Overall it was the worst rental experience I've ever experienced in my life I will never use U Haul again based on this particular location. It was a scam from the beginning to the end and I will use Penske from now on or budget.

This in not the original place where I suppose to pick up my rental truck. I reserved a truck at The Sofa Source in West Jordan and I was told to pick it up there at 3 PM. When I arrived at the location it was closed and no trucks were at this location. I called a UHaul number and then I was told that I needed to pick up my rental at the West Valley Location. If a truck is not available at a certain location during the time of reservation they should not advertise for that location. I was NOT pleased with the The Sofa Source location, VERY POOR SERVICE and Lack of communication.

The people are a great help, and enjoy each experience I have with this location. The actual physical "location" is totally unsatisfactory. It is difficult to access, no parking (none) and is difficult to exit at a corner and on to busy traffic. Please find this team a location where they can show how really good they are. Blair Baker

For the milage. I ran the trip counter on the truck. The milage that it had vs the over all milage I was charged was off. I brought it to the employe as I was checking in. He said he had to go with the odomitor, which I understood but one of the two was off. Hopefully, someone else won't have the same issue.

They were great & friendly. On the road the truck couldn't make it up a hill and died. Service was TERRIBLE!!! John didn't know what to do. Wanted to blame me for overloading. Wanted to send a tech to "evaluate". Left us on the side of the freeway for over an hr. I am a diabetic and missed eating. Could have been in big trouble. In the end I figured out what to do. Dah! Take the car (weight} off the trailer then the truck was able to get up over the top of the hill. If you need help/ service DON'T call John. YOU need to fire him!

Initially Doug called me and left me a voicemail that he was cancelling my order because i didnt pick it up right at 8am. I had tried to answer my phone and it went to voicemail. He didnt leave a number to call back or anything. I was pretty pissed. He should have gave me a direct number and gave me a minute to call back before he just cancelled my order. Luckily i was able to get another order. Once inside there was a Chad i think that was awesome and very helpful. He was great. Its pretty lucky i was able to reorder..otherwise i would be very pissed off at Doug for doing such a stupid thing as canceling without talking to me for being an hour late. Jerk!

This is more a general recommendation for Uhaul as a whole. One of my biggest pet peeves with uhaul, and something that has started me looking into other truck rentals, is that the tank is not full when you pick up the truck. When you pick up the truck they ask for you to refill it so that the needle is where it started, which could be just over half a tank or so. It is nearly impossible to land right on that which means you are either over or under. If over, I don't get reimbursed but if under I get charged $4 per gallon, a dollar more than if I fill it myself. This seems ridiculous since uhaul doesn't go fill up the tank anyway, they just give it to the next customer. I think there is an easy solution to this. If the tank were always full then you would just fill it all the way up before bringing it back. Then, if a customer fails to fill it up themselves, it seems relevant to charge them since uhaul would go fill the tank up before the next customer came in. I believe the tank should always start out full and it would resolve the whole issue. Unless uhaul is making money on charging people for gas, then the current system is working well on their behalf.

When I went to pick up the equipment there was only 1 cashier at the register. I could hear other employees in the back swearing and having a good time. I originally thought to myself that they weren't cashiers so that didn't bother me. However, after about 10 min of them laughing and joking about just random stuff, they came out and rang someone up who had been in the back with them. Ok so obviously they could work the registers. After they rang him up, the cashier walked away not acknowleding the line that was growing. Just really annoying because this pick up took so much longer than it should have.
