Jacqueline ScottThe person didn’t want to come out of his office and he didn’t even inspect the rental and told me to go across the street and unhook the trailer and drop it and when I did he told me I dropped it in the wrong spot and wanted me to go move it and wouldn’t give me a drop off inspection or receipt because I wouldn’t move the trailer.

Natalie WeaverI had turned my truck in Friday night and it wasn’t due until Saturday afternoon. I had trouble turning it in on the website so the lady talked to me on the ring doorbell and said to just put the key in the return box and she would enter it the next day. She didn’t enter it in her system until the following Monday and they charged me for 2 extra days. When I called and said something to her she talked to her manager and told me that he would return my money to me. I never received the refund.

Jailyn DiazThere needs to be a sign either in the cab or in great big letters at the top of the contract that if you turn on the ignition and close the door, the door will lock. At 7:30 Saturday morning, the rental office was not open yet. The contract was in the cab, so I had no access to instructions. I called AAA, and they came, but they weren't allowed to unlock it because it is a commercial vehicle. They WERE allowed to unlock it if we paid them $75, so that is what we did. We weren't happy about that and would appreciate a refund. I will pursue this with Uhaul administration. But if I weren't a AAA member, I have no idea what we would have done. Other renters might not be so lucky.
Alexander MurrayTanisha was available and very helpful at pickup, though the facility was actually closed (which I knew in advance). The U-Haul website for pickup is difficult. Would be nice to have a text with the link available and a simplified process. An App might be helpful. Just way too many steps in that process after going through so many to reserve in the first place.

Shirlena WalkerCustomer service was poor. I didn’t appreciate being required to sit outside of the establishment during a storm. Supposedly, the reason for not allowing me to enter the building was because they were closing their operations. I would never recommend this location to anyone!

Jill GretterUnable to process rental with 24/7 app. Told to wait for business to open 4 hours later. WHAAATTT!!!!! In spite of the fact I called the previous evening to confirm reservation and process!!!!!! Then sent to other facility where truck was FILTHY and fuel and mileage were incorrect. This made the check in and return process DIFFICULT. Then was billed incorrectly. All this required 5 phone calls.

Mark McCabeI was charge $100 more then the quote I was provided online-- I kept asking the lady about it.. because even on the app where I was process my request to pay was showing $100 less than what she was saying I had to pay. She said there was nothing she could do about it.. I feel I should be credited back that $100 because I was quote $100 less for the actual truck???

Robert DunnThis was the 3rd location I was given for pickup. 48+ miles from my original requested pickup. The 2nd location I was given for an 8am pickup - didn't setup the reservation for mobile checkin. The truck had to be upgraded to a 15ft truck. There was some mileage credits given but didn't cover the additional miles I had to drive. Nor did this cover the additional 2 hrs of my time nor the additional personal gas in my vehicle to pickup the rental. This review is not a reflection on H&J. My first call to Raleigh traffic control was less than acceptable. Insisted there were no other vechicles - smaller or larger within a 20-40-60 mile radius. But somehow on Saturday 8am when I couldn't pickup at the assigned location Raleigh traffic found a larger truck within 3.5 miles of the location. The 90 miles credit & $50 credit didn't come close to covering the additional cost of time & money I experienced.

Joan CalhounKey to truck i was assigned was not in the key box when i arrived. I had to wait an additional hour for someone to come and give me key. This placed me an hour behind schedule. This reservation was guaranteed, I have not received a response about the $50 guarantee I am entitled to.
EMMANUEL LUCASMake sure the mileage is correct because i got charged 178.00 for miles I didn't drive plus uhaul didn't refund my money for the two dollies and blankets that I didn't receive. All together uhaul stiffed me for 200 bucks.
