regional policies and harmonize them to ensure there are no problems like the one I encountered. Also, your telephone agents should be better trained and instructed how to provide copies of recorded conversations to customers.

Location made a mistake and almost gave my reserved trailer away to a customer that had walked in and asked for one. Salesman then attempted to get me to switch to a smaller trailer than I had reserved. When I declined, salesman began questioning why I needed that certain sized trailer and insisted I take the smaller, as he stated that was all that I needed. I was in the store for about 15 minutes arguing with the salesman about my reservation. Eventually the salesman gave in and went outside and told the customer, that did not have a reservation, that he would not be able to rent the trailer. This was extremely frustrating as I had reserved the trailer I needed weeks ahead of time and paid the reservation fee. I did not plan and reserve this weeks ahead to come to the store to be hassled because the salesman made errors.

I have used other UHaul business in the past but this one is not as professional as previous experiences. From reserving a truck in a location farther away from my location to taking FIVE days to complete and charge my card for this order. To top it off they REFUSED to mail me a statement receipt of my charges and I was told I have to go to them to pick it up. The statement they sent me in an email wouldn't open probably because it was a jif file and not a jpeg. I'm going to call the main U Haul office to explain their customer service is terrible.
