Did not get over charged this time. Was told to post a review about the over charge from two weekends ago when I rented for the 1st half of our move, as thawt was the only way anyone would get back with me concerning getting a refund on the over charge. No good customer service on complaints or over charges when no one is available to talk to a customer about a complaint and you have to do it like this....unreal and very unprofessional if you ask me!

I ordered on line, got a confirm call and at No time or anywhere on line, did it state that if you drop at a different location in town the price would be way higher. Had I known that we would have dropped off where we picked up seeming how the distance was only a few miles differance from the grand rapids 28th street to the wyoming, burlingame and 28th st location. when I rented again two weeks later the price was wayyyyy lower, but no one would talk to me about wither a refund or a discount for the second rental, even though we went from the same house in wyoming to the same house in lowell for the move both weekends.

I am very disappointed! I was shown a truck that was for sale. I was told the other trucks for sale were in just as good a condition but they were not available for me to look at, they were in a different town. After a week of negotiating, I agreed to buy two trucks based upon this understanding. I arranged to pay for the trucks prior to seeing the actual trucks I was purchasing. I was told this was necessary as they could not bring the truck to their location for me to see until we agreed to buy them. We set a day and time for me to go sign and pay for these trucks. I went to do this and also brought my business manager to take care of the paperwork once the documents were signed. Only then did I learn that I would have to pay for the vehicles but would not be given the titles for several days. And only then I learned that I was also charged a transaction fee on top of our agreed upon sale price. I also brought 3 people from my company to shuttle the trucks back to the office. I had also contracted and scheduled decaling. I had a lot invested in this purchase, both in time and in man power. I trusted U-haul to be honest in dealings and consistent in care of their vehicles. Once I arrived to sign the final purchase documents, I was shown the trucks and they were nowhere near as clean as the one I had been shown the week prior. I was the victim of a “bait and switch” game. Due to my significant investment in both time and money I felt I had to close this purchase. I eventually did agree to finish the sale however I have to say again, I am very disappointed! Both trucks have gouges on the sides of the boxes. One truck has a cut in the seat. One truck has a dented door and a dented fender. Both of these trucks were fully inspected by U-haul and I was given the inspection reports. None of this damage was noted on U-haul’s inspection reports. They were not honest in their dealings. My conclusion, never negotiate a price on one of these vehicles or buy one of these vehicles until you have seen it in person and driven it and had it inspected by a professional. Never trust U-haul’s inspection reports. Never trust the staff. And, know in advance that they will add unforeseen charges to the total price, so your cost will not be what you suspect. Had U-haul treated me fairly, I could have purchased many of their trucks in future years. Instead they ensured that this transaction would be our last. You can sheer a sheep many times but you can only skin a sheep once!

Long lines, wait even with a reservation. Not enough employees for a busy day. Manager left early when requested on 2nd trip. Other employees left were very helpful. Need a better system to take care of customers.

The knob for the headlights on the dash was broken so to turn them on we had to use pliers to pull it out. Also staff was very friendly but super busy so there was a very long wait time.

The first truck they gave me was junk. Transmission was slipping. The guy tried to tell me all trucks were like that because of size. I know better. I felt that because I was a female they thought they could fool me. I was raised around vehicles and was completely insulted. I have went to that store for awhile. I will not be back there. They did give me a different truck but charged me for the miles to get down the road and back. And the second truck they gave me had a bunch of clinking under the hood when you hit a tiny bump. Almost as if the front end was about to fall apart. This was the most unprofessional and irratating service I have ever had from uhaul. I am very unhappy and not satisfied with the service one bit. And I had the uhaul two days. You would think people would want more service. And since I have to rent another truck to move more stuff I'll take my business elsewhere
