Because when you return the truck there is no subway and bus station close to this location. Either you need to take a taxi or walk 30 minutes to Northern Blvd R and M Training.

Ensure that the vehicle mounted on the AT unit is actually secure so it does not receive damage. Do NOT offer a set of directions that would put the customer or driver out of his or her way by wasting mileage and fuel.

The van's tire pressure sensor system was broken and someone had filled the tires to the wrong pressure (70 psi on all four corners instead of 50 front, 80 back). Additionally, at the check out after I returned the truck, it took the employee 30 minutes to help a single customer, during which time several other employees shuffled papers at computer terminals and made no effort alleviate the growing line.

After reserving a trailer for a one-way trip a couple of days beforehand, we were contacted on the day we would be needing the trailer to confirm that the equipment we requested was available and that we could pick it up around noon. We then contacted U-Haul a bit past noon to inform them that we would be a few hours later to pick up the equipment and asked if this would be an issue. They said not to worry, our equipment would be ready when we stopped by a few hours later. Upon arriving at the U-Haul facility and attempting to pick up our trailer we were informed that there were no trailers of the size we requested available and instead would need to take a much larger trailer. This was a bit of an annoyance because not once were we told that there would be an issue with receiving the size trailer that we requested. Once we left to drive out to the area where the trailers are kept we saw that there were two of the size we requested sitting there and not being used. We went back inside to ask why we were not able to take either of the unused trailers of the size that we requested and were informed that one was broken due to a wiring issue and that the other was only for in town use. Upon asking why U-haul couldn't let us take the working one and then fix the broken one for in town use we were rudely told that it was against U-Haul policy. After arguing this point for about an hour and a half we were offered a 50 dollar discount to take the bigger trailer and still had no idea why the hell we couldn't take the working trailer of the size that we requested. After getting the too large trailer finally hooked up, the staff member checked that the lights were functioning properly and we were on our way. We successfully managed to navigate to the narrow street with the behemoth of a trailer and once we had blocked all traffic we had the pleasure of opening the back of the trailer. The entire floor was covered in shit and hay as if someone had been transporting livestock in a U-Haul trailer and the company had not even bothered to hose out the thing. Our experience with U-Haul on the Queens Expressway has ensured that we will never even consider using U-Haul again for our moving needs, congratulations!

Provide better customer service and not be rude to the customer. I was told one thing on the phone by this location, and when I came in the next day, I was told something entirely different and was charged more than I had been initially told. Horrible service. Never coming here again.

That truck was frightening. FRIGHTENING. I've driven U-hauls before, but this was easily the scariest truck I've ever driven. It didn't track straight on the highway, the steering was so loose that I could get an eight of a turn of the steering wheel before feeling any tension on the wheel and then the vehicle turning. The front wheels would do their own thing after hitting a pothole and I would have to wrestle the vehicle back to a straight line after doing so. On the BQE, that is not any fun. The location was great. Nice, clean, easy, good people working the desk and truck pickup and drop off, but that truck....holy moly. Thanks, Gabe 607 341 3443

My recent uhaul experience was very frustrating and stressful. Initially I wanted to reserve a uhaul for a morning pickup, but the earliest a vehicle would be ready was 2:45, so I went ahead and reserved it anyway. When we came to pick it up, we were told that there was no truck for us. Supposedly the truck had still not been returned by people using it prior. Well guess what? That's not acceptable. Why are there not more trucks available? Moving is stressful enough, and we already were getting a late start due to uhaul in inavailability. But now to show up and not have our RESERVED vehicle??? Wow. We ended up waiting till 4:30 to get out truck. Then, we were told we wouldn't be refunded the advertised $50 b/c the uhaul did eventually show... Okay, I don't care about money - but it would have been a nice way for them to apologize and make some effort to correct the major inconvenience they had caused. And for the record, if a truck is not there for the time its reserved, that means it's NOT there! Which means we should have been refined that money promised. Not happy.

I asked for a one way rental and could not be accommodated. When I returned the vehicles they asked me why I didn't request a one way rental. It appears that I was overcharged because I couldn't get the one way rental as originally desired.

The contract stated I was given 5 extra miles but when I turned in the truck was not given those five extra miles. Also the gentlemen at the pick up location changed the gas gage and initialed the change but the drop off location was not trying to accept that. However, after I told him I did not do that change and that if your policy is for the changes and updates to be inputted into computer the customer can not be held accountable for that.
