I didn't like that the $19.99 truck didn't have a ramp on the back nor was I notified that there wasn't one during my rental agreement process. Otherwise everything else was great.
We booked a truck for 24 hours. When we showed up the truck was not available. The location manager said the truck was running late, which we understand. We waited. When the truck returned, we told that it was only booked for a 5 hour rental. This is not was he had spoke to reservations about. The manager said that if we didn't bring the truck back we could be charger a reservation bump fee which she said could be anywhere from $20 to several thousand depending on the cost of the rental that we would end up bumping. The manager was very upset because there were multiple customers in there complaining about similar issues. I understand that the reservation desk made a mistake but that mistake ended up messing up all our moving plans and we had to come back another day and get a different truck which meant it ended up costing us more money because we were not out on time NOT ACCEPTABLE! I have not received a call from anyone regarding this matter nor did I receive a refund that that manager said I would get. The manager was doing her best at accommodating us but her hands were tied. NOT a good way to treat your customers and you are setting your staff up for failure. I expect to be contacted ASAP!

Great service, friendly staff
Vehicle had built up dirt on the inside of the windshield. The dolly wasn't the type I reserved. Representative didn't do a walk with me around the vehicle. Lock on rear folding door didn't work properly. It kept sticking. Vehicle sounded like it had an exhaust leak. The only good part of the experience was the gentleman that checked me in.
I was advised that when I drop off truck that I'd be responsible for any damage that occurred due to the truck being exposed from their parking lot. A customer should not be the companies security guard. Hire your own security to protect your trucks or change your drop off policy.
This experience was horrible. I was first told I could get a 26 truck. I reserved it a few days in advance. Then I got a call from uhal and the said they only had a 20 truck. I accepted it and scheduled my movers. Then I got a call 48 hours from the move and they said they only had a 17 foot truck 15 miles from my house. I said that wasn't big enough so they offered me a trailer for the truck. I accepted that but asked to guarantee to have it there. They said it would. When I got there on my morning to move. They had the truck but no trailer. They had to send me to another store for the trailer. This was a horrible experience. Made a hard move even harder and cost me more money with my movers. I didn't finish until after midnight.
I really liked the quick drop off and the hand held no paperwork check out .
Not enough people renting your trucks when it is busy. The time your rental time should start when you sign the contract. Everybody was very nice and very helpful. Thank you.
The question should be, "Were the personnel helpful?" Personnel is plural.
I was nver told about the extra charge of $1.21 for the weekend. Imangine my surprise when i got the receipt and seen the extra amount. I have used you guys for a long time.....I WILL NEVER USE U HAUL EVER AGAIN.. very dissatified.

The General Manager, John, was very helpful. The rest of the staff seemed unfriendly and undertrained.
i originally requested a location at 2220 Kausen Dr, Elk Grove, CA 95758. I stopped by that location and they were rude, it was dirty, they were unprofessional.
I was sent to this florin location which was a huge inconvenience. It would have been nice if they would have let me return the truck to a closer location.
I requested a furniture dolly. But they didn't have any in stock? Sure I could buy one for $19.00 which I had to do...but with as large of a location as the Florin Rd store...there should be no excuse not to have a furniture dolly. And if they did not! They should have used their consumer dolly and converted it to a rental dolly. That would have been customer service.
Next time I will go out of my way to use a different rental company.
This location was PACKED. I had an 8:30am appointment, arrived at 8:25am and wasn't even helped until 9:35am. The manager was nice but the only other associate there was absolutely horrible. Way too quiet and didn't explain or elaborate on ANYTHING! I received a call from the manager late at night the following day and he apologized for being short staffed and took $25 off of my bill. Overall I would never suggest anyone to go to this location!
I booked my truck online to be picked up at the Stockton Blvd. location - Everything was good to go until I got there and they did not have a truck, they then informed me uhaul had moved my reservation to Florin rd. Although it was not far, it was completely out of the way of where I was going, had I known the truck was not available I would have picked another location. When booking online the system obviously knows the truck is not there - get a pop up that says to chose a different location. When I got the truck it barely had 1/4 of a tank of gas, like I had not been delayed enough going to the wrong location, now I had to get gas too. I agree with returning the truck with the gas you received, but come on - why don't you just fill them up and make them return full? Very disappointed in my truck renting experience.
I had an 8:00 am Appointment along with several others. Therefore we waited for 1 1/2 hours before being helped. Later I requested another truck and Jennie was very helpful.

