We had no idea everything was done online and it was such a pain to do. Neither my husband or I had cell reception to accomplish the process. After a good 30 minutes at least of standing there trying to get it to work the guy who owned the place finally helped us sort it out in person instead. We had the same issues upon returning the truck. I don’t think we’ll ever rent a u-haul again if it’s always going to be done through the app. Much easier back when you just did it with a human in front of you.

They need to fill up the gas tank. I had less than a quarter of a tank when i picked up the truck.

John GCalled the number with what cell service I can get, the person that picked up wasn't very helpful. was told to drop it off in the driveway. The app did not work on my phone due to poor cell service in the area. Had to drive 5 miles down the road and call the 800 number to return the trailer.
Minh NEverything was wonderful at Oakwood Tire -- friendly, helpful, efficient -- and had me ready to go in no time. David at the Danville U-Haul deserves kudos, too. I originally called there to rent the truck. David said they didn't have that size truck available, but he checked around and found the one in Fithian -- closer to where I needed anyway. He arranged my entire rental over the phone. Everyone (both Danville and Fithian) was great and very helpful!
Warren TInspection of condition of equipment with defects noted before releasing equipment. This was not done.

Larn MHad a voice mail claiming we were late even though we dropped the truck off a day early. Very upsetting! Keeping all records when dealing with that place since they obviously don’t keep track of anything. Got the truck on a thursday morning and had a message Friday morning. Truck wasn’t due until Saturday morning but we returned it Friday night. Very stressful moving and worse when you have to deal with unorganized people.
keith AVery small office, but staff was courteous and accommodating. Very limited selection of equipment, but I was rerouted there from my primary pickup location (Champaign) to pickup the trailer I scheduled. I did not appreciate U-Haul doing so but it is no negative reflection on the Fithian U-Haul location.
Antonio MThe service was awful. Every number I called gave me no usable information. One person I spoke to said that, "there were no trailers in the state." After finding a trailer, the website said that it was available in my area, but I got a call the day before I was supposed to pick it up that said I had to drive half an hour to pick it up. This was a ridiculous experience, the website needs work, and the employees don't know what the hell is going on. The only helpful person was Aaron at the Fithian pickup, because clearly none of this was his fault. I'd rather rent out a shit filled pig trailer to move my things next time than have to deal with this awful business.
