debra rI find it to be unfair that I was under the mileage I was charged for and received no reimbursement for that; whereas, if I’d been over my mileage I would have been charged extra. How is this good business?? Also, accept debit cards and/or checks. This is a ridiculous policy for U-Haul and car rental companies to have. I was almost stranded in Seattle/Bainbridge because of this and had to call a friend to use her credit card. I was moving my belongings from Bainbridge to Michigan after my divorce. I fled abuse and was forced to leave my child with my abusive ex. Not accepting debit/credit cards causes hardships for many of us. Not cool.

CHARLES PThe remote pick up technology was terrible. I arrived before 7 AM, the schedule pick up time. The online service network was not operative, and it took me more than an hour, standing in the parking lot, to finally get the keys so I could get the truck pick up. That caused me to miss a ferry, which caused me to be late for an appointment. The facility where I was picking up the freight charged me a $207 late fee, which would’ve been avoided, had the pick up technology worked even reasonably well. I am very dissatisfied and frustrated.
Markos SI drove 20 miles in the rented pickup. When I filled it up prior to return, it took 4.85 gallons. The U-haul reps explanation was that the previous renter must not have filled it before return. That shouldn't be my problem. I was told the tank was full when I rented it and to fill it before return. I did. The rental ended up costing $18.85 for gas for 20 miles.

JT ATruck was available and clean. Inspection went well and I returned it a day early. Not hit with any strange fees afterwards. Easy peasy.

KIP BIsabel went above and beyond to help us out during our recent move. She came in early to ensure we had the truck in time to meet the movers, and ensured we had the required mileage to get to our destination.
lise aThe seats were totally covered with pet hair and the back of the van was very dirty. Good thing I had a plastic tarp to lay down. The outside was clean, but I would have appreciated the reverse. The folks are very nice and it’s our only option on the island, so that’s the only reason I’d recommend. There should be some sort of mile allotment with the rental. When you advertise $19.95 a day and it ends being $251 after all your fees, it feels like one is being gouged.
