Stress the typical mileage for the truck, so that when "filling up" with gas, a reasonable quantity of gas is put in...I paid twice what I should have because when I filled it up, it took 5-1/2 extra gallons of gas than my 40-mile trip would have used @ 8mpg! That cost me about $18.70 to compensate for a previous person's idea of a "full tank."

Not only did I have to wait , but the attendant wasn't even in the store for 15 minutes! I have to rent a car carrier for 2 days when I only needed 8 hours? not only is this unacceptable but borders on criminal! given the choice I will be dealing with another rental supply.

One employee on the premise at the time the motorcycle trailer was dropped off at approximately 2:15PM. Five people waiting to be helped with renting or dropping off.....not good.

The truck I rented leaked and the outside mirrors would not stay in place. The passenger mirror was missing a nut so it was worthless. Driving a 26ft truck with only one mirror working sometimes was very dangerous.

I requested furniture pads, as my mom was downsizing to a much smaller home, and I was moving leather furniture from her house to my own. Not only did I not receive the furniture pads, but I was charged for not returning what I didn't receive in the first place! That's $30 that U-Haul erroneously charged. When I called the store to dispute the charge, the call was answered by a call center employee in a different location, and from there I was passed on to customer service. Customer service said they couldn't do anything - that I would need to fill out this survey and a "U-Haul manager", again from a different location than the store I did business with, would contact me within three days. What!? That's a bunch of tail chasing if you ask me! U-Haul is always quick to take my money, but when it comes to refunding a bogus charge...well, we'll see if I ever see my $30. After my frustrating calls today, I have to say I'm skeptical. Note: the location I rented from is a very busy store, but still - busyness is no excuse for overlooking giving me the furniture pads I ordered and then charging me for them.

Well you changed my pick up and drop off location and I was never notified. I arrived at Plainfield and was told I needed to go to the Burlingame location. I was not happy with that at all. The Plainfield location was way out of my way and Burlingame was ridiculous. I had no choice, but to drive out there. While waiting in line ( a rather long line). Some woman goes up to the counter - cuts in front of everyone and the clerk proceeds to take care of her. I spouted out - why dosnt she have to wait in line like the rest of us. The woman completely ignored me - the clerk did politely respond though. I have used U-haul many many times in the past and have never had a problem. I made my reservations 2 weeks in advance and still had issues at the end. I will rethink useing Uhaul in the future. Penske may get my business.

For how small the trailer was (4 X 8) I was surprised at how heavy it felt pulling and how much it bounced around when empty. This was an in city move no high speeds.

When reserving the vehicle I made a point 4 times to the U-haul representitive the vehicle must be 4 wheel drive. ( own a 2 wheel drive truck but needed to rent a 4 wheel drive for pulling a trailer out of my back yard ( up a hill) only needed the truck for that. Each time the rep assured me the truck would be 4 wheel drive.When my wife picked up the truck it was not 4 wheel drive. This wasted 1 and a half hours of the rent of the trailer. ( costing me $63 of time). Besides costing me $63, I resent being lied to just to get me to rent from U-haul just cost u_haul me as a customer.

Make your pricing policy more transparent. My $19.95 a day rental ended up costing over $200 for the 2 days after all the fine print costs were added. As the counter person suggested, a lot of misdirection with the pricing.
