I called Uhaul on Friday afternoon to reserve a 14' truck. I was told a price and the miles that I needed and was told to pick up he truck from the Mobile location on Sheridan Road. Little did I know that all of this would occur... I spent over 45 minutes in this location just to pick up the Uhaul because of miscommunication from Uhaul and Mobile. It took 3 phone calls from my end to try and get what I was told. I waited for them to give me the price and mileage that I was told over the phone the previous day. When I went to return the Uhaul 8 hours later I dealt with a worker who had not the slightest clue what she was doing to return a Uhaul to that gas station. She was rude, and I waited there for AN HOUR just to return the truck!!! She could not figure out the computer system, and I was left to fend for myself by calling the uhaul location on 39th avenue who lead me to the customer support center. After an hour of waiting she told me I was fine to leave, but she could not print me a receipt because she did not know how to work the printer as well. The lack of communication between employees and locations was terrible. Everything was so unorganized and it wasted 2 hours of my day. I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again or even use this Mobile location to get gas or any merchandise for that matter.
The tires on the truck were old and appeared to be dry rotting. The truck was in need of a front end alignment. In addition, the truck reeked of manure, either from hauling or perhaps being run through a field.
Entered the wrong mileage and gave customer the wrong vehicle which in result had customer running around in Chicago to try to get deposit back.
Difficult when only one attendant working. Our process was interrupted whenever a gas/cigarette customer came in.
