First there were trucks backed out to the road - then there is a sign that says stay with you vehicle and after 5 mins I went inside and 3 employees are just standing around and asked me if I was dropping off. Then they never checked the vehicle in and told me to have a good day.

Because there were vehicles lined up in the highway to be returned and there were only 2 agents available, the agents just pushed us out. We were surprised when we received a $11.50 gas charge when we were very careful to reach the mark we were assigned. We did not use 3 gallons of gas to cross the road from the BP and deliver the truck to U-Haul. Granted the agents were busy, but they should have verified the gas limit was ok before releasing us. Now we have to spend the time and go through the hassle of being credited. Maybe the amount does not seem like much, but the company could easily charge everyone for 3 gallons of extra gas and make quite a nice extra sum.

I had reserved a truck and dolly for car transportation a week prior, at pick up there were no dollies and only a more expensive trailer. Check out took an hour because of one trailer being 'local use only' and the other broken and in need of repair. Staff was great, however, in fixing the problem immediately and getting me on the way.

I normally don't leave negative feedback, but i felt strongly about this experience that someone needed to know. Get some help! You had one person who was working his butt off. He was doing the counter and the yard work. Stood in line for over 40 min and I had a RESERVATION, I finally just left after 40 min and still 7 people in line.. Went back the next day only (because I had to have the truck) and I was told to average my gas to 10 miles a gal. So I put more gas in it than what was required of me. The next day I get my bill on email and you charged me $30 more for gas and service fee. Not only to mention I brought the truck back after hours and couldn't even get in your parking lot from the road... we called the number on our invoice and ask them what to do with the truck.. it was obvious they were not from the area because they had no idea where I should take it to.. the whole ordeal was a nightmare, what a joke.

The truck would dive to the right when you hit the brakes. The drivers window must leak because the door panel was filled with some liquid.

Store is a little cluttered. When you walk into door you don't see the desk because of all the boxes stacked up for sale. But, in the space adjacent to room the floor and area is clear except for a break room table. Move the boxes over there. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

The truck I had ran horrible. I put gas in it 3 times. I went only 45 miles. I paid for an appliance dolly and got a furniture dolly. Moved 2dryers a washer a deep freezer and 5 dressers. Not a good experience.

The location was severely understaffed! I had to wait 30 minutes because there was only one worker helping the queue, even though I had a reservation. Having are two unused desk locations and only one worker during the peak student move-in season is ridiculous!

I reserved a truck online 1 week in advance for a 20 foot truck from West Lafayette IN. Two days before the move I was contacted by the Reynolds IN location asking if I could move my reservation ahead 1 day and use a 26 foot truck instead. With a confirmed reservation I shouldn't be sent to an office 30 miles away, the pickup date moved ahead 1 day earlier, and the size of the truck increased to 26 foot! They were uninterested in my concerns that a 26 foot truck would get worse gas mileage over the 440 miles I would be traveling! After much time on the phone with reservations it was changed back to the correction location and date, but I would have to use a 26 foot truck. Upon arrival at the pick up location I was informed that I would have to use a 14 foot truck because they miscommunicated the return time of the truck with the previous renter. After completing the transaction I noticed that they used the higher rate of the 20 foot truck even though they rented me a 14 foot. The only way to get the cheaper rate was to leave the existing hold on the card and bill me for another rental!

Move to a better location. Very crowded area hard to get in and out of the place. Can only go one direction when leaving then have to make a U turn through a parking lot if you want to go the other direction.

I order a 14' Uhaul truck early in the week of 8/10/14 and was called after by someone at the West Lafayette Uhaul location stating that I could pick up the truck at 7am on Saturday 8/16/14. We planned our move accordingly since we only had one day to move. On Friday 8/15/14 we received a phone from a different Uhaul representative from a different location in Lafayette, IN. This person said that we could not pick up our truck until 11 am because the previous renters extended their time. I expressed that this was extremely inconvenient and that we planned on beginning our move at 7 am. The representative informed us that there were no other trucks and that we would just have to wait. She also explained that if the other customer was late and brought the truck in after 11 am that they would have to pay for our truck or our truck would be cover per her area manager. We arrived at the specified location at 11am and the truck was not there - we waited there for an hour and a half and did not receive the truck until 12:30 pm. Once we received the truck we were told it would have to be returned with a quarter of a tank of gas or we would have to pay extra. Also, we were told we had 155 miles to use without an overage fee. On Sunday 8/17/14 morning I received an invoice stating we were over our 125 mile limit (which was supposed to be 155 miles) and we were charged for the difference. We were also charged a fuel charge because we brought the truck back with a little over a quarter of a tank when supposedly it needed to be where it was when we picked it up (half tank). In the end we were charged full price and overages for everything after receiving multiple unorganized phone calls and not receiving the truck on time. I also called customer service where I was not helped at all and directed to fill out this survey. This entire process has been a disaster and I would really appreciate if someone could get back to my in order to rectify the situation.

The location is too crowded for pickup and drop off during busy times of the year. Perhaps the drop off spot could be relocated more to the rear of the lot. Overall the staff are excellent.
