If the place was less of a shack and more of a store it would be better. But it’s very nice that it’s convenient.

ESTHER ABOSCHYes, this store manager was quite proficient with everything, but my opinion of UHaul as a company is quite poor. First, I had reserved a truck and trailer on Gilbert rd in Gilbert and then was sent 9 miles away to this other location for the truck...only. For the trailer I sent 12 miles to another location in Mesa, which took an hour to get because the business proprietor had not been properly trained yet. In my destination of LA, I had to take the trailer all the way to Crenshaw in LA--quite a drive in LA. I also find that the closest Uhaul self storage in 7 miles away, so I just got another storage place--with an offer of first month free anyway. upon returning the truck in Santa Monica, I am told that I gone 39 miles over my allotted amount, for a charge of $39 plus tax. I question your odometer over this. I did visit my Aunt in Indio, 3 miles off freeway and 3 back totaling 6. Then there was the trip 12 miles to Crenshaw and 12 back for 24. Then 6 or so more in Santa Monica for storage and truck return. This comes to 36 give or take. Upon renting I was told I would get 60 extra miles over my 407 estimated distance of my journey. This indicates that the truck's odometer to be off by more than 60 miles over my roughly 443 miles of driving, an error of 13.54%. This is not okay! A partial refund is warranted.
Kendall NoxselThe place is hard to get to and find, everything past that was great!
Anne NelsonFast service. Car was clean and overall good condition. Tire pressure was below alert threshold.
Aleksandr LipetskyDropping off the truck in a location that wasn't the original address made me a bit nervous I was going to be charged an extra fee, so maybe change the address on the app to where the trucks are parked?
Matthew MaruskinThe pick-up location was great but the truck needed a good scrub from previous job.
Timur InsepovVery friendly staff and quick service. My only suggestion is to let people know ahead of time the U-Haul might not be on the premises. We didn’t realize we would have to drive an extra mile to pick up the van
Alana StellyGreat customer service.
amin gilaniThx!
Katrina TongolI will not recommend U-Haul online reservations EVER! I was forced to go to a different location because where I was originally suppose to pick up my rental truck didn't have it. The second location I was sent was closed and it forced me to travel another 45 minutes to a third location before I finally got a truck. The truck was old, beaten up, and not clean. The store front is a shed. The person at the counter reeked of body odor.
Mark CalhounThe truck was blocks away from the check in office. Should be listed on uhaul website for those arriving via rideshare.
Devin UrbanThe truck had a broken mirror that would stay in place so driving down the freeway was incredibly dangerous. The truck also had a low air in tire warning and a check engine light on.
Ashley McGullamCustomer service is poor and they rip people off. Also I was forced to bring a truck back that I reserved for 24 hours just because it was going out of state the next day. Money hungry people
Jamila BerkleyThis location was a little difficult to find. I recommend including a note with the reservation confirmation to give more specific directions on where to find the office. Thanks for the great service.
Robert Bennettcheck Engine light ON Oil light ON Low tire pressure light ON, one tire obviously low LEAKING GASOLINE!!! left puddles of gas on ground, everyone commented on the smell of gas I've never rented a vehicle so poorly maintained.
Doug McnameeSarah, the representative that helped me throughout the entire experience was excellent. Only complaint was that the vehicle had a bad odor after sitting with the windows closed for a while. She was very apologetic and offered to give me a slight discount.
Christopher WongThe rental location was fine, the agent there was great, but the truck was in bad condition and dirty (old coffee cups) and where the truck was parked was a scary 1-star motel where someone came up soliciting for tools, so definitely had to bring someone with me to return the truck
Leslie TangAlways a breeze at this location. Will always return
Tyler KontraEverything was great! Easy, quick and no issues. The location is a bit hidden but I called and they answered right away. No complaints. Thank you
Hiroshi IwaiI mistakenly overfilled the gas tank by mistake but can’t be reimbursed. Seems like an awful policy considering the flip side if i did not fill it i would be a charged a $30 fee and 15-20% markup on gas if you had to fill it. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Joseph DAllevaCheckout was closeby and fast. Personnel courteous. No issues.
Paul HellermanDid not sign up for the SafeMove coverage but applied to the charge so need a refund ASAP thank you
Yeqingqing HeJust make sure you have enough equipment
HUGH fordOwner is nice, helpful, intuitive and efficient.
Mark ThudiumVery helpful on-site representative.
DANIEL POYOUROWEasy, friendly, & professional. This is the location to use.
Steve BrouttAmazing service and a very transparent and honest experience!
Walter AlasI was severely overcharged. They grossly exaggerated my mileage and I won’t be using U-Haul again.
Jenasis ThebaudExcellent customer service
tusharr shahVery convenient, the truck is very clean. There is parking lot that can park our own car.
Ge LiVery easy process and friendly staff!
Caprice GibsonIt's nice to have free parking while using the rental vehicle, but it would be good to notify customers about the free parking in advance so they don't make the mistake of paying for parking on the street before going to the rental office.
