This was not our original drop off point. We had to change because we were told the other was a 24 hour drop off point and the owner called and told me he was closing at 5. Additionally I received a call from him at 11am that we were late bringing the truck back even though we'd had it less than 24 hours. Most of these issues were corporate issues, not the local places. Due to this, I wouldn't recommend uhaul to anyone and am unlikely to use it again myself.

Insurance is perhaps the least understood; just accepted as necessary. You might add a Safemove and SavemovePlus link to your "Your U-Haul Order is confirmed" e-mail notice. I am aware it is linked on the MyUhaul.com page.

We did not have a problem with the location, although it was not the location I requested. Our difficulty was being able to talk to someone when we had a problem. When calling any of the phone numbers, we were routed directly to one central location. This prevented me from speaking to the same person more than once when we were disconnected and forcing me to explain the problem repeatedly. I also did not receive a call back from a supervisor when I had a payment problem, although I was told I would within a half hour. This caused much hassle and, in the end, a very frustrating rental situation. If I need to rent again, I will look for a local vendor or one that values my time.

The vehicle was clean overall and drove great. However, the person before me had been smoking in the vehicle and it smelled like smoke. Also the windshield was very dirty for some reason. Other than that I just thought the cost was a little on the high side for a 2 day pickup rental.

Everything after my initial reservation was a mess. The agent that made the reservation was great. We made sure all my info was updated in the system since I used uhaul before. My reservation was emailed to the correct address. That is where the good experience ended. I was told by agent that uhaul scheduling would call me in a day or 2 to select a pickup location. I had wanted to pickup at the actual uhaul store on Main. I did not get a phone call for 4 days. So I called. I was told they would call me the day before my pick up day. I was on a plane that day. That night when I still had no call, I called again. They told me they called and sent an email. Well they never left a message and they sent it to the wrong email address. Not the one I updated in the system. Then they told me I had to go to 2 different places to pick up the truck and the auto carrier. I find that ridiculous. They told me that was so I could load the truck. Then I asked when I needed to pick up truck and auto carrier. I was told truck at 9am and if I was not there within an hour it could be given away. Then I was told to pick up auto carrier at other location at 945. How was that suppose to give me time to load truck. No matter I could load truck with auto carrier on so it did not matter. Next morning I went to pick up truck and all the info they had in the system was wrong. Had me going to a different location. It took 25 minutes to get all that sorted out. The employee was very helpful. Then I drove to pick up auto carrier. The same thing happened. Everything in system was wrong. Only took them about 15 minutes to correct. They too were very helpful. I decided to pick prop off location after I got to destination so I could talk to the people. That worked great. The only other I issue I had was with the trucks gas gauge. It appeared to be full when I took it. But after actually filling the tank the real location of full was different.

Drivers side mirror was loose. Probably from scrapping along a tree branch in someone's drive. Attendants tightened it for the next renter; so they took immediate action when checked in. Fuel estimate to refill seemed high; I added 8 gallons using it. It appears that in driving about 40 miles, it seemed that I added 2 gallons more than required.

I scheduled a pick up at one location very close to my home online. I went to this location for the employee to tell me they carry no trucks at all only car dolly. I then called to find out I was suppose to receive a text changing my pick up location that I never got! The lady I spoke with was extremely rude and said sometimes texts don't go through and that my first location was only a desired location. Well that is fine but shouldn't the desired location still not let you reserve a truck if they do not even carry trucks? Let alone call or email as well if you are changing the pick up location for a customer and when something happens when a customer does not get a text do not be rude and make things harder for them considering they are now running all over town calling and going elsewhere to pick up the truck.

I called in because I was told that we would have weekday rates because they sent us to a different location then where I ordered the truck. That wasn't correct on the bill. Then we were dropping our last load and we weren't going to make our 5 pm drop off, the csr said to just follow the night instructions and we wouldn't be charged for the 2 extra hours. We were actually charged for an extra day. It took 3 phone calls and it still isn't resolved. I am waiting for a regional mgr to contact me within 48 hrs. So honestly I'm not that pleased.

Other than the black lady yelling at everybody it was a pleasant experience. The staff working were great!
