Guy at Acorn Storage was VERY rude, yelling at me. Telling me I was late (when my reservation was for 6 hours--so I was NOT late.) He made racist comments to my African American friend and was shouting at me. Even when I began to cry. It was absolutely ridiculous! I'm going to file a complaint Against Acorn Storage. The way I was treated was shocking!

Quick pick up and drop off.
Mark YoungDrop off place was fine. After hours drop. Had trouble getting a code to my phone. So drop off was complicated with calling customer service. Once I had the code, things went smooth.
Kevin CollinsThe truck was not clean and had somebody’s items in the cabin. Once we left the lot we noticed the back left tire was almost flat and had to fill it up. When we opened the back the dolly was on its back and had been sliding around and there were furniture blankets all over the truck.

It was very stressful opening the lockbox to find no keys, we lucked out that there happened to be another truck outside of the locked gate that could be assigned to us… I fear we would’ve been told to try another day if not and that would’ve been a disaster.

julie PfeifferI had a rental/reservation for a 15' U-Haul and an Appliance Dolly. When I arrived for the pickup there was no Appliance Dolly. I was extremely disappointed. I place this rental for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only. I needed to move 3 refrigerators between 3 houses. Your website lets you make reservations/rentals regardless if the product is actually available. I had people lined up in Woodbury, MN and Cologne, MN to help with this timely and scheduled move. 100 miles of total trip travel and a scheduled window of time to complete these moves. I called U-Haul and they were no help to get me an appliance dolly from another location. I searched the internet and found a company in a city 20 minutes away that had an appliance dolly I could rent. I drove out of my way to rent this Dolly, at a premium price of almost $30. This set me back an hour and $30 financially. All in all I was very frustrated and upset. Not only did this cost me money, it also cost the people time that were waiting to help me move these refrigerators. Very poor customer service on U-Hauls part. NOTE - the U-Haul rental location and service person that rented me the U-Haul were great. They were friendly and provided good service. U-Haul the company/Website failed me big time with allowing me to book a product they know they didn't have and leave me high and dry the day of my reservation to just figure it out.

Sam HennemannThe truck ride was so bumpy and vibrating so hard that we were nauseous throughout the trip and had back of the neck headaches. We could only tolerate going 45/50 miles an hour for much of the trip, so it took us an extra long time to get to our destination. This was a terrible experience. Apparently these trucks are not frequently inspected or tested for performance.
Joseph NelsonThe actual location was great. However the downfall that I can see is the U-Haul 24/7 truck share. I did not have a good experience with the system. I would much rather deal with people in person over using the 24/7. I did not find it user friendly. I had problems with the checkout process as well as the check-in process.

Garret SalonenI had several issues with the check in and check out with 24/7. I like the idea of doing this on the app, but I had to use the e-mail to check in (not just using the app) which was confusing and for the drop off - the app kept crashing on step 4 of 5 so I had to start over 2 times and retake all the images. Pick up and drop off was a headache - otherwise I had a very smooth rental.
Richard LonningI used the 24x7 checkin and checkout which worked great. The only suggestion I would make is during the checkin flow have the renters take a picture of the mileage and gas level. I ended up doing so after completing the checkin but it didn’t prompt me to do so.

RONALD ChandlerAwful. My dolly wasn't there. They messed up my reservation that was supposed to be in Shakopee but it ended up in Chaska. It was supposed to be a walk in office for check in, nope. They told me I could return the truck to Shakopee, nope got there they said they won't take it. Customer service completely non existent. I'm going to post this review as well.

Dwight FarrisI had trouble with the U-Haul online system and it took me an extra 90 minutes to pick up vehicle. (I showed up early.) I then called the 800 number and was placed on hold for 20 min after which the receiving end hung up. To make matters even worse, I tried the online chat. It didn’t work. I finally used my son’s iPhone (he has the latest version) whereas mine is a year old and we were finally able to do the online pick up. The overall experience was terrible. (I wish I had spoken to real human being.)

Kimberlee BallThe truck was pretty old and was a bit of a wreck to drive. The A/C did not work well and the truck only had slightly more than a 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. I was charged for EZ Refueling despite returning with the same amount of gas. I did get the $39 credited back but I am suspicious that it wasn't an accident. All in all they have a good location and $120 for a 6 hour, 60 mile round trip move is definitely reasonable so I would recommend for a friend---just be aware of the final billing and maybe test drive the truck if you are concerned about driving a 105k plus mile truck....
Keith SchweglerDash indicated that the tire air pressure monitoring system needed to be serviced. Tires looked good so assumed it was a bad sensor. Otherwise everything else was great!
STEVE YOUNGSThe mobile ordering was a pain. Only gave 12 am to 7am as options for pick up. Wasn’t a fan of all the verifying and hunting for the key, then as we were trying to look over the truck there were so many knicks that weren’t marked, as we took pictures it moved on to the next section before we were done. We had to wait until the office opened because we didn’t want to be responsible for what we saw. It was stressful and the flat dolly we asked for wasn’t in the truck.
