I initially had a reservation at 939 Rockland in Libertyville. This person did not have the truck I had reserved. They gave me a pick-up and a trailer and said I would receive a $50 discount because of the inconvenience from the Greyslake Office. Since I needed to move items before the truck was available in the Greyslake office, I took the pick-up. When I called the Greyslake office an hour before pick-up, they said they didn't have anything, and referred me to the Waukegan dealer. By the time I got to the Waukegan dealer, I had lost over 6 hours of daylight packing time. He told me that he was not the office to give me the $50 discount because he had the truck . That makes sense to me, but all of the other offices were pointing to him. So who is going to give me my discount? Please respond and contact the correct people. I think, personally, that the Libertyville office should give me the $50 because they booked things too tightly and just replied "things happen." I had a huge move scheduled and this glitch was very inconvenient. I had made these reservations and confirmed weeks in advance. Please reply.

requested a 14 ft - called a couple days before move and was told they only had 10 ft but would give me an extra hour and week day mileage rates when I returned truck I was told that was not noted on computer and was charged week-end rate

We ordered a 14ft truck a week in an advance and when we picked it up we got the 10ft truck. very disappointing. will not use this location again. Got bounced around to different people and never could get a direct answer to why we got a smaller truck. We even had a confirmation number too.. very disappointing....

customer service. The first day I rented one trailer later on call to rent another one of different size but when i went and check on the web I've notice that the first one was cancelled then I call again a different person answer the phone and explain what was going on and she made the correction. It is a long disappointing story what happen later on. I rather explain by phone call.

This is not a comment about the pickup location but U-Haul in general. I went to your Libertyville IL location to reserve a truck for 8/30 at 8AM. I was informed that location was closed on that day due to the upcoming holiday. I was told they could make a reservation for me at the Mundelein IL location for the date and time requested, I accepted and was given a confirmation number. Two day before my scheduled move I received a text message saying that my pickup location was now Waukegan IL at 5:30 PM. I called the 800 number and was told my reservation had been move there because Mundelein never had a truck and the reservation should have never been made. I explained that 5:30 was too late in the day. The best that she could do was 10:30AM on 8/29. Because of this I and my girlfriend had to take the day off work. In addition I lost the help I had to move because they had to work. Without their help it turned into a 16 hour day of moving. How do you change a reservation without even calling the customer to see if it fits their schedule? A text message, where’s the customer service?

Could not get the equipment I was looking for until 4 pm, an hour away from my house. So I had to rent a second trailer. My trailer and truck were due after you closed, and I was on the way to return them the morning of when I was contacted half an hour before your phone service advertised store hours beginning. I was told that I would be charged an extra day for not being half an hour early.
