This place is sketchy! They didn't record the mileage correctly on the contract. The contract said that it was around a third of a tank, but it was almost empty when I received the truck. Further, I paid for an appliance dolly, but wasn't given one. I went back when I realized the mistake and no one was there. No one was there when I dropped the truck off either, and the keys wouldn't fit in the drop off box outside the door...it was a bad experience to say the least. I feel pretty ripped off.
When I picked up the van, the gas level was recorded as 1/4, but in actuality it was 1/8. The mileage was recorded as 900, but in actuality it was 1,400. I think the owner of this location is using the vehicle for his own use and trying to trick renters into paying for his millage and gas. When I mentioned it to him, he pulled out his cell phone and made a fake phone call to the UHaul head office. Strange how he got immediatly to the person on the other end without entering an extension or getting voice mail. I could tell he know he rented me a lie. He started acting exceptionally nice after that, with small talk. This guy is shady. Caveat emptor. Worst part, he has my credit card number including code on the front and back. I expect him to use my card for online purchases over the next few days.
