When I signed for the truck, your documents stated that the fuel tank was FULL. I was in a rush, but once I got about 3 miles down the road I realized that the tank was about 1/8 of a tank BELOW FULL. You should do a better job of determining fuel tank status before you have customers sign for the vehicles. Staff was otherwise very helpful.

I reserved a trailer 3 WEEKS in advance of our date to ensure we could make plans to move our daughter, 3 DAYS before that date we got a call changing the time of our pick up time. This was going to be 3 hours later than the set time. We had resources and people relying on this time frame. I had to take time off from work and spent an hour on the phone to resolve something I had set up 3 weeks ahead. This is the second time this has happened to me. We were told that people who reserved AFTER us got priority and bumped us. This makes no sense to me. It seems to me that the people who reserve after me should not get priority. What good is a reservation if the times are not honored?

What is the point of having after-hours drop-off if you are just going to charge me for an extra day anyway. If I had know that, I would have just kept the equipment and returned it the following day to a live agent, where I would have at least received a receipt and been told face-to-face how much extra they were planning to bill me, instead of worrying about whether the transaction would be closed out correctly (since you are abandoning your equipment at an unattended lot, I had no idea whether the equipment would just be "lost", like it was at my pickup location, and I would be charged for the missing equipment)

I originally ordered my U-Haul truck from the Rome, NY location, and they changed my location without verbally telling me. I found out through a text I received the morning before I picked it up. However, I was told by the Rome location that I would receive a phone call by a real live person confirming pick-up. I was then given a 20' truck when I only asked for a 17' truck. I was subsequently charged for the 20' truck, and then was only given the 131 miles to back track to Rome, NY and then out to Albany, NY. I obviously went over the 131 miles. I would have just liked to be notified that I would be picking up the truck in Utica instead of Rome because I would have planned differently, and it felt like a huge inconvenience for me. Needless to say, I'm not very happy with how the situation was handled in Rome.

I am very happy with the the way you handle everything from the first phone call to the returning of the 24 feet Truck i use this a few Time now I can say now that U - Haul Company is on the TOP of my list when it come to renting there they Trucks I know they also have a nice Storage Unit. I have not use it yet because they did not have one ready for me in such a FAST notice - i use other one day i will use U - haul Storage Unit in the Future I MUST say that the Customer service, Trucks, Van from U - Haul Moving & Storage on 430 Lomond Pl in Utica NY is one of the Best places to GO i Rate it +++A and will always rent from them again , PS.Thanks you so much for being there for me when i need you - in a short notice

I had an awful experience from the moment I walked in door only one guy working register. 2 people in front of me. While waiting in line I heard some guys in what appeared to be break room first I heard fuck once and said out loud to my boyfriend that's classy, thinking this may trigger the guy working register to tell them to tone it down... It was the third time the "f" word was dropped that my boyfriend took it upon himself to open the door and say listen their is ladies out here and rather than apologize the man at register said hey you can't be back there. When I left the location at 1040 after checking out at 1033 I noticed it was 40mins just to get the truck that I now had less than a day with, I got in the truck and notices the fuel gage was at least 1 full fuel needle with below 1/2 hadn't I just signed an agreement I would not return under 1/2. Irritated I took a picture which I have on my phone and called the local number when I got home no answer than it was just ringing and ringing. I left the lot concerned with the quality of the van it drove as though the transmission was going it seemed to be stuck in 2nd and unable to accelerate this was my first and after this experience last time driving a uhaul so I wasn't sure if this failure to accelerate and constant need to correct steering/alignment was normal. I loaded the truck and we drove to forestport and back. I was to return the truck this morning and was there and again waiting in line one man at register the customer asking a million questions about setting upcoming reservations and a couple in front of me who when they got to register had some concerns all of which I didn't hear but they were picking up and promised different things over phone with reservations than the deal they were offered there. By this point another man came in... In his hand his cell phone and a pack of USA gold red box cigarettes. He said can I help you. I said yes I'm returning he went out to check mileage etc When he came back I said I'm pretty unhappy with the gas that was in the truck when I got it and showed him the picture in my phone... I said I returned the truck on half as I signed an agreement I would but you also told me you would give me a truck with 1/2 full tank, He said quickly we don't refund for fuel you should have come back in yesterday we would have fixed the problem... I said come back in after waiting 40+\- mins to get a truck. No thanks I called the store and took a picture no one answered. Yeah he said when we can't get to phones it goes to call center. I said anyways you need to do something I just put $25 in that tank to make up my end of agreement the least you can do is help me with miles or waive a few. Mama I can't do that, I asked up talk to mgr and he said smugly I am I said oh ok perfect I had some concerns yesterday when I picked van several people sitting in that room dropping f bomb in front of me and another woman. He offered no apology and just said I'm not

