I personally went to the main store on Kell Frwy. in Wichita Falls, TX to make the rental reservation. The morning of pickup I called to advise I would be later than planned. Surprisingly, I was told they had no truck for me there. I was given the impression they were never going to have a truck for me at that location, and they knew this all along. After being placed on hold for some time , I was told they had a truck for me at another location. The alternate location was changed twice during the phone conversation. No mention of an alternate location was ever made to me prior, either in the main store (making reservation) or when they called a few days later to confirm my reservation. If I had not called to check that morning I would have shown up at the main store and had no truck and then started the run around.
When I went to the alternate location there was no paperwork. The attendant had to put me on the phone and do it then, over the phone with someone (I assume at the main store). In hindsight I would have preferred getting this done when I made the reservation.
I still do not have a receipt detailing charges. At drop off I received something that shows only a balance of zero owed.
Very sloppy operation/organization.
As soon as the truck was started a dashboard display registered, "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED". Not very comforting when you are about to load furniture and drive 200 miles.
I had no directions to find the drop off locale. I do not have a GPS. If I had not gotten lucky and found a person in the little town of Royse City who knew where it was, I might still be trying to find it.
Train store workers better. They seemed confused.
