This was the worst moving experience. The Location in which I picked up the truck was in a very bad part of town. The lady working at the location would have rather been anywhere else on the planet than helping me that day. I was given directions, “down the road“ to find my truck. When I got in boy was I disappointed! The windshield wipers are garbage, the steering wheel is completely cocked to the right due to misalignment. The truck was so shaky my arms were sore after driving for an hour. Multiple times on a hill the towing would engage without me pushing a button. This was by far the absolute worst moving experience of my life and I will never use your company again. This truck was garbage. No way it has been serviced in the last 6 months probably a year. Customer service is almost as good as your truck if that tells you anything. Customer beware!!!! You are taking your life in your own hands driving this poorly serviced equipment!!! Go to budget, hertz, Penske literally ANYONE other than UHAUL.

The location is does not have a parking lot and the store front appears unkept… The truck was clean but needs to be up to standard, has no backup signal which could put the driver at a disadvantage and also be extremely dangerous to anyone behind the vehicle….

I waited over two hours before I was able to leave with a truck. the lost time cost me in paying for my helpers and I was unable to load everything I needed to resulting in my having to leave before I was able to load fully. your inability to process my payment cost me big time. the problem was not in the location but with the system. the young lady assisting was very polite and professional
Robert B.There is a BRAKE & TRANSMISSION SYSTEM PROBLEM...I reported to the local office. Agent. His response was "maybe I hit the gas and brake at the same time?" I DIDNT..in heavy Miami traffic. 3 times the truck lurched forward while at a stoplight. Coming home shortly after exiting I 95 onto Lantana Rd...while drive approximately 30-35 mph the truck excellersted on it's own causing me to have to press hard on the brakes. There was no load the truck was empty I bought your $14 / day Insurance. Please forward a copy of the policy for my review. THIS TRUCK NEEDS A MECHANICAL INSPECTION... Michelle B.The mobile express application did not make the process any easier. The total time to leave with a vehicle was 35 minutes. It was obvious no one was aware of my reservation. The proprietor “Steve†was not there, but another lady in the office was able to help me. She struggled with the mobile app as well to get me checked in. The location for storing vehicles is non existent. The truck was parked 50 yards down the roadway. When I opened the back there was trash inside. The vehicle itself did the job and cannot complain about that. The location was biggest concern as there was only street parking and I was a bit concerned returning to my car being in one piece and not on blocks with my tires gone. This is just how I felt about things. I don't usually provide reviews but this location could use some help.

CHARLES W.I origionally reserved (3 weeks in advance) a 15" truck with Dr. Detail @ 103 S. Dixie Hwy in Lake Worth, FL. After going to this location 3X as well as calling Dr. Detail on the day of my reservation he did not show up nor has he returned my calls 4 days later. It is my understanding (from Moving Helpers & other dealers) this is a common occurrence w/ Dr Detail. Dr. Detail screwed me and I had to find another dealer in the area. Sparkle a few blocks away was able to assist and did a great job in doing so. Dr. Detail ought to have their franchise pulled as this location is giving UHaul a horrible reputation for it's affiliation to your company.

ANGELA W.the only thing I have an issue with is I made a reservation over the phone and made it for 17ft truck and I get there to the location and they didn't have the truck I needed which cost me time to get my stuff out by having to make a couple of trips. when your people are making reservation on the phone don't promise something you cant do, it put me in a really bad position. If it wasn't for the girl who was helping me at the location and calming me down I would have called corporate and raised 10 different kinds of hell her name is Michelle and she is amazing you should be thankful to have her rep your company.
Rockel V.While the customer service representative was wonderful, that was the only thing good about this location. It has no parking so it's not a good place to have someone drop me off. I had to cross a busy street and walk across an unmaintained right of way with high grass and barking dogs to get to the van which was parked next to the railroad tracks in a sketchy neighborhood. The van had not been cleaned; there were half drank water bottles in it and random trash and it smelled like cigarette smoke. No one accompanied me to get it and I had to take the sign out of the windshield. I asked to pick up the van from Boynton Beach at a location I have used before but you sent me to this out-of-the way location and I had to revise my travel plans to get there and drive extra miles. What can you do? Close down this location and use the Boynton Beach location when a returning customer asks for it.

