More parking should be available for customers getting trucks on the side of building where employees park not just in front of building.
Not send me to the ghetto and have me drop off at a more ideal location.
There were two U-Haul locations that I selected on the website, both were within 5 miles of my home. The field coordinator selected a location that was 20 miles away from me. Not only did I have to drive 1700 miles round trip to Maine, I had to drive 40 round trip to obtain and return the trailer. Not to mention, the location was in the inner city of Buffalo, not a safe location at all.
Very polite staff. They answered all of our questions.

The van I rented stunk of cigar smoke. It was disgusting. I thought I should have gotten a discount. I also think there should be a no smoking policy.
Terrance, helped with the trailer and was friendly and helpful. Seemed to really enjoy his work.
I can't think of any at this time. Everything was on point as far as I'm concerned. There was excellent service, THAN YOU!
HAVE THE EQUIPMENT WHERE THEY CAN GET TO IT WITHOUT BEING SO FAR AWAY... WHERE I ORDERED IT FROM.
I never reserve online because I want to know where I'm picking up the equipment I want to be close to where I need it so I always call the store directIy. The store I called said they had the equipment but on my trip the location got changed and I had to go well out of my way to pick it up. Not happy. Lost alot of time.
Overall experience was very good. Neighborhood is borderline sketchy, but facility had good visibility and appears safe. Service techs were friendly and helpful.
Everything was perfect and very respectable
Check the mileage carefully. Our contract listed one vehicle but they pulled out a different vehicle with 20,000 plus more miles on the gage. Would have had a heck of a time returning the vehicle in another state had we not checked. Small print on the contract was difficult to read but you really need to do it! Also, to begin, actually, we reserved a truck 2 weeks prior to the date we needed it, received a text the day before the scheduled pick up to say we needed to go to another location 15 miles further away. This was very inconvenient as we made an effort to pick a location which was why we chose U-Haul. The price was the same as the competition (Penske), so maybe we should go with the competition the next time!.

1- truck was not at expected location (location I reserved online). I did receive a text message, but none told me location changed.
2 - Truck was a piece of JUNK. It 'rattled' so bad that you get sick trying to look in side mirror.
the staff was awsome!! Very friendly and had a great sense of humor. This also includes the guy that did the post rental inspection.was originally renting from another uhaul location but there was a last minute change and this location was very accomidating and alot friendlier than the original location i was going to rent from.
I was very impressed with the personnel at this location. They were very attentive to my needs and were very courtreous.
Allow the option to change spin-off locations. This one was really out of the way from our hotel. I probably won't prearranged on the next rental. You also need an option to refund the "extra" coverages if not used.

Your service was deplorable - but it was not the fault of this location. My reservation was for the Transit Road location (reservation # 23497158). When I arrived they informed me that I was "late," that the reservation location had changed, and my vehicle had been rented out. I spoke with three other individuals who all informed me the same thing, and that no other vehicle was available. I then went to the Genesee location and discovered that the vehicle actually was available. Seems you kept the reservation after all, but three of your personnel did not realize this. One of them was rude and hung up on me. I had a message into your service manager who never returned my phone call. So, I guess that you having my credit card number, me having a reservation number, and a location for pick up do not constitute a reservation contract. Seems somewhat faudulent to me. You need to 1) understand the concept of a reservation and 2) train your personnel how to use your computer system. Maybe a live human being to answer your phone could help.
I will not be using U-Haul at this location , because of the way the clerk treated me when I was 1 hour late in picking up truck rental . His tone of voice tor a customer should had never been use.
Dont book reservation soo close together. My truck was due back at 6pm & when I called to see if I could extend my time an extra hour, they told me I couldn't because someone had it reserved for 6:30pm. But unexpected things occur and can cause a person to be late, making the next persons reservation to be behind.
I thought my reservation was for Hopkins St and it ended up my truck was at the Genes see Uhaul.I talked to someone on the phone and they didn't tell me.They showed me the confirmation email and it did say Genes see but you should verify where the pickup store is cuz I missed it on the emsil

I did not appreciate homeless people living where my storage was I didn`t feel safe I would not recommend this facility to anyone the storage place had a bad smell to get at time.
Management team at this location since was professional. You might want to consider having more than 2 sets of moveable stairs. if the 2 are in use you will be unable to access an upper unit.

