When I arrived at U-Haul on S. College in Fort Collins, my truck, which I booked on-line, was not available. This was a potential HUGE deal, because I had a one-way 1200 mile move that was on a very tight schedule. Forrest went above and beyond providing me EXCELLENT customer service. He deserves huge commendation, as this happened on an extremely busy day at the location. He got me a smaller truck with the largest trailer to match the size of the truck I had reserved. And he gave me a great discount that made the extra hassle worth it for me. Forrest is top notch!!!

Place was understaffed when I arrived, leading to an hour wait before I could pick up the truck. Clerk said three (!) people didn't bother to show up to work. The two that were there were friendly, helpful, and greatly improved upon the horror stories in other reviews. So maybe it was good they were the only ones that came in?

I had a great experience on the front end. The staff was very helpful. I made the mistake of renting a U-Haul that was too small. They allowed me to bring it back in and exchange it for a bigger one. However, once I got on the road and hit a higher speed the U-Haul started making a really load dinging noise. I called the store and they referred me the roadside assistance. The roadside assistance told me they couldn't do anything now, that they would just fix it after I returned the U-Haul. I was driving 24 hours across the country, so I didn't want to listen to the dinging for 24 hours of driving. So I called the store back and told them that the roadside assistance was no help, they referred me to their customer service center. The customer service center said there was not anything they could do. I then called the customer service center back and asked a different person if they could help. The 2nd person said that they the only thing they could do was offer me a discount for having to listen to the dinging for 24 hours. However, she said I would just have to call the store when I returned the unit and they would take care of it. I have called the store now 4 times and left messages with no return call. I finally went into our local U-Haul store and asked them why the issue had not been addressed by the other store and a partial refund had not been issued. They looked it up and the store I had rented from and they had closed out all the calls I had made as if they had called me back and addressed the issue. So the local store re-opened the complaint so that the store I rented the U-Haul from would have to address the issue. That has been several days ago now and STILL no return call from the store I rented this U-Haul from.... I experienced great customer service on the front end from the store I rented from but HORRIBLE service after I rented. I took several videos of how loud and obnoxious the noise was and I will be sharing my review and the video on-line.

Add more staff on weekends, especially weekends when college students' leases expire and it's the end of the month; had to wait over an hour in line, before reaching the staff. Staff did a great job. Should consider a separation of duties so desk clerks don't have to leave the desk to hook up trailers...not very efficient, but not staff's fault!

Closet-sized, disorganized store with clutter and equipment randomly parked everywhere. Employees were not particularly professional looking but they were friendly and knew how to unmount the trailer from the hitch. Although the guy who unhitched the trailer instead of using a real wheel chocks on both axles just picked up a really small random piece of wood to secure one tire which was a little scary since the trailer could have rolled forward and damaged my truck. I just drove away as fast as I could...

I waited in line 1.5 hrs to pick up my vehicle. There was the same kind of line when I dropped off my keys Monday morning. They are clearly understaffed so the customer suffers. The staff was also very stressed and frustrated.. I will go to Budget next time. I hope somebody is getting rich on this model.

I was charged for fuel charges when I should not have been. I returned it with more fuel than when I received it. Why do trucks leave the yard with half a tank? Poor policy. It would easier for the customer AND business to fill tanks to top. Less confusion and ambiguity. I filed a claim #659833.

When I made the reservation online, I was promised by the agent that I could get a 10% discount at the store with my AAA card. At the counter, I was told that they never give discounts and further informed me that corporate sales agents work for a commission on the rentals. Obviously this is not the best business practice because as a customer I was lied to. Further more I arrived at the store at 9:15 (opening at 9:00), and did not get to speak to an agent until 10:20 because they were understaffed and there was a line out the door. Once I got to the counter, I had to wait another hour and a half for the employees to load a U-box onto a trailer for my use. They also had to put a cover on, which to my surprise, I discovered was on backwards when I tried to load the box. I had to drive an hour and a half each way to the store to pick up a U-box that I had reserved, which was not ready or usable despite the fact that I had made a reservation in advance. The store was understaffed, no manager on duty, and an overall poorly run operation. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Uhaul and will not be using your services in the future. The staff that was present, did an exceptional job considering the environment that they were working in.

The inside tie off strip was half torn off when I picked up the trailer. The trailer worked fine for my trip but you would think those kind of issues would be fixed before you rent them. Makes you wonder what else might be wrong with the equipment.

You need to make sure that the work that you do for customers is first rate. WE almost lost our lives , trailer, and killed no telling how many people. I would not recommend UHAUL at all.

Young kids who have no urgency when it comes to customer service. The facility was under staffed. I was charged $50 for a cleaning. I left two empty bottles in the truck. I was not able to talk to the staff because there was two people trying to serve a line of 15 people

I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this U-haul location. The initial mileage and fuel tank level reported on the contract was way off of the actual values. I made the mistake of trusting the values they wrote down and was overcharged for at about 50 miles of driving on a small local in-town move. I suppose you have to let the customer know that it is their responsibility to check to see if the values on the contract are actually correct before letting them leave the facility to prevent this from happening. I however feel that this was not my fault in any way.

The rental went smoothly and everyone was courteous however right now i received a bill where i was charged twice for a one day rental and it was returned before 5 pm on the day of rental - we actually had it from about 1 pm to 5 pm. I am not happy to see 2 charges on my credit card and am trying to get it changed now.