I would not recommend this location to anybody. The leasing agent was very rude and not helpful at all. She was very unprofessional. I don't understand how she got through the interview. She was very nice with the customer before me, maybe because I'm Asian. It was the worst customer service I have ever experience.
Aside from the fact that the brakes went out on the truck while we were moving causing us to almost get into an accident and die, prolonging our moving for 5 extra days, and still being charged for a second day, even tho the brakes going out left the truck inoperable to the point that it was towed away, leaving us stranded by the side of the road at 11 o'clock at night. Then getting calls, from the rental facility, the next day asking where the truck is.
Having to pay people extra money to put my belongings back inside the house because the truck had broken down. Having to wait for 3 days until a truck was available to replace the truck that broke down, and pay for that truck too, just so U-Haul wouldn't have to assist us in moving our belongings by providing us with some laborers, and having to drive 30 miles to go get the truck adding 60 more miles to the milage bill, which also meant I needed a ride to go get the truck clear across town, wasting even more of our time and gas.
Having to pay an extra $50 a day rent on the house that we are moving out of until we are finally fully are moved out, causing us to need to use the truck 3 or 4 extra days on top of the 2 we have already needed the new truck because the 1st truck broke down. Making it so my wife and I have to move a 5 bedroom house by ourselves because it was a holiday weekend and our hired help were only available for the 3 days we booked them for and were unavailable after those days, and being that I am disabled and can not lift anything over 10 lbs. makes it really stressful for my wife to have to deal with loading and unloading everything pretty much by herself. combined with the stress of almost dying, which would have left our 3 children ORPHANS, a few days before due to the faulty brakes!
Having left numerous message across the board, with U-Haul, talking to countless customer service reps. writing e-mail after e-mail, we haven't even heard so much as a "are guys alright?" or not even the night of the brake failure did they bother to ask us if we were in a safe location off the highway or anything remorseful at all, just the same BS of sorry to hear the truck broke down. Seems all they care about is their truck and payments!!!

Lower the cost of miles driven and get an accurate account of how much fuel is actually in the vehicle upon return as I was charged for fuel when I return it with the same if not more gas in the vehicle.
Excellent service. Better than the service on Elk Grove Calvin Sacto/Elk Grove, who were nice when came in and rude when we left. Jack up price and moving is stressful enough. Florin Rd location was excellent.
I had reserved two pieces of equipment and only one piece was available... even though I called before I left home to be sure it was there and was told it was all ready for me. UHaul changed my pickup location numerous times and I ended up driving to different locations on different days to get the equipment.
My shueld Tue ..reservation. Cost me a day. Off work.. And John weber ..never put my $50. Promise.on my account. On wensday..on wensday..he said he never did the transactions before.. And would find out for me ...later and apply it to my confirmation... And never did....I need Corporate to be notified.. That this was not fair..at all..I want to be confasated..
Hire more staff not enough counter staff.

Employee Tania Washington was very rude and her behavior was not customer friendly. She rudely interrupted the conversation me and another representative were having, on multiple occasions. She insulted me and was very inappropriate. I will not be returning to this location and seriously reconsidering the business I have with UHAUL in the future.
First time renting a truck. Quick and easy experience. Will definitely refer friends and family.
The fact that the 5'×10' trailer was the same price online as the 6'×12' is ridiculous. When I asked for a price break because there is no reason why I should pay for a smaller trailer at the largest trailers price, the manager told me "This is Uhaul, what do you expect? There are no price breaks." First off, this is unacceptable customer service, secondly this is common sense, and after I pointed this out, he reluctantly decided to give me $4 off. Not the best experience. The trailer we got ended up being damaged, and one of the tires was completely bald and had 0mm left on the tread. This is not only dangerous, but if it were on a passenger vehicle, it would be illegal.
I specifically asked the man to charge only the card we were paying with at drop off he assured me he did but did not so I had to call and ask for another person to look into it and make the necessary corrections.
This was the MOST HORRIBLE experience I have ever had! Day 1:
Rented 24' truck, received 26' truck. Luckily caught the price discrepancy, had it adjusted, drove 2 blocks and the truck broke down. Spent all day dealing with roadside assistance, was hung up on by U haul manager when I called to try and make sure that I would not be charged anything. Ok so day 1 wasted, on to day 2: still no 24' truck available even though this is what we had a reservation for. We pick up a 26' truck and the 'low coolant' light comes on, knowing that they've already said they Shi not have another truck and if we call roadside assistance it will waste another whole day (and cost me additional prorated charges for delaying the move AGAIN) we're forced to go buy antifreeze assigns figure out the damn truck. Then we end up having to offload all off my belongings into a pickup truck tho even get into the apartment complex because the 26' truck is just too big to get in there. After yelling Uhaul all of this they still charged me the additional $20 for going over on my mileage even after having to buy them antifreeze. I will NEVER use U haul again. I guess next time it's Budget or Penske for us!

