I was not giveing the correct car transporter I reserved and was told they only had the dolly and that I would need to go pick one up in concord . I had no choice but to take the car dolly tow and reunion my transmission and dented my two front fenders I was told I was going to get a call back from someone and no yet has call very bad place to get a rental

The straps on the car trailer were too short to go around the tires on the truck I was hauling. I hat to let half of the air out of the tires just to get the strap to reach. I was a little nervous that it it might not have enough wraps on the ratchet to hold the truck securely in place. Please consider making the straps six inches longer or so for safety's sake.

on 17 ft box truck please ask those renting this vehicle if they want small hand truck removed from vehicle. It takes up valuable space. Just my opinion. Dennis E retired 1SG US Army

Had a horrible experience with car trailer. Reserved the truck and trailer over a week prior to using it. Got a call and was told the location I reserved it at they no longer have it, go to woodland, woodland calls they don't have it go to Napa, Napa calls say they don't have it go to American Canyon. Show up to American Canyon after picking up truck in Vacaville, and the trailer they have is too small for my car. I call the traffic number to find a trailer and they say they have one.......at VACAVILLE where I just was. I understand stuff happens but it was just mind boggling unorganized and unprofessional service. The 50 dollar credit while is appreciated, barely compensates for the headache and stress caused. Would really like to speak with Mr. Benson about the kind of issues that are occurring within the business so that corrective actions can take place, and no one else has to deal with something like this again.

Emergency brakes are not fixed properly. Front bumper is hanging. Ran by young associates with little to no experience like it doesn't matter. No gas cap! Have issues with how much gas is in it? Seriously?

1) Renting Vehicles with Empty Gas Tanks The truck came with only 1/4 tank of gas, meaning I had to put gas in both when I picked up the truck and brought it back. I've rented trucks at this U-Haul location for over 20 years and never received a truck less than 3/4 full. This recent change in approach is a disaster for serving the customer. When I called the number on my receipt, I got the customer service department in Phoenix which was worthless. They evidently cannot remedy any situation or make any commitment. They just only told me that the last customer had not filled the tank. Worthless customer service line. Better to discontinue this service. And please start filling up your trucks again as I have better things to do on moving days. The shop was not busy and there was certainly adequate staffing to do so. 2) Training Problem When I picked up the truck, the (junior) staff did not include the second set of furniture pads. I had to return to U-Haul to pick up the second set of pads (about 10 miles RT). The staff apologized, but did not seem to understand at all when I asked them to comp me for the mileage to home and back ($8) to fix a problem that was clearly their fault. Later, when more senior staff came on, they simply gave me the second set of pads free. Please train your junior staff on good customer service.

My online u haul experience was far for great. my preferred location was Vacaville CA. The recommended location was in Fairfield CA, not able to change it. On line the trailer options given for Vacaville were not what I was looking for. I asked all the questions on line, including credit card and DL for quick pickup. Went to the recommended location and they did not have a single trailer on site, they don't rent trailers! While at this location, I got a phone call from the Vacaville location saying they had my trailer ready... Okay so I have already drove 20 miles out of my way, what's another 10?? I get to the Vacaville location and get asked ALL of the questions I answer online, I stated I answer all of these question online less than 2hours ago what happened to that info?? the rep said he didn't know, I ask is this the quick pick up I read about on line?? He had no answer... I was the only customer in the location when I arrive and it took 40 minutes to rent a trailer... I ask why the on line system sent me to Fairfield and why online it did not show this trailer and he said it is better to call the location and ask for equipment, he wouldn't use the online system.... hopefully this prepare you for the great moving experience you may have with u haul and there staff

The only disappointment was the truck not being ready for pick up when we arrived. I would assume when making a reservation the truck would be in drive off condition. We waited as they cleaned the truck which threw off our schedule a bit. Cashier was super friendly upon pick up and drop off.

-Right trailer brake light was out, lucky to not get a ticket. Had just been checked by employees. -Blankets ordered and paid for were not supplied--still not credited back. -24-Hr drop-off time was after hours; they charged a second day for nothing--still not credited back.
