I had my location switched here by a dispatcher and was told there would be workers that I can check in with. We arrived, and it was closed for the holiday. Heads up that they are closed after specifically being told they would be open would’ve been nice, as figuring out what to do took us an additional 30 minutes, and my needs for the truck were very timely. If we had a heads up, the process would’ve been faster.

We’ve had to use UHaul a few times & every time but one has been a huge hassle. We book it in plenty of time. They change it to a different venue so we end up having to pay more mileage to drive the vehicle from the town we requested it from to where we want to be. We feel that’s on purpose. They don’t let you know soon enough so you can’t say no and go get another company because they’ll now be booked up. We asked for two hand trucks. When we arrived the place told us they don’t have any and have been requesting them from UHaul for a year. When we said then why is it an option to book here because now we have to move without hand trucks because who will have hand trucks to rent at this late date & on a long weekend? Why didn’t they call and let us know this beforehand? They didn’t want to hear that our reservation was changed three times by the company at too late a date for us to do anything about. We ended up with a shorter truck than we needed (so back and forth meant more mileage), no hand trucks & only given the vehicle with 1/4 tank of gas. Overall, for a company as old as UHaul, the experience should be way easier than it ever is. Totally unsatisfied.

Jon VLocation we booked at didn't have our rental and didn't even to call and inform us of this. Luckily another location had it but sadly is about a 20 minute drive away and way out of the area we need so spent more money for the km and gas to drive the extra distance each way and time (put us behind schedule) to get our rental. Vehicle was filthy. We had to clean the windows, you could barely see out of them safely. Not good at all.

Susan WAmazing customer service at Diverse storage. Unfortunately my rental was not as reserved, and missing equipment (not to the fault of the location). My not recommending this location has nothing to do with the location itself, but of the failure of communication and delivery of proper rental equipment from U-haul. For the third time as a U-Haul customer I was left without the equipment I had reserved. Thanks to the helpful staff at diverse storage, my problem was resolved, but only because of their generosity.

Bobbie SLocation was fine. I indicated that I would be driving to Kelowna (requires winter tires this time of year) however the vehicle I got only had mud+snow. I drove to Kelowna and did not feel safe returning in the vehicle. When I raised my concern on the phone with the schedule assistant I was told that the vehicle I have must return to my pick up location and if I don't bring it back there and leave it in Kelowna it will be "at least 500$" which I could dispute at a later date. In addition the agent accused me of planning to do that the whole time however I had no such intentions as I planned this well in advance to know what the weather was going to be like. Additionally I ordered an appliance dolly and some blankets with the vehicle. When I arrived at the location I was told the van was empty and I had to call in order to find a location with the dolly. I was directed to another location which did not have the correct dolly I requested. I then had to call again and go to another location and was able to pick up the items I originally requested. Overall I am unimpressed with U-Haul and my experience with the company has been subpar at best. All the locations I visited the employees were great and very helpful, however, whenever I was on the phone it was the opposite.

Karl DU Haul website is not intuitively obvious and is challenging to navigate. Pages load slowly. This was my experience and also reflect comments from numerous staff at many locations I visited in search of a vehicle.
Cameron WI was disappointed to find out I was charged 72 dollars because the fuel tank was empty before I rented it. And I would have to bring it back with at least 1/4 of a tank to get this money back. This actually ended up costing me an extra $40 in fuel for my rental so that I could return it with 1/4 tank, but if it had, had a 1/4 tank it wouldn't have cost $80 in total for fuel. Uhual should have a system where the uhual location operators are able to charge uhual back for filling tanks where other irresponsible renters have returned the rental with no fuel

Charlie TThis was the worst experience I have ever had using Haul. This was the first time I had who I was question and verified despite have a drivers license , passport and credit card in my name. This woman had to call someone and see if I was I was claiming and showed proof to be was actually me. WTF 2 piece of government ID isn't enough for a person of color in 2023. Just used Haul at a different location 3 weeks ago and None of this happened. So all people of color steer clear of this location

Paul MWhile the overall cleanliness and maintenance was acceptable, the inside of the cab, especially the dashboard in front of the passenger, and the centre console cup holders were dirty and residue of dried soda and grime was visible. I wouldn’t want the next person to deal with it, so I have cleaned it up. Happy to send pictures if needed.

Pickup location was moved- this location is across town which adds in kms- overcharging! Pickup location pin pads do not work properly or owners can’t use, over 30 mins waiting for them to still say it won’t work but would only take credit card no cash or debit.

Debra-lee MStaff at Keith Wilson location very accommodating, a pleasure to deal with. All the taking of photos for driver's license, odometer, fuel gauge etc. very annoying. What if a person doesn't have a cell phone? Very impressed with $19.95 cost for a vehicle for the day. With all the extras, excluding fuel, it came to $75. Still a great deal. I called a car rental place and they quoted me $175 for a compact car. I U-haul i got a large van for $75. Could have got a moving truck for the same price. Will certainly revisit.

SHARON GRemove unwanted and not requested rental items from trucks. I did not use a dolly that was in the truck I rented. I was charged $7. When I questioned the charge I was advised that a seal was broken. Why would I question a $7 charge when I left the truck with obviously more fuel then when I started. I didn’t use the dolly.

You'd think they'd have to check the trucks for that exact reason. If they do then they don't do a very thorough job.
