I made an online reservation for a van at Burlington but told I had to go to Winchester. I had to wait 45 minutes to pick up a van for which I had a reservation. Long line of people; 1 staff member to serve them all. (I felt sorry for the guy who did his best to serve people as quickly as possible.) Apparently this is the norm and not due to someone being out sick. I will try other vendors before I do this again. Shame on the management.

First, you need to staff this location with more than just one employee. The man working had to both take care of those customers who needed propane tanks filled as well as those who needed to pick up, drop off, or find out about availability of the rental vehicles. He kept his cool and did a wonderful job, but customers had to wait too long. I am unclear why the pickup truck available for rental at the site is advertised with "Rent me for 19.95 plus charges," but without the mileage fee which makes it unlikely that anyone will be renting it for anything near the advertised rate. I only drove it 14 miles and came out paying close to double the $19.95. I don't think I am alone when I say I look for honesty in advertising and that I value it. Please consider being more straightforward in the messaging about your prices. Thank you.

First of all, we were scheduled for an 11:45 equipment pick-up time as we had to be moved out of our apartment by the end of that day. After having to go back to the location twice because the equipment wasn't there, we finally got our truck at 4:45 (5 hours later). Needless to say, we were unable to complete our move out, so we had to pay an extra day at our apartment to accomodate the delay. Second, the three times we went, there is only one person working the front desk, having to do rentals, check-ins and propane, so the wait time was always very long and when people are trying to move, this is a large inconvenience. On the positive, the woman working the desk, Vilma, although being run around like crazy, was still very nice and did attempt to make a very negative situation more positive. Her concern for our dilemma seemed very sincere. As for the truck itself, we were told it was being cleaned while we did rental paperwork, but as we started loading it, our boxes got dirtier and dirtier from the residue of dust/soot that had been from the previous renter. In our haste from being so delayed, we didn't even realize until we had too much in to start over.

The service was excellent but I did feel bad for the site manager. He was alone and worked really hard to keep things moving and service everyone promptly. He needs a helper.

Fire the manager. His behavior is egregious. No ondwr he can't get employees. I won't go back to UHaul if this is the type of person you hire to develop trust with your customers. Penske is right down the street.

I showed up to pick up a truck which I reserved for 24 hours only to find out the truck was not available. I was told the order was canceled because I did not show up on time. I would expect the courtesy of a simple phone call to see if I am planning on coming to pick up the truck. When you have a move planned with movers waiting for you, you can't just cancel an order because a customer is late to pick up a truck. Again, a simple phone call is a courtesy you owe your customers. Horrible service and horrible experience.

The staff at the store were helpful. But could not do anything to help me. The store was fine. But I had an awful time and Uhaul wasted me entire weekend and made for a very painful experience. Getting a manger on the phone is nearly impossible. This is a time sensitive industry and it is clear UHAUL is not staffed properly to proved service or respond to it's customers.

I called up to reserve furniture dollies and told they only had 4. When I got to the store I saw they had 6 dollies in the store. They could only rent me 4 of the 6 because 2 of them were not in the system. The worker called her boss on the phone and spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get the other 2 in the system. They could not figure it out so I was only able to rent 4. When I was returning the dollies I waited 45 minutes due to only one worker in the store full of customers. I will never go back to the Wilmington M.A. Location again.

Tom is always so happy and cheerful. He goes above and beyond for his customers! Such a great employee to have- he is the reason we pass two other UHauls to pick up from him. It makes a world of difference to work with someone who cares and is happy about working with you. Job well done!

i own a company and when i need a van or box truck i can always rely on Uhaul of North Reading mass that is so important for my company and me. They are the best. Great people to talk to and they always take care of you like you are family. I rent a van or truck now every weekend because i feel safe with them i know things will happen they way they should. I can only say thank you Uhaul of North Reading Mass.

Reserved a truck weeks in advance and it wasn't available. I received a smaller truck and had to make an additional trip. The key to a reservation is "holding the reservation"...as Jerry Seinfeld would say.

I had ordered one 15' trailer, upon arrival I was given a set of keys to a trailer that had an almost blown out tire. When I went back in to grab another trailer, it had a flat tire. Naturally, Saturday's are pretty busy so I was tied up for an hour + waiting for people in line to be servered and then receive a replacement vehicle. When I dropped off the vehicle there was only one person working, and they had a line out the door. The one person was moving vehicles around in the yard because people dropped them everywhere causing traffic jams, which after 35 minutes of waiting I just left the keys in the trailer and left. This was not a very pleasing experience

Called to book, easy. Rescheduled online, easy. Got a text to confirm date 48 hours in advance so called back, easy. Morning of rent date called to let know i am running late and was told no problem. Show up and truck ready is smaller than ordered. It was assumed I would just take it. I had to ask and the truck I booked was out for repair. Online still showed the truck I ordered and never did anyone tell me ever that the order had changed. Seeing as how I was in contact with uhaul a few times before I picked up it could have been mentioned. Luckily it still worked out but really felt like a bait and switch. More than one person working would be nice to ensure a more timely experience.
