I purchased a 17 " truck this past Friday and my experience was horrible. The truck was not well maintained at all. It needed extreme mechanic work done. It was very hard to shift gears and barely went over 35 mph. I was very disappointed.

I ordered 6 furniture pads but they didn't put it in the truck. I called them I didn't get the pads and service desk person told me she will remove the cost of renting the pads. Today when I received the receipt, they charged me the cost!!! Spend time to call service to fix the rate but never applied on the final receipt. I understand they might forget the pads, but very poor service even if I called to correct it is not good!

The Belleville company did not have a truck because of engine problems. He found a truck in Ann Arbor & off we went. The truck in Ann Arbor was broken & we were able to get a 17 ft truck instead of a 24 ft truck. The Ann Arbor man asked if we got the $50 dollars from the Belleville dealer....the answer was no. So the Ann Arbor dealer gave us a $20 reduction in truck rate. We got the truck but it was full of debris. At this time we cleaned up the truck & used it. The Belleville man was not honorable & did not abide by company rules while the Ann Arbor man tried to compensate. The Ann Arbor man was trying to uphold the reputation of the company...........

The gas was barely 1/5 when I picked up the car and it said that is 1/4. When I returned the truck back, I filled the tank more than it was. However, the staff still asked me to fill it to 1/4 although I explained what was going on. And I was NEVER told to go back if there is anything wrong when I picked up the truck and I thought that was how it works. As a result, I have to fill more than 6 gallons of gas for less than 15 miles of driving. Otherwise, I would be charged by 48 which was even more ridiculous. Ten bucks of gas was not much, but It made the customer feel like robbed!

After 9 hours on the phone between the uhaul and my bank, I finally got two charges off my credit card one of them being illegally processed... And being verbally assaulted by the store "manager"... I won't ever use uhaul again... Ever. Save up a little extra money and go with a different company... Customer service through uhaul isn't even "customer service" everything is run independently, aka the store can run a below acceptable service... And as far as professionalism Robert is thee most unprofessional "manager" I've ever had the honor of meeting. From a backwards baseball cap, to droopy dangling hoop earrings to a scruffy non shaved face. In other words, WASHTENAW UHAUL IS A CROOKED OPERATION.

My experience with UHAUL was absolutely horrendous. The two individuals who worked at the location in Ypsilanti (that I interacted with) were incredibly nice and did a good job: every other interaction that I had with UHAUL (the customer service number especially, but also the general number and the Ann Arbor location) were awful, and I will never again rent any vehicle or do any business with UHAUL.

Needs more staff. Long wait times. Also if things were explained better e. g safe move is per day, or it dosent cover clearance issues. Was charged wrong rate for rental and had to catch it myself after everything was completed. A price breakdown would've allieviated the problem and put me at ease, instead of sitting at home with a calculator trying to figure out all the charges myself.

I stood in line way too long! There should have been more employees there to help. There were so many people moving during the holiday weekend. There was one person at the cash register and one person pulling trucks around. The people in front of me were at the register for so long that the line grew all the way to the back of the store. The lady who booked my reservation said that the 10" truck was for a one bedroom apartment.they should just tell people that it's for a studio because you never know how much stuff someone actually has in their one bedroom apartment. Also, when I dropped my truck off, the guy at the Joy rd location told me they had the wrong truck in the system. They didnt even know what truck they had on the road. Lastly, the woman never offered me extra miles, so i never knew that was an option. Therefore, i owed money for going over my miles. The whole experience was terrible!

There was only 1 person in the store to work the counter and the line upon opening was 6 people deep. It would be prudent to have more than 1 person working the counter on the busy weekend.

Man I spoke with in the office was extremely rude! Our uhaul was over an hour late being returned which we had to pay movers an extra hour for not doing anything. I understand these things happen but we called for that purpose at 10:30 am to make sure it was there. Extremely rude staff.
