You changed the pickup location from around the corner to a hours drive. Why change the original reservation. That is not the definition of RESERVATION.

The employee didn't know what to do. And had to call someone. Then we were walked through everything on speaker phone from the station. Took over an hour

Would have been nice to drop it off at a closer location. Instead I get a text to drop off 17 miles away thus costing me more gas and milage when I could have dropped it off 1 mile from where I was at.

Make sure these people check in the stuff when others bring it back. They tried scamming me out of $152 dollars by not checking it in when I brought it back to the store to get it checked in by them

When I reserved my unit I was asked where I would like to pickup. I selected one of the many Thornton Co locations offered for the equipment I needed. The day comes around and I’ve been informed I can pick up in Gilcrest. Now, confused over this issue, I contact Uhaul and look for more information on why I am driving an hour the opposite direction of the state I am moving too. After hearing the explanation I ask the agent “does any of that make sense to you?” To which she pauses for a while before stammering “now that I work here yes it does make sense to me.” This is super customer oriented. I’m offered 50 miles more for the inconvenience. No regards for the money spent on gas for the truck and my person car to retrieve and deliver the truck to my area. I request the manager of the area reach out to me about the issues. I drive out to Gilcrest to get the truck and unfortunately the attendant for the location cannot complete the rental agreement to process the truck to me. She is blameless in this beyond lack of understanding for the system. So she reaches out to the manager who tells her to give me the keys. I again request he reaches out to me. So I left after 30 minutes with no paper work, no inspection of the truck, and no information regarding my pickup beyond a man on the phone says I can take it. The truck was not swept out, there were moving blankets opened and crumpled up in the attic space and the gas take was not full. This all adds to my frustration, but I forge on and move myself out of the state which we all know is already a headache. I still have no phone calls from anyone about this. Now arriving, and dropping off the truck went great. I dropped it off 2 days early with more that 100 miles to spare per my reservation information. The attendant was blown away at the experience and recommended I reach out again due to all these issues and request some graces. I returned the truck with a full tank of gas, early, and clean. Actually ready for someone else. Once again I reach out and the agent sends my story and information to Frank the area manager for Uhaul. Frank does call me and honestly, he did not seem to care about any of this. The call was definitely just a courtesy to check me off the to do list. Without much apology he deflects to other areas of uhauls agreements. He insists I contact the area manager for the Colorado division to dispute any option for reimbursement of any form. Frank did not provide any names or contact information for this new Uhaul employee I had to drag into this. We resolve the phone call with confirmation he was sending my information and case to the right person and here I sit. Days later awaiting a phone call from someone else with Uhaul. If you’ve read this far. Bless you. I’ve really never had a worse experience with Uhaul and it just keeps getting even more astonishingly terrible. Since the review emails keep coming from uhaul I figured I would post a little bit about my recent rental.

The people were very nice and very apologetic for how poor the U-Haul web site worked, we had to enter and re enter all infromation including credit card information 3 and 4 times, this was a horrible experance, I will never use u-haul again. Again people were very nice but the system performed unacceptable. All the infromation was given when i ordered the equipment, i pre registered prior to arriving and still had to re enter the infromation 3 and 4 times. check in took over 1-1/2 hours totally unacceptable.... Never Never Again
