The truck had two tires that were almost bald. It had no right front turn signal. It had over sixty x's showing damage. It was the only truck of that size so I took it. We made it to the destination because a local police officer let me continue without the turn signal.

I was double charged for the rental fee (~$20). If I wouldn't have been paying close attention, I would've never noticed. Disappointing, but when I called the location about it, they resolved the problem quickly.
Awesome service! The truck that I needed came back late from a customer but the guys were so on it the re arranged some things and I was in a truck and on my way not to long after!!! Heat service!
The GM of the location, I believe his name was Jason was very professional and courteous. Working as a customer service rep for the company, I was glad to see that we had such a well maintained, and friendly store here in my area.
Clerk inside need to be retrained, while the clerk outside waa exceptional.
I did not find out until 1 day before pickup that van would not be available until noon.

The guy who helped me at the shop was great. I don't remember his name, but he was very nice and helpful.
unfortunately for me I booked through your webpage, which in turn only gave me the vehicle for a few hours, and I have to find someone to help me pick up my stuff. I have always booked by coming INTO your business, and now I know why. the webpage changed what I booked when I changed the time frame. I felt burned as I paid for a 24 hour rental, picked it up at noon, and returned it by 7pm. absolutely no flexibility at all, and sadly I have to find someone to help me finish my task.
I miss my girl who managed here too. she was awesome. your employees are all still great, but I will never use your website ever again.
I don't remember the counter persons name but both he and the agent outside did an excellent job and was very personable.
I rented trucks three times in the week for a difficult move. Each time, the staff at this location (especially Elbert) were polite, professional and helpful .
Put a reservation a Tuesday for that sat went on sat morning and was told that they don't have a reservation for me at all told me the the corporate office kick me out the computer and had to come up with another 100.00 dollars I will not be going back there I promised I won't rend from them again and said the corporate office will reinburst me have not received it yet
went to pick up truck and lady told me there was none. I had contract in my hand. She offered no help.
I reserved the truck for 12 hours on line, but the site where I picked it up told me I couldn't have it 12 hours and had to return it in 7 1/2 hours because he was fully booked in the afternoon. I specifically went to this location because it said it had a 15 ft trailer avail for 12 hours, which I very much needed since I was using it for an all-day festival. I eventually convinced the local sales person to let me have it all day, but it was not a pleasant experience to have to convince him to let me have exactly what I reserved on line.
I rented a storage unit a month and rented a van for a few hours to move. There was a rat trap in the unit which I pointed out when I purchased the room. I came back later and it was still there. The trap plus the poison contents were scattered across the floor. The van was fine. I looked at my banking statement online and there is an unexplained charge of $19.14. $29. for the van, $122 for the unit, and whatever that other charge is. I don't know. Do you? besides this, the service was terrible. the guy that originally started my paperwork just walked out before we had finished. So I'm just standing there and then realize that he's going home for the day and there was one guy left at the counter. He had formed a line and I would have to get in that line, wait probably an hour to get back to the counter. I was irritated and decided to go home. I came back several days later….
Only one person at the location and they were not aware out our breakdown situation nor the plan for a replacement vehicle.
did not understand why my reservation was changed from one location close to where I was to another location cross town.
Scheduling a reservations could be greatly improved.Waiting 3 days for a dolly i reserved online first to be told to go to a store 20 miles away from the store located right by my house and then after waiting longer only to receive the more expensive auto transport that didn't even work with the vehicle being towed was pretty frustrating the run around trying to talk to someone who could help was also very unprofessional, it seemed like everyone was trying to connect me to someone else so they didn't have to do their job, funneling me back to the manager at the st claude location who kept telling me nothing could be done. The only helpful person was the lady i finally talked to after an hour of being transferred to different division was at the number 504 245 1282. i will not be doing business with u haul in the future
I was under the impression that I could only have van rental 4 hours only! It would have made my experience less stressful had I known better! If it can, something always goes wrong!

The truck got terrible mileage around town. Service was good at U-Haul. Friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly.

The low beam headlights were useless as they were aimed at the road and only about 12 feet in front of the truck. The windshield washer was out of fluid or didn't work. The ABS light on the dash came on and stayed on during the last 70 miles of a 1000 mile move.
April, the staffing associate, was very professional especially in addressing my questions and in keeping a busy counter running smoothly for many customers.

I paid for boxes and tape online, but the local office had no record of the purchase. I found this quite frustrating, but the employee who checked me in provided the items with no hassle after viewing my receipt on my phone.

