The ratings I gave were for the pickup location ONLY, not UHaul, the company. This location was great, they were as helpful as they could be given the absurdness of UHaul itself. UHaul itself, the corporation - not the local pick up location, was the absolute worst company I have worked with in a long time. I made a reservation a month ago for a 17' truck and last minute I find out I can only get a 10' truck. The people I spoke with at the traffic department and customer service were absolutely useless, not to mention I got hungup on during transfers multiple times. I understand things change, but you CANNOT make these changes to someone last minute especially if they make the reservation a month in advance. A reservation is a reservation. I don't care about your fine print that says it's more of a request. That's an out so you can do stuff like this. I fully intend to pursue this matter further with state and federal consumer organizations. If someone reserves a truck far in advance, and you ACCEPT the reservation, you should not be able to cancel last minute. Especially since it is very difficult to find a replacement last minute. It's not like you are a rental car company (which if UHaul was, I am confident it would be out of business immediately).
Very friendly personal and willing to help. I was able to deliver the truck the day before without any problems. Great service.

I was not able to reserve the truck on line for more that i day. At Rent A Wreck it was done in a matter of minutes.
Staff (especially Sarah) were awesome and very nice!!
The truck I reserved was not available as an employee was using it. I was rented another truck. I returned 8 hours later. A regional manager called me claiming I had not returned the truck. I explained how I did return it the same day. He mentioned he did see it on the lot. He then called me back again questioning the miles driven in 6 hours and did I bring back a day late!! I feel I was unduly harassed by this man and will not use U-Haul again. Mike Dee
Mike was very pleasant and friendly. Made everything super easy.
Just a couple comments:
1) showed up one day during business hours, but door was locked, open sign was lit, no note - would have been helpful to know if i should wait or come back.
2) Very helpful person (Dave/Dan - afternoon guy - sorry can't remember your name!) with determining exactly what I should rent and my best options.
3) The van was excellent to drive - lots of inside room and we got almost everything in we wanted to take. I would have preferred a one-way rental though. really hated to drive that gas hog an extra 275 miles back.
4) original receipt for rental had the wrong mileage. I used the trip odometer so I knew we had put about 586 miles on it and we were charged for 616. I'm glad I checked the bill! I called and left a message regarding this and was promptly rebilled the correct mileage. thank you!
Remind people of potential parking restrictions for commercial vehicles. These are not always posted on city streets.
The uhaul associate Dan was very professional and provided outstanding customer service.
The owner of this location was combative and rude. So much so that we will be doing everything in our power to bring our business elsewhere. Apparently I was not able to pick up at the time indicated when I made the reservation but I did not know this and it made us late to an event we had which affect our customer. We use this service weekly and often and never had to give a credit card, but apparently we now do. All in all the service style of this owner was un called for. If this is your representative out in the world UHAUL, you should be ashamed.
The person we dealt with was rude, saying we didn't have a reservation when we did. The experience was not a pleasant one, even though it turned out okay. The van was well-marked and in good condition.
Don't send them to Riverside Ave!!!
This has nothing to do with the location. When you change the pick-up location, please say in the email (preferably in the subject line) "Note change of pick-up location." The confirmation email I received said simply "We have a Cargo Van reserved for you and guaranteed Monday, 6/1/2015 at 10:15 AM, returning Monday, 6/1/2015 at 2:15 PM." I didn't look carefully at the location because nothing indicated that it had been changed. As a result, I went to the pick-up location I was told when I made the reservation, then I had to drive to the other location, which took 35 minutes off the 4 hours we had for our move. It was a stressful day and that made it significantly more stressful, which was frustrating. It was out of the control of either location. This is a uhaul systems issue. You need to fix it if you want satisfied customers.
Dan was great! And made the timing work for me. In fact tomorrow my sister and brother in-law are renting a vehicle mostly because of how simple, positive and affordable my experience was. They'd planned to strap a mattress to the roof of their car and make many loads with personal vehicles.

I can't imagine any better or faster service. I booked this rental as we were driving to Burlington, picked up the van earlier than expected. The agent who assisted me was very helpful and took the time to explain details of a future rental need that we have. Awesome Experience! Many thanks. James Woodward
Have larger trucks. We would've rented a larger truck if it were an option. Also, the electric outlet in the truck I rented did not work, so I could not charge my phone which I was using for navigation.
The U-Haul web site was hard for the people there to use. Took a long time to get through the computer stuff
