The process was easy and the person who assisted with the checkout was friendly and helpful.
Charles SStaff members were courteous and friendly. But, inventory is very, very small. The paperwork process was delayed due to the fact the person in charge was evidently training somebody new. Also delayed due to a problem with the rental trailer lighting. They did resolve it.

Terri gWas disappointed that the size we ordered was not available at the site we thought it was. All reservations were made by phone at this location, and at no time were we notified that we would need to pick up the truck at a different location. That is, until we arrived at the Derby location, where we made the arrangements. Very disappointed!!!

Ronnie MNot overcharge. A year ago this was much less expensive, additional taxes not explained. Truck very dirty, front windshield had a big chip in it. Interior very dirty needed wiped down and vacuumed out. Needed washed between rentals and it seems they dont care about the guest or cleanliness of trucks. Man who helped me had a hard time with his smartphone check in tool
KYLE BEnsure that the oil life readout is accurate. It was at 0% at the time of delivery. Oil in Engine was fine.
Robert ITruck should be taken out of service. Numerous safety issues. Door bent and binding on fender making it impossible to open all the way. Windshield wipers dried out reducing visibility while driving in rain. Steering sloppy and front shocks worn out. Pot holes caused lane departure. Aftermarket radio installed incorrectly - would not dim making it extremely difficult to see at night. Truck overheated when allowed to idle for more than 20 minutes to keep cab warm, Jumped out of drive as transmission linkage misadjusted / worn. Was told by local uhaul agent that this is a local use truck. However Uhaul knew I was renting it for a round trip to Sedalia Missouri and back to Derby Kansas. Seeking refund commensurate with the unsafe conditions to which I was exposed due to the extremely poor equipment uhaul provided. Additionally I require documentation stating truck will be taken out of service until noted conditions are corrected followed by proof of abatement or proof of salvage. Troy RThe online check in and return have improved quite a bit. It is very easy to follow and I was able to complete pickup/drop off without any issues. The rep Hannah was great! She was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Very pleasant experience, we will return to this location.

Paula BHave a pick up time during office hours not at 6:00 in the morning where there is no light to inspect the truck as per U-Haul instructions. There were too many hoops to jump through just to verify an identity and for pick up. Ridiculous. They told me that if I didn’t use the moving pads I wouldn’t be charged. I did not use them, didn’t even open the bag they were in and I was still charged for them. Not a good experience.

Amy BWhen we dropped the truck off after hours and attempted to use the online process for after hours drop off. So our only option was to leave the truck, keep the keys and plan on coming in to the office once they opened up the next morning. Before getting there that morning a U-Haul employee called because the truck needed to be moved to have access to another truck. I explained what had happened and why the truck keys were not there. He told me that office was closed for the week and he was there to get a truck ready that had been reserved. I met him at the office location and he checked the truck in for me. He was very friendly, professional and courteous. It was very disappointing and frustrating when we attempted to check the truck in the night before and the online process did not work properly. We felt bad about leaving the truck and taking the key until the next morning but we didn’t know what else to do.
