For this location, I highly recommend using U-Haul’s self Check In and Check Out on your smartphone. It was user friendly and easy to do. I never had an issue and the ladies that work at this location (S&K Food Mart) are very nice :)

John CarterThe truck I rented was clean and was big enough to carry my load. The performance was sub-par. The truck had very little power and should be looked at, repaired or replaced. I found that it could be dangerous in some hilly areas as it was very hard to maintain speed in some areas.

James AndersonThey charged me for the trailer when it wasn’t at the location. Then they didn’t know how to refund my credit card and told me I had to call customer service. It appears that they have now charged me an additional $511 for some unknown reason. The worst location I’ve ever delt with.
Nick OwensPick up location did not have the furniture dolly or 2 dozen blankets I paid for. No refund given. Was told the gas tank was 1/2 full but when I got in the truck there was only a 1/4 tank. Truck was not cleaned - interior was dirty/smelly and the back had not been swept out (full of grass, dirt, and trash). Also the trucks A/C was out (great 2 hr trip in the August heat) . I have never had a poor uhual rental experience until today.

Thomas ShackletonI made reservations to pick a 6x12 trailer up at 1121 Tuscaloosa ave. Birmingham Alabama. 9:15am. When I arrived at 9 am. Waited 30 minutes. No one was there. No trailer anywhere. The “ guy” at the location new nothing about a rental trailer. U Haul advertisement sign was at the location. Called U haul number. After being on hold for a long time, finally was able to find another location 20 miles away in Leeds Alabama to get another trailer.
Gerald DuBoseThe original location was changed to this one and it was a very unsatisfactory experience. The person working seemed very unfamiliar with the UHaul process which took over 30 mins to get even after doing the check in process online. I was then provided apparently incorrect information on several items which I will cover later. The truck was very run down and not clean on the inside with significant damages to the outside. The cabin also smelled terrible of cigarette smoke. The worst of all is the dolly that was purchased was not included and this made our move significantly more difficult. The person working said “sorry nothing I can do bout that”.

jimmy maddenThe only problem with this location has nothing to do with the service of return. The problem is the electronic receipts are so tiny you can not read them and there is no way to enlarge them. As of 2.47 pm Sunday I have still not received my reimbursement. On a side note: the lady thru U-Haul customer service was amazing.

Randy KimbroughI made a reservation online that included a furniture dolly and blankets/pads. When I arrived for pick up, they didn’t have the dolly or the pads. Also, the trailer was dirty inside.

Terridan GormanGot no paperwork, truck had only 1/4 tank of gas & ended up running out of gas 1/2 mile from designated exit, did not get 2 of the dollies requested. This location does not qualify to be an Uhaul distributor!
