No dolly or ramp (ramps don’t come w a ten ft truck but there was no dolly or option to get a dolly) dad fell out of the truck, he’s 70, he went to the hospital. Was charged 103 when I thought it was 20 plus gas per mile. The dude checking us in had no idea how to do it, lost our reservation, had to call his boss, walked half way to the truck, he didn’t have keys, went back to get keys, he did not us to the truck after getting the keys (not a big deal) but it shoulda been a 10 min thing and it took like 45 mins.. checked is in outside- not sure why, we went inside for keys, to sign paper, and buy boxes. Really upset overall, bad experience

Denise FFix the leak in the cargo bay roof. It was pouring in Jacksonville on move day. Many of my possessions and boxes suffered water damage as a result - "ponding" in mom's attic. This truck vibrated so much that mirrors went out of adjustment. Happy with the service; the truck, not so much.

After having driven 4 hours to get to Jax, another company (not U-Haul) cancelled my rental at the very last minute and barely even acknowledged the problem they created for me. They didn't even try to fix it. I called another UHaul office that didn't have anything available, they directed me to Solomons UHaul. I called to see if there was any chance I could rent a van for a quick move for my daughter into a storage unit. The staff was extremely helpful, even helping direct me as I was driving around to get to their U-Haul office. They didn't have a van available, but a small box truck was even better. The rental was ready, the process quick and efficient, and we got our job done in one trip and without delay. Would recommend to everyone needing a rental!!! Wonderful Experience!!!

William BWe had a truck reserved at our desired location and when we went to pick up the truck they said the truck we were supposed to get was not returned so we had to go to the Solomons location. The Solomons location was not convenient for us but we had to accept it. We were told by friends that UHaul gives a credit towards service when the reservation is not fullfilled. Please let me know if a refund is possible.

Kevin RThe gentleman that rented the truck told us it had a full tank. When we topped it off to return it we had to add 11 gallons for 37+ dollars. We only drive it 23 miles so it would seem it was not in fact full when we picked it up. Next time we’ll know to do a more thorough check and leave with documentation.

Andrew AI picked up the truck after hours and had ordered and paid for 4 utility dollies and 2 furniture dollies. There were NO dollies in the truck when I got there and the location was already closed. So I had to drive to another location to pick some up, but they only had two. The order was placed several days before pickup, the location had plenty of time to let me know if they didn’t have the equipment. But instead, they either chose not to communicate or just didn’t bother to look at the order. Either way, what should have been less than a 10 minute pickup process turned into an hour+ and extra miles on the truck that I wouldn’t have driven otherwise. If you want your order to be right, don’t use Solomon’s, they obviously don’t care.

Horrible experience which necessitated call to Corporate. 3 locations visited just to get blankets/dollies which caused delay with moving help. I will never recommend Uhaul to anyone as individual locations only care about you paying for truck, not ensuring you get what you need for total order or to make moving successful. Very disappointing system.
