The equipment I reserved wasn’t in the truck.
Jeffrey SissomArrived on time for my appointment, however clerk to process my order was unable to access his desktop computer because he had forgotten his password. After 15 minutes he was able to get assistance to log on. When inspecting the truck I found a lot of trash and dirt in the cab of the truck. The back of the truck had a tarp and was not swept out as required. It was obvious to me that the truck did not undergo an inspection as required by Uhaul.

But when we got In The truck it was so nasty dirty.. the dust an the smell of the truck was like I was smoking in it. I don't smoke!! So when I left I had went around the corner where we were moving from the filth on the windows made it hard to see out of we had to stop to clean the windows.. (wasting miles) go home did 1 load and while driving the low air lights started flashing and beeping.. when came to the red light and braked felt like the whole back wheels were going to brake off. Got to our destination (4miles down) off loaded came back loaded the truck we were about to do another load and realized we can't drive it at night head light was out and a back light was out so we could not do any more loads..WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY!!! GET A NEW TRUCK

Cheryl SheppardThe truck was very dirty inside. There was dried ketchup spilled on the console and floor. It was obvious that no one cleaned it since the previous rental. I found this very odd especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. But anytime you don’t clean between renters shows a lack of professionalism. I’m sure you’ll make an improvement for future renters.

JULIO CEAIt took almost an hour to get approved for the rental which bled into my rental time and the truck was filthy, but I’m the one who has to pay a cleaning fee. I’m definitely not satisfied.
Jordan CardonaDolly and blankets I requested was not in truck and this happened the last time I used U-Haul they don’t put equipment you want in the truck but sure quick to try and charge you for it! They also charged my account and a few days later took even more money out! Why wouldn’t you wait and charge a customer one time only?! I won’t use U-Haul again!

Mindy MobleyThe experience with u-Haul was horrible to say the least. I reserved a 17 foot truck 19 days before my move and at a location in my town. The day before the move, I received a phone call from u-Haul stating that the only truck they had for me was a 10 foot truck and it had to be picked up in another city. The woman was very rude and basically saying take it or leave it. They wanted me to wait until 10 am to pick it up (who waits that late to start a move?). Only after I complained to the pick up time, she offered the 24/7 truck option. When I asked how to use it she replied, go to the website and watch the video. When I asked for her manager, she replied I am the manager and she was it. When I picked up the truck, the 24/7 app said it was due back at 1pm, which I was supposed to have until 4pm. Once again had to call and waste 30 minutes to speak to someone to get the drop off to 4pm. When I asked to drop it off in my own city, the reply was no, you have to take it back where you got it. When I opened the truck to start loading it, I found it to be loaded with ants. Had to spray it before the load which made the truck smell badly while loading. Being that I was supposed to have a 17 foot truck, having the 10 foot truck didn't fit all my furniture. When paying for the truck, I had to pay more mileage fee for the pick up and drop off than I did for the move itself, since the location was in a different city. In the future I will not be using u-Haul and I will warn others of my experience!
Denise WaldropI was never able to get the van. The location was closed. Never drove it!!! Now I’m being charged a cleaning fee gas and rental fees for a van I never used at all! Total fraud!

Nicholas MeerbergenWhere to begin. Over charged for rental on mileage and blankets I did not use, seal on blanket bag not broken. Truck was a POS, wheel alignment off, transmission screwed up, shocks worn out, not clean. Guy there never answers phone, and turns off answering machine. If you keep calling he eventually answers. Complete BS. Never again!

Roy WhiteThe location overcharged me and the manager did not know how to perform a refund. I was charged an extra day and also for an appliance dolley that I never received. The manager acknowledged the mistake he made but kept insisting I call customer service myself, saying he did not have the ability to fix the problem and they are the only ones that could fix the issue. I called customer service and put them on speaker so the location manager can hear what I was told. The location manager then said I have to call billing myself after I hung up with customer service. He did not want to take care of the issue himself and was completely incompetent! He made the mistake and was trying to pass the problem to someone else who did not the authority to fix it.

CARLA GREGORYBe clearer for the advertisement. I was expecting to pay $20 plus mileage for 10 miles and get charged for $46. That doesn't add up. Would not recommend anyone to believe the advertisement.
Charles WilsonYour contracts provide a gallon estimate in order to determine how much gas should be replaced to get it to the same level it was rented. I was charged an additional $8.08 even though I replaced the gas with the amount communicated on your contract. Very bad service.

People don't want to be told it's okay to pay in cash, do so then receive their deposit in a check mailed to them, or refunded on their credit card days later with the costs from their back, etc. Don't mislead customers for the sake making a sale. Have employees take annual customer service training and don't hire rude, immature, incompetent people lacking self respect and integrity.

When speaking with customer service at u hauls toll free number was treated incredibly rudely by representative. ..was hung up on...called a liar...and told to be quiet when trying to explain my situation. ..I was so shocked by how I was spoken to, I couldn't believe this is how they treat customers. I will go out of my way to NEVER do business with them again
