Have the d**n equipment at least at a nearby location even if someone has to go get it

William WiseThe lady I picked up from was very rude. I was to pick up at 930 she didn't show up till 10 to open the business that was to open at 9. Then told me they didn't have power and she couldn't help me even though I had done the whole check in process online. I drove 2 states to pick up the truck and she tells me sje can't do anything because of no power. She finally got the truck for me but I was hassled the whole time.

David PhillipsShort and sweet ,I a horrible experience before going to Newport . After trying several times, and making several phone calls to uhaul and to the owner of the rv place in Dandridge , I was still unable to access the truck. What started as a 10:00 am pick up in Dandridge turned into a 2:00 pm pick up in Newport. We were told Newport was closed and would need to go to seivervill. We found out on our own that Newport was open and had a truck. Seivervill on the other hand was open but had no truck. If I had gone to seivervill it would have cost me about $60 just to get back to the starting point. I was told that I couldn't get miles discounted even though it was no fault of mine I had to go out of my way to get a truck. I was later told that isn't true, it just takes a push of a button. I have rented several trailers from Jefferson City and haven't had any problems when dealing with a live person but your 24/7 program was horrible. I will NEVER rent or should I say attempt to rent that way again. It cost me major aggravation and 4 hours of my time. Dealing with the people that rent out the trucks and trailers has been great, dealing with uhaul,,,not so much.

Victoria mccabeKnow the product your renting more. The lady knew nothing about tire pressure requirements,loaded and unloaded. Had to wait over an hour to rent it on top of this and no one was ahead of me. On top of all this, they have a big mud hole in the back where they store all the uhaul equipment and it's severely muddy. My vehicle just was washed and the deep mud hole ruined it. This needs fixed so customers don't have to go four wheeling in the back to rent some equipment.Very frustrating!!

melanie gregorygoing to be long - we were quite disappointed with several of the things that Uhaul did to us this day. The Newport location was very helpful. However, I am glad we called in advance because she was getting ready to leave. She was great by getting the truck out and ready for us to pick up upon our arrival. What is not listed is the first place we were sent to in Sevierville. We arrived at 9:00 because we were told that was the time. The man working informed us that he does not check out trucks until 10:30. (we were in a time crunch that day) And then he informed us that the truck we needed he did not have. We called and were informed that a 26 foot was available about 2 miles away. We did not need a 26 foot truck. We could not have gotten into the space we were loading. So after a 30 minute discussion on phone - we were sent 30 minutes to Newport to get a 15 foot truck. This put us way behind. We were not happy with the reservation process.
Don MarkhamI was surprised that it was extra to hook the trailer up after I paid $300 to rent it. I guess all you can do is go to a U-Haul service center if you want full service.

Cary CarpenterThe 1-800 number or main office sent me to the incorrect location. Luckily Sissy called from the correct location to check on me picking up the truck, so I had her number to call after being sent to the incorrect location. Should look at removing that location as it isn’t for pickup of rental trucks. Sissy was absolutely amazing and gave me the information in a straightforward, easy to understand manner and didn’t rush me!
Laura ShamasShonda Fithen went out of her way to make sure we had the vehicle we needed. She explained the how everything worked and how I would be billed. Last but not least she stayed late so I could come back and get phone that I left in the truck. Great experience!
fred jacksonThis was not the first pickup location I reserved. The first place I went no one answered the door. After about 20 mins the owner finally opened the door then he could not get logged in Uhaul system. On top of that trailers were off the gravel in mud and one was also off gravel which I may have been able to hook to. So I had to go to another Uhaul location which had bout 2” of water where trailers were parked. I was able to hook to it and get going after 2 1/2 hours. The first location on Cosby Hgy needs to close down. He is not able to dispatch anything. I was working by myself. Not being able to afford help and my wife is arthritic, my time is critical. I expect to pay for it hook to it and ROLL.
