I made an online reservation for different location and ordered my tow hitch and other supplies. I had to go to the first location to get my supplies and then the second to get the trailer. We had to wade out into a weed filled dirt lot to hook up the trailer.
Cab stunk bad. I've rented many trucks from uhaul. None have ever smelled this bad. The box was never cleaned. There was a large amount of dirt in it. I had to clean it out before I could pack anything.
Ensure vehicles are cleaned prior to renting out to customers. Employee I dealt with got upset that I requested that all the dry dirt in the back of the vehicle get swept out. I requested the vehicle get swept out because I knew that the location I was turning the vehicle in would charge me for a dirty vehicle based on past experience. In addition, ensure all available rental equipment is within the system because I was unable to rent the available dolly since it wasn't in the system. For that reason I had to run to another Uhaul location to rent a dolly. Furthermore, the Uhaul representative at the other location went out of her way to clean the inside of my vehicle when I mentioned about my experience at the rental location/the amount of dirt all over the floor in the cabin of the vehicle. In addition, I didn't receive a confirmation email or phone call confirming the rental like the other 5 location I've dealt with over the past few months in moving my household goods across country. When calling the location to confirm my reservation the answering machine states that the location is a tax service and not Phases Truck & Automotive Repair as listed on the invoice and for that reason I hung up thinking I was provided with the wrong contact information. I ended up spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone with Uhaul and being transferred to 5 different times to confirm that the location was correct.