The guy who helped me was very nice. He was patient and spent a lot of time searching for a tow dolly for me that I should have served before going in. He kept apologizing, though I felt it was my fault for doing it last minute. He even gave the online discount. So kind.
Driving west, you cannot simply turn left into the location. You have to make a U-turn, which can be hard and not efficient for a big Uhaul. Besides that, simple drop off directions.
The movers were excellent. Garry and Junior did a great job and took very good care of all of our valued possessions during our move. I will use Safe Moving again for our next move.
Staff unfriendly/unhelpful when I was on site w/?`s. Rarely acknwldge my presence. Rarely gvn str8 ans, often need to ask my ?`s in stern voice to be taken seriously.
We were promised a truck in Davis and instead had to go to Sacramento to get it. With distance and traffic it added 1.5 hours to our day. VERY unhappy about that.
. A large cardboard box was found in the truck cabin when I first got it at the u-haul location, which I had to dispose of. The truck should be empty.
. We had an issue that is still bothering me A LOT. The truck was supposed to have a 1/4 tank of gas (and such was described in the initial paperwork I received), but turns out gas was stolen from the tank while the trunk was parked at the uhaul location overnight and new paperwork had to be filled, for the tank was almost empty (1/16). I was told to return the truck with 1/4 gas tank (rather than 1/16) and I'd get a $50 fuel discount - which has not happened yet, despite calling the consumer service et cetera.
This location was also a great drop off location. I received excellent customer service. I was in and out and I received my receipt in a timely manner. Fast, Friendly, and Great. Thank you!

The staff was friendly and especially helpful. Shanda personally walked me to storage site which displayed courteous customer service. The young lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable of her job and also displayed excellent customer service. I was glad I went there.

I originally reserved a 20 ft truck. When arrived to pick up they had given away because we were late. I was not aware there was a time limit to pick-up truck and wasnt worried about it because i had given my cc info to secure the reservation which I assumed they would charge if i hadnt picked up. We were sent to another location for a 17 ft truck. They didnt have one. We ended up with a 15 ft and a trailer. Not happy, will use someone else in the future.

Worst experience ever. I had a very unpleasant experience, the 2nd time with u-haul.
The overall experience was smooth and the price was reasonable. Also, hiring moving help was a good decision that helped tremendously.
I have nothing but complements to the overall service and support of the Sacramento Florin rd. site.
The Services was great, and the Staff was very helpful, I would recommend this U=haul to a friend.
Lights were not working on the first trailer we hooked up and the attendant failed to tighten the hitch on the second one which caused the trailer to come loose and cause damage to the tow vehicle. Claim filed
I had to wait about 15 mins for service but overall good customer service. Thank you
The Governor, which controls the maximum speed on the truck, was set at 75. Very frustrating to be driving for 100's of miles in Utah and Wyoming where the posted limit is 80 MPH. I'be been reading stories of other Governors set at 68! Be sure to inquire before renting so you know what you're getting.

Manager of location and his staff appear to be very incompetent when it comes to check ins and check outs. Store seems to be under staffed and mis managed when it comes to delegation of staff. I mentioned this to the manager and he was very smug in his answer.. Better customer service and management would help. We use this location twice a month and this has been our experience for the past 6 months at least.

Even though our reservation was for the very next day, this location was very accommodating. They had everything needed for our move, and were courteous and professional. This is not my first time renting from this location and it won't be my last! Thanks so much!!

I would have bought a hitch and wiring adapter there if they had been available. Also I had to sweep out trailer before use.
Rude counter person and yelling at customer over the phone???? I asked for late return and one guy said okay with one day extra charge and they will find another truck for the other customer. then 1 hour later, other guy screamming at me and demanding to return the truck with late fee. It was talking to wall and completly pointess of what customer is going to say..... Horrible experience i ever had in my life.