I spoke with Chris at the U-Haul location several times. He was helpful, responsive and professional.
The staff at this U-Haul location were probably the best I encountered during my whole recent ordeal. My treatment....rather 'mistreatment'....by the personnel at the Albany/Colonie location has led me to never, EVER rent from U-Haul again
I booked a 17' truck at a different location (380 Connecticut Ave.) for 14:30 EDT. I had to go to the Genesee location after waiting 90 minutes at the Connecticut location. While walking 3 blocks back to my home the Genesee location left a voice mail saying that my reservation will be canceled within 10 min of leaving the Connecticut location. Once there at the Genesee location I had to accept the extra millage to drive your truck to my old apt and new house which was in the opposite direction. This truck didn't have the Uhall logo on the side because it would represent your company poorly. I've made arrangements with Penske to use them next week because of this experience......
The truck battery died after we got the truck lpsded. Had to wait over one hour for road side assistance.
Your helpers were more than 2 1/2 hrs
I will not rent from this location again. An associate Craig, gave a truck that was schedule to go ppb a one way when I told him I wanted the truck for two days. He told me there was another truck available by phone but when I came in to exchange the truck he told me someone must have lied to get me in and there were no trucks. I was left stranded looking for another way back. There were problems the entire time which costed me tone and money during a move. Pick a better location.
Although the location was out of our way, I asked the person why and he explained to me that this truck was needed by someone else from this location. This was good enough for me. Thanks for your help.
Guy tried charging me more and hiding why he was charging me more. He kept telling me my wife was wrong. The Uhaul leaked so bad all our camping gear was wet and some food was unusable. My kids tent was soaked and they couldn't use it that night we arrived which caused us to have to rent a cabin. Our stereo and camp TV also got soaked. I took pictures so everyone can see. When we returned the Uhaul we told him about it all and he said he will look into it. Very unprofessional And we still haven't heard anything yet!??????
They got my reservation wrong 3 times! Called me @ 7:15am, the truck was supposed to be returned at 7:30 pm.

I had reserved two boxes in Buffalo but only received one. My box arrived two days later than date committed in California. Will not recommend to anyone.
The prices, availability, and access were not the same when i went into the office. I was frustrated and extremely disappointed. I now have to searchc for another storage facility.
It was a Saturday and every customer (about 8 of us) had reserved their rental but there was only one clerk, who was very efficient, but we had almost a 45 min wait. Not good. We rented a 4x8 trailer and it wasn't clean, had dirt in it.
we had a very nice trip and your motorcycle trailer handled well. However, the trailer ramp was at too steep of an angle and my bike got hung up on it. I had to find a suitable grade to park on to get the right angle. Other than that, it worked well. Your light cord was put in your drop box last night when I returned the trailer. I wish I knew the young man's name who handled the reservation. He was awesome! And the lady there who moved the trucks was too. They were both very personable & customer friendly!!
I specifically asked for a 6' wide trailer to allow for a lawn mower which was slightly over 5' to be driven onto the trailer for transport. The trailer is 6'wide but the rear drop down ramp and width of opening at the rear is only 58" too narrow for my lawnmower to fit. So after wasting 3 hours travel to and from with endless calls to rectify the issue from various locations. I ended up not being able to use the trailer. cost me over $150 with gas, cost of rental, and labor needless to say I am not happy with Uhaul service
My reservation was for main st location - your company made me go out of my way to get my vehicle from your location and it made me late. U-hauls fault, not this location.
We reserved a 17 foot truck for a move across several states. We reserved movers through U-haul. We got a call the day before saying that they did not have the truck at that location and sent us another location. When we went to that location the truck was not there. We were then sent here. This location also did not have the 17 foot truck we reserved and instead said the only thing they had available was a 14 (maybe 15?) foot truck. In a bind, we were forced to take this truck and try to make it work. We were not able to fit our belongings in this truck as there were no 17 foot trucks available anywhere in Buffalo. The man we worked with at this location LIED and put into the notes that we CHOSE to downgrade. When our belongings did not fit (as predicted) we called the U-haul 1-800 number we were told that the only truck large enough was a 26 foot truck which we had to travel 35 minutes to pick up. However, we were also told that we could not have that truck at the cost of the smaller truck because of the note left in the computer. The entire experience was unacceptable and wildly unprofessional. While we have used U-haul in all of our moves over the past 10 years (8 different moves) we will no longer be using U-haul. Because we moved our belongings into storage until we can move into our new home in September, we will need a truck again in a few months. For this move we will be using a competitor because of the lack of professionalism and unacceptable treatment we have received from U-haul.
I reserved a truck by phone, never picked up truck location allowed another person to use my reservation and sign out truck with my email and credit card attached, never charged card but it's the principle of the service that the person who signed out truck should have used his own email and my credit card should not have been attached to nothing, I would never use this location again.
Meet all my expectations.
To clarify, i did the self delivery, but when I went to pick up the box, the site had me scheduled for the wrong date, even though I showed them my confirmation email. they had to send me to another site, which really put a wrench in the moving process. The staff at each location is helpless.
Have more that one associate at the counter taking care of customers. I had to wait for a period of time that it was unnecessary due to lack of personnel.
I reserved my 10-foot truck for 10am-4pm. I arrived right at 10am, and waited in line for 45 minutes. So I lost some time there. Then, when I worked with the agent behind the desk, he told me that I could only have the truck until 3:30pm at the latest. When I told him I had reserved it until 4pm, he basically told me there was nothing he could do. So, I ended up losing an hour and 15 minutes. Thankfully, my move was quicker than expected, but still, that was a bad experience. You also charged me $8.00 for gas. And I know I was a tiny bit low, but I was not 2 gallons low. Especially after the long wait and the shortened rental time, this just felt really wrong. I will be looking into a different company for my next move, and will not be recomending this location or uhaul generally to family and friends.