VICTORIA D.I made a reservation the day before with Steve, presumably the owner. He said he'd be there at 9am. I was on a tight schedule. I showed up at 9 and he wasn't there. I called him 4 times during the next hour and finally got in touch with him around 10:15. He said people usually call him and he was eating breakfast. Wow! Anyhow, by the time I got the truck it was 10:30. I needed it for a day but returned it 3 hours later because he put me and my crew so far behind schedule, we had to change plans. Big waste of time and money. Terrible experience.

He was not knowledgeable about uhaul policies and was unable to navigate the input screen during the process of us getting our truck. dHe tried to charge us the deposit twice......$100 cash AND $100 on credit card along with the rental charge. This took quite a bit of discussion and caused a great deal of anxiousness before this was settled. When entering the credit card info he kept telling us that the card was invalid.......he was not entering the expiration date correctly. This process took over an hour just to pick up the truck!!! Would never! go to this site again.

Russel S.My reservation was at Crown up the street but since the owner was out sick, they sent us to Sparkle, where we waited patiently for 20 minutes for our turn. The 20' truck we signed up for belched smoke and stalled whenever the accelerator was engaged. We waited almost half an hour at the lot for the agent to return to the office, make out new paperwork, and return to the lot with it. In the end they gave us a bigger truck for the 20' price-- which was a lovely gesture and well-appreciated-- but our reservation was for 9 am and it was after 1030 am when we finally got on the road. Next time I'll try and reserve at a bigger Uhaul concession.
SUSAN C.We had equipment reserved at 1 location and they didnt have it available, so we had to ride to the next town to, pick up our equipment. That towns location was poorly marked for signage, hard to get in and out of and in a rough area of town. The clerk that assisted was not educated on equipment.

donnice M.To begin with, this location is not identified by any external U-Haul sign. I found the office only by asking someone on the street. Second, there was no identifying sign on the inside of the building either, I learned I was in the right location only by asking a man sitting behind a desk, who identified himself as the proprietor. This agency appears to be only one part of a series of unrelated businesses operated by the same person in the same location, including an apartment rental agency and a thrift shop. Third, the proprietor did not seem to have direct access to U-Haul's data base--he had to hand enter all over again the data I had previously supplied to U-Haul when I made the reservation--he apparently had no access to that information, only to a U-Haul website which he accessed over the Web on his own desktop computer. It took him 2 attempts to successfully enter the data and print out the rental agreement. Finally the rental traller was not avalable at the site--we had to travel to a storage yard a few blocks away to locate and hook up the trailer. It was the only rental vehicle in the lot. While the proprietor was courteous and affable, and the trailer turned out to be clean and in serviceable condition, and there were no mechanical problems with the trailer during my 1600 mile tow, the circumstances of the encounter with this agency did not inspire confidence in me that the all would go well on the trip. Instead, it caused me unnecessary concern.

JANNA L.There was no such location nor sign that indicated there was a Sparkle Car Center at the address indicated on the website. An "agent" was not at the location, when we arrived,at the appointed time, to pick up the trailer, that had been reserved.There was no parking available, except in the street. As a result, I had to call the absent agent to determine where the trailer might be. He wanted me to wait until he returned "from the airport", which was unsatisfactory. After getting instructions from the agent, I then had to find where the trailer was, which was three blocks away in a remote lot behind a strip center. As noone was presnt to assist me, I had to hook the trailer up myself, and discovered that the wiring connection for the brake lights was inoperable, for an over 250 mile trip. All of this was in a less than desirable part of town.This location needs to be eliminated!