The employees were dressed sloppily. The African American woman at the register had me check the truck out by myself and asked me to write in the gas and mileage, thought that was strange. Now I look at my final contract and see I was charged 28 for the 14 dollar safe move. I returned the keys at 5:19pm on 7/19, the place was unexpectedly closed, so I dropped the keys in the drop box. My scheduled return time was 5:30pm. On the contract it shows that I returned the truck at 7:06am on 7/20. I believe this is why I was erroneously charged an extra 40 dollars. The truck sounded like it was going to fall a part on me while I was driving. Just an over all terrible experience and I will be calling to get the excess money Uhaul charged back. I do not recommend this location nor their incompetent employees.
I rented a trailer at 3:05 and returned it at 4:50. I was charged for another day. A grace period or end of day would have been nice so I didn't have to pay for an extra day.
John, the manager, was cool and calm as the store filled with customers - He had some issues with his equipment, which kept him from renting it; however, he was able to meet my needs -
Everything was normal - except they overcharged us for 6 furniture dollies when we only ordered 1 dolly

Utility and cabin lighting did not work, gas gauge hopped all over the place naking it difficult to get an accurate reading. Lock on truck continued to stick making it very difficult to unlock..
Customer Service needs to be more friendlier. The employee which had pink hair that checked when we return the rental was rude & not freindly at all.. She needs more training on being freindly. Seems like she don't want to be there & us customers don't want to see employees acting that way.
Lack of 5x8 available spaces, extreme overcharging of rent and required insurance to the tune of almost $90.00 per month I have since moved to another company`s 5x8 space for only $48.00 per month!

Extremely long wait (over an hour), only to find out that reserved vehicle was not available due to a service issue, and that the issue had been known about by UHaul staff almost three hours in advance of the scheduled pickup time. However, no contact was attempted to advise us that reserved vehicle was unavailable or would be delayed, resulting is having to postpone our moving day and reschedule movers on both ends of move.
Customer service needs a little improvements but not that bad.
I have nothing bad to say at all. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The manager has worked with us and I am thankful for that. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Needs better communication between phone reservations and location offices. I called the number listed for the Florin location but the employee at the counter insisted that those calls are not received by the office staff, they are answered from another location. Employees should also refrain from complaining openly in front of customers. Vehicles should be more thoroughly inspected as the vehicle I was given had a lot of undocumented damage. Reservation conflicts should be resolved between location staff and phone dispatchers. The burden of trying to clear up a reservation error made by the company should not be placed on the customer.
The customer service satisfaction level went beyond excellent for me. Due to an unexpected emergency, I was unable to return the Uhaul vehicle back in on scheduled time, however, I was given the respect and understanding for additional time needed to complete the use of my rental. For this, I am very grateful and appreciate all the courtesy afforded to me from the gentlemen that helped me there from start to finish. KUDOS UHAUL!!!!
Repair equipment before renting out. The truck I was given had a broken sun visor that was lying on the dashboard, & the passenger side interior door handle was broken lying on the floor.
It would have been nice to pick up the vehicle at the site requested. In stead I was sent around to four different sites and my 8:00 am pick-up ended up being a pick-up at Florin Road almost 12 hour later. The staff was very professional at Florin Road, very under staffed, but new what they were doing.
Despite my reservation both online and over the phone for a 4x8 trailer, when I arrived I was told they 'double booked' and my trailer was not available. Had to go to a larger size. One of the lights on the trailer was not functioning. Despite the above, I think the price was very reasonable and I would rent from this facility again.
Customer service is very good and would like too see more sites like this one. They can model this location for all locations too come. Very good staff also.
Overall a great experience. Good service along with excellent equipment. Though I hate moving; this made the experience much better.
I requested a pick-up location that was 30 miles from the one assigned. Because of traffic it took me over 2 hours to go pick up the U-haul and return to my house. Most rental car agencies will drive the requested vehicle to locations where they are needed. Why can't you do this?

