We had ordered 24 moving pads but only received 6, we were reimbursed for the difference with no problems. We called roadside assistance because the oil light came on in the cab of the truck, they were very helpful in informing us that it most likely was just in need of an oil change. All in all we had a very uneventful trip from MA to FL. I would definitely reccomend U-Haul.

The Worcester location was fine; however, I had reserved a trailer (6 weeks ahead) at Albany, NY. Two days before my pickup I received a voicemail that there were no trailers anywhere near Albany. I had to travel to Worcester, over 100 miles away, to bring one back to Albany!

Location was 45 min away from the location I had reserved. It was way out in nowhere, it cost me $50 to pay someone to drive me there and I lost revenue for the 1 1/2 hours I took round trip to get back. Truck was wrong size and phone rep lied to me about the location. Told sturbridge and ended up at Worchester, not remotely close. Also charged me for the extra miles that Uhaul added to my trip.

I had issues with the vehicle while driving and called customer service hotline. They were unable to answer any questions and only recommended to send a tech. The rep at the Worcester location noticed i had an issue and was able to explain the situation easily where the cust rep was not.

I have had some really horrible uhaul experiences in the past having moved twice in boston. I was very hesitant to trust you guys again but the location was perfect and the prices were good. I am relieved beyond belief that this moving experience went off without a hitch and no outrageous extra charges were on my card for once. The customer complaint line SUCKS by the way. But the clerks were nice, a bit robotic but efficient. My only complaint is I dropped off after hours and was scared to death that I wasnt parking in the right place and figured an extra charge would pop up for that. Please put and after hour dropoff parking sign!!!

location was too far from Acton MA . i booked this months in advance, there are 2 Uhaul stores , one in Acton ! and one in Maynard . How is it We had to go to WORCESTER???

So much anger but will try to be civil...I think the staff needs to be better trained with regards to the ubox product. I only found out the cost of shipping after I put everything in storage - was quoted $900 to have Uhaul ship the container for 45 miles via their trucks!! Okay, no problem. Instead, I decided to move the ubox with a rented trailer as it was more cost effective. Fast forward two months - I've already confirmed with their office that I was renting a truck but was told that the trailer was not fit for highway travel (this was the day before my move). At no point did this factor in our conversation when I was booking the rental... The office thought that I was going to unload all the contents of my ubox into the rented truck at the Worcester location. As a result, I chose the more cost effective way. I was very angry with this situation because I had to either shell out $200 bucks for help with the loading or endure making a round trip between Worcester and Boston on local roads during rush hour (added 90 minutes given the route). When I finally got back to their office, I asked the manager if I could get a credit to my card for the invoice as it was over the amount he quoted me the day prior to the move. He said that I should have sorted it out in the morning when I picked up my truck. How convenient. All in all, moving sucks enough as it is, but this uhaul office really brought it to another level with their lack of product knowledge, disorganization, and lack of customer service. I'm so glad I left Worcester so I won't have to ever deal with this office ever again.

Russ was extraordinarily helpful. However, he was the only U-Haul employee that was friendly and helpful throughout my interactions with several employees across rental sites and hotlines during the first and last time I rented a U-Haul. Aside from that, the experience was terrible. The company uses a deceptive policy of telling customers that their reservations are "confirmed" without stating that reservations are merely preferences. I spoke with three customer service agents in booking and confirming my reservation and all three told me explicitly that I could pick up a 14 foot truck in Natick. When I arrived at that location, they told me that a 10 foot truck was available 45 minutes away in Worcester. After explaining that this differed significantly from the reservation and that a 10 foot truck was not sufficient, the U-Haul employees on site and over the phone were aggressively rude and provided no solutions other than shrugging their shoulders. Their inability or unwillingness to help a dissatisfied customer seems to be characteristic of an outdated and apathetic company.

I rarely respond to these service reviews for the simple reason that I rarely have anything good to say. However, the people at this site were pleasant, courteous and competent. And all this on the busiest moving day of the year. Everything happened just as scheduled, and the truck was just right. Hat's off, and thank you.

I reserved with my credit card and a hold was put on my account. When I returned I payed with another card but the hold was not released from my card and I incurred an overdraft charge of which I was told by your rep I would not be compensated for. That it would take 3-5 business days before the hold would be released. This is not right. You take the money almost instantly why can a "HOLD" be given as fast. Very bad business. I doubt I will use UHaul again...