Leonard HerzogHarry was super nice and accommodating. He called me before my reservation and when I was at a loss for where to park he told me where to go. The office is a bit tough to find and parking isn't obvious so I wasn't sure about leaving my car, but the guys were nice and pick up and drop off was very easy.
Alexander KantI had signed up for self service and ended up having to go to the location and speaking with the representative.
Rebecca GalindoGreat service
albehar neziriThe location was clean and the staff was great, although the truck itself had a blinker and brake light out and the dashboard would not click past the “change oil soon” light.
Zoe WatersHad a wonderful experience with my Uhaul rental at City Car Rental! The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend!
Shreya ShahThey are the best!
Sean HawthorneI would recommend it for convenience sake.
Andreas KrainerThe equipment was generally clean but the cabin smells absolutely awful. Clearly this cabin has been smoked in extensively. It smells terrible. I immediately threw my clothing in the wash after using this truck. There was also water in the back of the truck due to a leak. The staff at the location were kind and eager to help, but it is confusing that the truck was parked far enough away that it was necessary to drive there. There is also an issue with UHAUL's system where we were able to book a 9am pickup but the location does not open until 10, and the UHAUL website says they open at 11:30. In the end I got a usable rental truck for a decent price, but the experience could have been a lot better.
Douglas BrandtThe price jumped up from first looking at it online, so I would recommend booking sooner than later before price increases. Basically, don't wait to book, so plan ahead for a better deal.
JOSHUA SOUDERThe check out and check back in processes were very efficient.
Valerie LezinHave used this Uhaul location many many times and it is always an incredibly smooth process.
Jesse FillinghamI normally wouldn't find myself writing a review for a U-Haul location. However, the service at this (rather small) location was impeccable and worth spending the time to write some praise. The manager who helped me was cordial and well mannered. He had a car service awaiting any pick-up / drop-off to his U-Haul trucks. He was also very clear in explaining the transaction. Finally, it was clear he runs a small business and it's important to support these businesses that provide excellent service during hard economic times. I hope this review serves him well.
Garrett ChangGreat service and convenient location! No waiting, full tank, and blankets were ready for us. Easy drop off when finished.
Bernhard Dan KoermerThe manager was extremely rude, unprofessional and used a curse word at the time of pick up. His demeanor and tone with me was actually frightening. He made multiple sarcastic comments to me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I would never rent from this location again. Everything else was fine. No issues with the truck or at the drop off location.
Colin DiasThe address where they do the rentals is different from where they have the actual vehicles. By 10 blocks! After I couldn't find my rental I had to go and see the attendant where he told me you can't use the app or the online site because they changed the policy. After I got the keys, the attendant said the rental is "two lanes" down the street and that I had to return the vehicle to an address 10 blocks away. I spent another 20 mins looking for the rental "two lanes" down the street before going to the motel listed for the drop off spot. That when I found my rental, with a slightly damaged roof and running 40 mins late.
ARTURO MORAHaving somewhere in the neighborhood seems very convenient, which is why I didn't drive further to one of the bigger lots. They had vans advertised for $19.95/day. I only needed it for a day, which seemed great. Turned out after making the reservation that it was going to be $89/day, plus another 49¢ per mile for mileage above 100. Here is another catch: the guy at the desk in the shack tells you, "The van is 2 lights away - do you need a ride?" Everyone declines, which presumably saves him the cost of an uber. In fact, it's a walk from the 3100 block to the 2300 block - 8 blocks. Not a huge problem necessarily but a significant inconvenience. When I brought it to his attention when I returned the van, he said, "Yeah - 2 lights, 4 blocks." When I said that it was in fact 4 lights and 8 blocks, he had no response. I heard him tell the same lie to another customer as well. The van was in mechanically good shape, but it was not especially clean - there was animal hair on the seats, and the floor in the cab was covered in a thin layer of dirt. Also - they rented it to me with supposedly 1/4 tank of gas. By the time I got to the gas station, it was down to 1/8 tank. I spent $145 to fill it up, knowing that I was going to be putting 200 miles on it and having no idea how much gas that was going to take. I returned it with 3/4 tank of gas. When I brought that fact to the attention of the guy at the desk to request reimbursement, he said he couldn't do anything about it - well maybe he could get me a little something but it wouldn't be much. (They charge you $8/gal. plus a $30 service fee if you bring it back with less than you started.) I said he should give me what he could and then I would call Uhaul about the rest. He said then they wouldn't give me anything. So now, I have called them 5 times over the past nearly an hour. Their customer service line tells you it's going to be 15-20 minutes before you can talk to anyone and please use the website instead. Then, the line appears to go dead. The 5th time, I finally figured I'd just wait. After 2 minutes of dead silence, the system starts up again, saying that you're going to have to wait another 15 minutes etc. I finally got ahold of someone who said she was going to have to put the request through to a manager, which would take up to three days. Then, she offered to give me "their direct number" - which was the same 800 number I had called every time. It's the lies that are so irritating. So, this supposedly $19.95 rental just around the corner has cost me $253.24, not counting the gas that I used. Next time, I'm going to try another rental company, or at the very least drive to one of the bigger lots.
