The location was very well kept, but since I found out that I had to pay for time I didn't use, and I wasn't going to be reimbursed for that unused time, mileage, and extra fuel that I paid for, I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to anyone. In fact, I'm going to your Facebook page and I'll talk about this wretched experience with your company. I'll probably write your company about these horrible business practices as well.

Not local but system problems: 1) Have 10 foot trucks available. Your advertising 10' seems to me like bait & switch; even when reserved long in advance, the promise might not be kept. When this happened to my daughter, on a long interstate move, you did not charge extra rental, but of course she had to buy extra gas. 2) I was unable to reserve on line for 3 days, local return. Perhaps my stupidity, but why not make it more obvious.

Do not use this location or this company. The truck was a disaster! The customer service was equally poor. Their poor service cost me lots of extra money and stress that wasn't needed during an already stressful event. I wouldn't recommend this company at all!

I had a problem when the trailer unhitched from the ball while traveling on I-44. The safety chains prevented the trailer from pulling away, in fact one hook broke. The safety brake never did apply because the chain had too much slack. This all happened because the lock tab on the trailer ball catch allowed the lock knob to back off. A secondary safety could be applied by drilling a hole in the lock knob to keep it off balance if it we're to become loose. Never hurts to double check the equipment.

We had a time scheduled and I confirmed the time online in advance. When my husband arrived to get the hitch installed he had to wait for two hours. Then they hooked up the hitch but didn't hook up the brake lights. When my husband complained about this they informed him tat I didn't scheduled to get my brake lights hooked up and that I had to pay extra to get them hooked up. Then he asked about picking up the trailer, which was scheduled for the same time and the person behind the counter forgot about him. He waited for two hours and then she said "OH! Are you still waiting?" Then after I loaded the trailer I drove to Colorado with my nine year old son and my 10 month old daughter without any brake lights on the trailer. I finally arrive at the location in Lakewood and the manager advised me after inspecting the trailer that the brake lights were not hooked up. I told him what they told my husband about it costing extra and that it wasn't scheduled. He advised us that it doesn't cost extra and they should have made sure they were working before my husband left or it was against the law. Then he told me he could fix it but it would be an additional $70.00. Also, the ball they installed on the hitch is rusted and I would have to pay additional to get an un-rusted one. It was a horrible experience and I do have to go back to Tulsa to get the rest of my stuff when the sale of my home goes through and I'm going to have to get the brake lights fixed out of my own pocket or risk getting rear ended on my way back again.

My husband and brother picked up the moving van that went ok. The van drove very poorly. When they were driving down the highway the van would drop from 65 mph to 40mph. He also said it drove very rough like it seriously needed to be serviced. When they finally made it to Denver, CO we called to find out where we had a storage unit that was supposed to be reserved when I placed the original order and we were sent to six different Uhaul locations. Finally we arrived at the location at 750 E Buckley in Aurora, CO and they couldn't even find our contract in the system. They had to create a quote from scratch and it was 30 minutes before closing. We unloaded the trailer until midnight and we were too tired to continue and had to finish the next day and had a $70.00 late fee. It was a very poor experience.

2 issues. 1. Bill stated our rentals mileage started at 1978 it started at 1982, not a huge deal. 2. Environmental Fee, I looked it up as far as I can tell its not a tax, from your description it appears to be an internal itemized charge to help you be more green, that's great and all but either make it optional or include it in the rate. I understand your doing research to make your giant rectangles less rectangularish to save the planet etc. But here is the rub you don't get tree hugger hippie points for itemizing it. I guess you can advertise and quote the rate and itemize it seperately but my bullshit / damn dirty hippies detector cranks to 11. Just tell me what your charging and don't bilk an extra dollar behind "going green." Just quote and charge me the dollar. If you want you can have a picture of a dancing tree with a big smiley face.

When I went to return my truck this location only had one employee working. So it took almost an hour to return the truck. This location needs to have more employees scheduled especially since it was Sunday a busy day. I don't blame the employee who was working that day he did the best he could. Other than that I will rent again from here just hope it was a fluke.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental place. It took 3 hours to rent the trailer and another 3 hours to return it! This was do to the lack of staff and over charging my card. Then on top of that they insisted on charging me $20 because the trailer was dusty. I will never use your services again! Jerry

I had originally scheduled a truck to be picked up at 3303 S. Yale, but that truck had service issues so they got at truck for me at the Archer location. The city had all the streets blocked for an event that morning and access to the truck was impossible. I had workers scheduled to move me. I eventually got access and I did receive a $10 discount, however this should have been taken into account in advance. I believe Uhaul should have transferred the truck to my original pick-up location. It was not handled well, though I did eventually get resolution by calling the customer service center. frustrating and cost me time and money.

Appliance dolly was not on truck as guaranteed but they were able to get one quickly. Steve was most efficient and knowledgeable.
