  • Vehicle emissions – Many cities and states have vehicle emission standards and Milwaukee is no different. The DMV requires all vehicles 1968 or newer to be emission-tested every two years. You will not be able to register your vehicle if it has not met the minimum requirements.
  • Weather preparation – Milwaukee’s sunny summers offer mild heat and humidity, while the winters bring cold wind and heavy snowfall to the city. If you can avoid it, try to plan your move outside of the colder months.   • Go museum hunting – Milwaukee has many great museums with unforgettable history, some of the more notable museums include: Discovery World, Milwaukee Art Museum, the Harley-Davidson museum, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and the public favorite, the Milwaukee Public Museum that opened in 1884.