There was no ramp. This made it very difficult to unload a heavy piece of furniture. Also, the visor on the driver's side was broken. The customer service was very good, however.
UHaul personel very good at both occasions. Will rent trailer soon again.
Only two people working, only one of which actually knew what to do. The system was down and what should have taken ten minutes took one hour. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful but that didn't make up for the time spent there. Would recommend if they had more staff available.
Originally-requested pickup location did not have equipment until mid-morning (and the reservation was made 10-days in advance), so I shifted to alternate - less convenient - location. Other than this relatively minor issue, the 600-mile trip was perfect: U-Haul representatives were helpful and polite, and the equipment (15-foot van and auto trailer) worked perfectly.
The storage unite was broken. I was not able to get there until now. We did lose belongings and also had to pay for a locksmith to remove the lock that was on our unit. I was not mailed the key.
Reservation from florin was canceled by Laguna u haul. Had to use two trucks. Still have not received my refund. Spent way more on gas and labor for this mistake than I could afford. Still deciding if I want to persue in small claims court. Manager at florin location was great but I'm still waiting for my $80 plus credit.
One of the better locations I've used.
Hire more staff. The line was long, and there were only two people working the desks. When they had to show customers their trucks, they had to leave, and in order to keep the line moving, they then had to neglect those who were checking examining the cars and recording damages.
Check in/out was perfect. The WHOLE staff was professional as always.
And they were B U S Y.
Add more staff for early checkout. 7 am there were 2 workers and 5 people cking out. Staff is great though and multi tasked.
The only thing I should say about the experience is there was only one associated helping the customers that we waiting ( there were 5 when I was there) for their turn from one employee. IT was hard on that employee to keep the customers waiting. Many trucks came in at the same time and she was having to check them in and others out by herself. She was very pleasant but I am certain a bit overwhelmed.

I can canceled my storage several times and you keep trying to charge me. the manager SUCKS , told me he would call me back several times and never did. We will never use that uhaul again
I was given a truck on a fourth of gas and was told to put $10 in to get it back there I put $12 in and was still charged for gas

I didn`t receive a bill for the second month, but a warning that my paymnet was overdue and I had to pay a penalty. Phone calls went to corporate, and my message never got through to local dealer.

Zoey waited on me, balancing two people at once as she provided excellent customer service. However, because the storage spaces are outdoors, your belongings get really dirty.
Unacceptable - There is no tracking system to monitor the progress as the boxes are shipped.
Annoying - Boxes bolted shut for transport and staff neglected to remove them before delivery.
The lady didn`t tell me she gave me a one way Uhaul truck so it was harder to drop off at a different location.
The manager and staff are compleatly rude and aggressive. They make you feel like they will move or damage your things in storing if you do not make them feel like your beneath them.
The manager is rude and the employes are ever worse I would never recommend them to anyone. Worst experience ever.

Great customer service at Florin UHaul by all staff. They were very busy with only one person working the front desk but still managed to greet customers walking through door and apologized for wait.

Spaces were tight w/ minimal dust bugs, but no lighting inside them.
Your prices are very expensive on the storage units.a 5x10 is not big enough .but i got the next size which i have to pay more money. $109 a month is way to much

This U-Haul location was the best in customer service, knowledge of products, and efficiency. Laronda went above and beyond to help us deal with a mistake that another U-Haul location had made.

When I reserved this space, the call center said it was 16 miles from my location, it was 33 miles! It cost alot extra to drive the truck there and back.
The Management was very bad,no people skills!Gave bad info,could not fix a very simple problem which cost me lost time an money!

When returning the vehicle we tested the lights, checked the mileage and fuel levels and was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Excellent service and very convenient.
I had two relatively minor issues here.My pass card didn`t work well at the readers and even though I checked out of my unit 7 days early I wasn`t offered a reimbursement.
could have better lighting but other than that i was very happy and would use them again

Key cards didn`t work well. Had to pay $45.00 dumpster fee and also charged for pads that we plan to leave at our destination in Bozeman, MT. U-Haul in Rancho Cordova much more helpful.

I was in and out, everyone was friendly and helpful.
As good as the facility was, the staff that helped out was much better. Moving is`nt a pleasurable experience, but the staff there helped the situation.
We`ve been overwhelmingly happy with our experience here. The staff has always been helpful professional when we`ve needed them. I`D recommend them at every opportunity. GREAT JOB!

I am only rating it poor, because my card was charged 70 dollars more than what it was supposed to be charged for a one day rental that was returned with 2 hours.

Positive experience. Nothing fancy but it worked for my needs.
You only had 1 hardworking employee manning the counter and 1 hardworking employee preparing the vehicles. You need at least 1 more employee at the counter.
our cards to get into the gate didnt work when we went to get something at 1 am....staff the next day gave us new ones.

I was overcharged by about $425.00. I never received copies of the charges, or the contracts. I only saw debits on my card yesterday and today.

Storage was great. i had no problems, but their should be a gulf cart set up for the amazing storage guy, it seemed that he had to walk around a lot and a cart would help him and the store out a lot.

Checking in was quick and easy most of all affordable. The attendant was very informative helping me to chose U-Haul over other facilities I was considering.

Vacating storage needs to explained up front! I vacated on the 5th but had to pay for the whole month! Should be prorated.
The lighting in the storage area is not good. An old lady that just left out of u-haul store was knocked down and purse stolen.