Truck smelled of smoke, so not really clean. Was charged a cleaning fee and the truck was returned spotless. C'mon, UHaul.
My experience was extremely negative. When I got there the moving truck I requested was not ready and they tried to give me a cargo van that was way too small. Instead I opted to take a truck that had just come in and was not swept out yet. I dropped off the truck after hours and in the morning I woke up and was charged with a $25 cleaning fee, plus a charge for the dolly and moving blankets which I simply had to move out of the way. Next time I'll definitely rent from Home Depot.
No one called to say that you will not be able to pick up your rental until after a race is over after 10am. Drove all the way there and the street was blocked right before the location.
Notify ahead of time of street closures near location for pickup or return
I think advertising $19.95 for in town per day is misleading. It ended up costing me $57 total and I didn't have it for a whole 24 hours.
As I made and had a confirmation on my rental at the Harahan location, I was informed that my rental would be delayed 3 + hours. The woman at that location seemed like she knew nothing as what to do for me. I called another location and was then switched to some sort of customer service center, and they located a unit for me 15 miles out of my way. I had no choice as to accept the deal, but I feel as though the Harahan location should have found me a suitable unit and offer me to be able to return it closer to my move than to have to return it back 15 miles away, and then charge me mileage to boot!!
Last Time I deal with U-Haul.....
To many other truck rentals out there to be had...
There were only two representatives that worked at this location but only one knew what they were doing. The other was completely lost anytime someone asked them a question. The line grew longer and longer and I waited 2 hours for a truck I already reserved because there was only one representative at the counter and the other was still with one customer and the other representative "who actually knew what they were doing" had to constantly help him. Needless to say I will not return to this location or probably try Budget the next time I move furniture.
Price quoted was 59.00. Dealer charged me 100 plus. Not good.
The truck was dirty on the interior can and the oil change light was on
Very friendly and helpful. We initially had a bit of trouble with the new card access system, but he staff was very helpful in correcting all the issues we encountered.
Well the truck was damaged. But service was great even if i had to drive further than I wanted to.
Bryan was fast and efficient. He did a great job but it was really hot. He should be able to go inside and cool off every now and then. I would not want him to get heat stroke.

While I was satisfied with the service at the store, I was not satisfied with the location. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance to pick up a trailer near my house. When I went to get it, I was told I would have to drive over 30 minutes away to pick up my trailer. I contacted customer service to complain but haven't gotten a response.

Not enough parking indicated for customers . No waiting area or seating for waiting customers .
Didn`t receive boxes until 3pm. First Ubox was infested with ants. We could not return it because there were no more boxes at the center.

Horrible experience. my bin was rented to someone else. I got another bin, but only one available was larger, so I now have to pay 5 dollars more a month I never got my swipe cards.
The team at Uhaul storage makes me want to just move in there to live some luxury hotels in this city have a whole lot to learn from them.
Wish it was open earlier but other than tht service was excellent from the young lady behind the desk. Fast,extremely polite and patience. I was rushing. She made me want to apologize. Lol. Thanks

The box arrived and had been breached on the bottom, and I`m currently trying to recover unauthorized charges to my credit card for a month of storage that wasnt used or requested.
Never got the U-Box because the store manager was so unfriendly and incompetent. Truly a terrible person to deal with.

Everything is clean with exception of storage room that has sagging moldy ceiling with no lighting. Friendly/helpful staff is hit and miss
Incompetent taff took half an hour to sign me up for a storage unit, which then could not be opened because it was rented to someone else!
An elevator would have been AWESOME, especially since I had sprained my ankle prior to having to haul things down from the second floor.

Manager unresponsive to store clerk when processing issues arose. Waited 2 hours with movers still on the clock. Store clerk on duty was helpful and apologetic. VERY frustrating experience.

Infested with rats and mice. Dead rat in the unit the day I moved in which was cleaned out and moved out early b/c of another dead mouse. My stuff was covered with droppings.

Had to throw away stuff b/c mice peed chewed through it some was moldy. Was told it was climate controlled there was an elevator, but it was hot musty we had to carry things up narrow stairs.
The box was not in good shape hole in the side, but the customer service was outstanding. Myles Winchester was incredibly helpful.

Although the storage unit was initially clean, the unit became infested with rodant feces. I had to place poison throughout the unit but the rodants were still present.

There was vermin urine and waste all over a large portion of our boxes and destroyed expensive mattresses, couches, chairs and other furniture. Weâ€™ll never use or suggest Public Storage again.
You get what you expect in the area it was in. Its was ok but nothing to run home and tell your family and friends about!

First of all, my husband and I are disabled and we feel like we were mistreated because we were given a unit on the second floor. The inside units can be broke into easily.
My husband and I are 100% disabled. We would never have used you if we had known our storage was on the 2nd floor. We are upset
A bit pricey, the room is way bigger than I need, but if the smaller rooms are already taken then what can ya do? I am very happy about the first month`s rent being free!
The facility was very convenient and the staff were always courteous and helpful.
Lighting within the unit was non-existent and a flashlight had to be used. Exhaust fan came on at night only so working inside the units was extremely hot in the daytime.
The employees at St. Claude were WONDERFUL. I`d never hesitate to recommend that store to anyone.
Rat trap in unit,told it helps keep down rats.Walls of unit r raggedy,big roaches dead on hallway floor. Rope on outside door, propped open. No light in unit. Employees r very nice.

The storage unit has no lighting inside. There were visible cobwebs that we walked into upon entering the unit. There is no elevator for storage on the 2nd flr. Not easily accessible.