directions given on the website were incorrect. directions took me to a location that did not exist. I then had to call customer service was on hold for over 15 mins to figure out the correct directions. very disgusted at that point. barely made it to correct location before they closed. was not very happy at that point. plus the location was quite far from my home.

The main st. location is crazy weak. I wish I had gone to Genesee first. You need to improve main st.!
U haul broke down. Took 2 hours to get moving. Had to pay movers extra for time. And extra fuel cost could not shit off truck.

The biggest problem I had was finding direct phone numbers to the people who knew how to answer questions about my U-box reservation. I used U-haul after a last minute cancellation by another moving company. I was able to get everything I need from U-haul, including moving help, scheduled for the very next day.
The workers were arguing in front of me! The one guy who's been there for 8 years tells me to "go find" one of his workers to help argosy me with my trailer rental because he was getting backed up but "he" was the one that took my information! I told this gentleman that " I will not and that I expect to get serviced since I am a paying customer". He got am attitude and stormed off. When e'mailing confirmation to customers please include name-address of store along with equipment type that is being rented...just to remind a forgetful customer...thank you for being there when we needed you!
too busy and I waited outside for a service rep for close to 30 minutes and no-one came to help me w/one way drop off.
The trailer did not have places to hook a ratchet strap to.
The frost return address was wrong and cause us to go over our miles because we had to find another location to return the truck.
the truck we had .had the service engine ligt on.and brakes were terrible.also the people called ud to tell us they needed truck back by 5pm and we told them we needed the truck for 2 days.dont understand if u rent truck for 11am thats when i should have to bring it back not 5pm .but would use uhaul again good service

I was charged $48 for gas when I returned the truck back with the same amount of gas as when I rented it! some of my furniture was water damaged after being in one of your storage units.
At check-in I had to purchase a new lock because only 1 type was allowed. This was not indicated anywhere when making the reservation - classic bait and switch. I cannot recommend this location.

No complaints. If rates were cheaper I would have kept unit but $80 a month for such a small space no longer made sense.

There is a rat problem at this location. There are now chew marks on an antique table of mine and there was rat excrement inside of my storage unit.

The times that I was able to access my unit has no reflect on the staff at that location. This was also based on the fact that I had a smaller unit.
I purchased the truck for a Sunday 10am -10pm however I was never informed ahead of time that the facility closed at 5.

I had no complaints and it was a pleasant experience.
Even though Jason W. was a younger person in a busy store he was very knowledgeable. He got busy but never ignored me and even offered me the promotion deal with my storage unit.
Needed the space for 6 days but still had to pay by the month.UHAUL SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION PRORATING FEES.I DID FIND OUT THAT OTHER PLACES HAVE MORE SPACE AND ARE LESS IN PRICE.
The staff were rude, there were rat feces in all of my boxes. Some of my boxes looked like they made a home in them. The place is DISGUSTING!!! Maybe use U-Haul again but never this location.
The storage hallways were very narrow. I was not able to fit my sofa in the unit due to it being so narrow.

Found ALOT of mice crap on our items- not happy. Also a strong bad smell. Staff was always confused on what to do when i tried to pay for two units.
Last agent at time of rental close out. The agent had her son was talking on her cellphone. When I asked for assistance the agent popped her lips and was very rude.

You can take your rental area and your 200 character limit and shove them up your ass. If you want my opinion then don`t limit my frustrations to 200 characters.