Maybe more help in the store. The gentleman that was helping had about 8 to 10 people walk in at once and he did a good job ,but it seem a little unfair that he didn't have help. I commend him for keeping his cool under the stress and the one couple asking questions that there were obvious answers to.

Not too thrilled with the reservation. I had reserved a 10 ft. truck over week ago. As the website stated that it opened at 7 am I thought I could get the truck at that time. I received an email the day before stating that I could pick it up at noon. This would not suffice as I had to be back from Rochester by 5 pm for a manager's meeting. I called the office and after explaining my issue with someone he said that the truck would be there at 9 am, but if it was back before 9 he would call me. The next day I called and a woman said the truck was there and could be picked up. After I got there and waited 45 minutes in line, I was told that the truck was not there! After speaking with the counter person about my predicament he said that the woman was from the Call Center and didn't know anything. He then went into the back room and came out with a Manager who took over and corrected the problem. VERY unorganized between the Call Center, Reservations and poor customer service with the exception of the Manager who helped me. No one knows what the hell is going on. I don't trust this facility and would not recommend it to anyone.

Pick up and Drop off was very efficient. The only thing I would change is the fact that I had to have the truck back at a specific time. I would have liked to return it before the store closed on my schedule. I don't think you should rent out the truck to another person while I have the truck.

Satisfied with the truck rental except for the gas refill. When I picked up the vehicle the gauge registered full but it just barely touched the full mark. When I returned the vehicle I actually put more gas into it than I used. The gas I put in was figured into how many miles I went, the vehicle was only getting 6 miles per gallon. I feel I paid more for gas than I should have.

I was very upset that I had called 3 times prior to picking up the uhaul to inquire if any charges would be made to my card at the time of pickup, I was told no, no money was needed on the card at time of pickup. But when I got there to pick it up it wouldn't go through bc I didn't have the funds available in my account. What frustrated me even more is that my father, who lives in a different state, was paying for my uhaul for me but he couldn't use his card as the billing information until after a card was already used and the truck was dropped off! That was extremely inconvenient. Years ago when I moved my father called uhaul when I arrived to pick up the truck and he had a rep use his card over the phone. That was perfect. But now the "systems have changed" and the card has to be present upon pick up. You should really fix that issue as I'm sure I can't be the only one with an out of state relative willing to help me with moving expenses. Luckily, the manager chris coogan, did reverse the charge off my boyfriends card that had to be unexpectedly used at pick up, and then contacted my father for his payment information after we dropped the equipment off. I appreciate chris`s help with that. I just wish the other reps would give the correct information the first time and that uhaul would've been able to take my father's payment information from the start at the time of reservation. On a side note, id like to add ive previously rented a storage unit from uhaul years ago and loved the experience, but I see the prices have doubled since then so I had to go wisest elsewhere for a unit this time, unfortunately. Also, the attachment receipt uhaul emailed me won't open. Thank you.

Had a little trouble finding it but the person who helped me with dropping it off was fantastic. Very friendly, very accomadating.
