Friendly and efficient. They even told me I get some credit back for paying online for my hitch installation because everything was priced separately rather than a bundle price. I will rent trailers from them whenever I need them.
The reservation process was great. Garrett took care to make sure I knew everything during the walk around and check out. Great service.
Make sure to go over a customers contract completely before trying to overcharge a rental. If I hadn't paid close attention I would have been completely ripped off. If the customer tells you there is an error don't puff and sigh about it , try and listen and consider what the customer is saying might actually be correct. I notified one of your team members of the return mileage being different from what was put on my contract and he got really arrogant on me as if I was sadly mistaken and the computer just doesn't make errors and the computer is going to calculate exactly what you bring back. OK so the computer went outside and collected the mileage for me. Well you're right the computer doesn't make errors but man does. Your guy didn't pay attention to what he wrote down and the computer correctly calculated what it was told to calculate. He then had someone check for him and turns out I was correct. In the end he tried his best to make up for any mistakes but I still felt like I was being taken advantage of. I wouldn't rate this facility poor because the gal I talked to, to make the reservations was very pleasant. The guy I brought the truck back to, to inspect, was initially kind, he just didn't pay attention to the mileage before entering it in and lastly the guy who finalized my rental seemed pleasant until he made me feel like I was a burden and didn't know what I was talking about. They need to be more thorough.
I rented a trailer. Great staff and location. However, I would recommend that when renting a trailer, you use the little dolley to pull the trailer out of the space rather than trying to wiggle the truck back into the space between the building and the trailer. It's ridiculously close and you only have inches to work with. Definitely an opportunity to damage my truck and your equipment.
Equipment return process could use improvement. I didn't know where to return the appliance dolly. I got in line behind a returning trailer. I could not see around the trailer so I had no idea if I was in the correct line. The representative basically ignored me until I got their attention. The equipment return line is in the middle of the parking lot so I had to back up and pull forward several times to let other cars in and out.
For improvement I suggest big clear signage and maybe relocating the return lane on the side of the building at least for small items.

The first and second trucks offered had no tread on a couple of the tires. I had to inspect all available 10' trucks myself to find one with suitable tires that would not pose the threat of a flat during my move. Although the associate was very understanding about my not wanting to rent a truck with bad tires, I feel all truck tires should be maintained so that customers are not wasting an extra half hour just to find a truck suitable and safe for driving. After the delays and MY inspection of several trucks, the truck I selected was clean and well maintained.

Checking out truck was a bit of a process even though I can reserved on-line and completed on-line check-in. It was a mid-month Saturday afternoon too. Can't imagine what it would be like on a Saturday morning, or the beginning or end of the month! However, staff was estremely courteous and helpful. Facility was very clean and organized.

The rental cost is reasonable, but the mileage charge on top of refilling the gas tank seems pretty excessive and can easily exceed the rental charge. People were friendly, efficient and courteous.

I had two contracts and the wrong drop-off location was listed. When I tried calling to see what had happened, the representative placed me on hold for 25 minutes, then hung up.
I had to call back. I was eventually helped to much satisfaction, but that experience made me wary about renting.
Don't change the staff, they are very efficient, courteuous and helpful. Great team!

All good. Great experience. A little pricey with respect to the mileage rate, but it is what it is. I don't see a lot of competition in your market space so I suppose you can charge what you want.
When I got there to pick up my truck, I was told my reservation had been canceled. I showed them the e-mail confirmation on my phone which was correct. Luckily, they had a truck left for me to use.
Then, an hour into my move someone called wondering why I had not picked up my truck for the day. I told her I did pick it up at noon like I was supposed to and was loading it now.
She said someone double booked a truck for me.
This location is not organized at all and the employees do not seem to know what they are doing.
20 minutes into my drive as Im delivering my belongings the back tires goes flat. The Roadside assistance telephone number works, but I was on hold for 30 minutes, after noticing there was a website to submit request I then proceeded to request assistance via web. My request was submitted at 10:20pm 07/05/2014 and the company did not arrive until 2:22 am 07/06/2014. This wasted 4 hours of my time and mileage and gas wasted. I am still waiting on the manager Norman White to return my call. I WILL NEVER USE U HAUL AGAIN AS THIS IS MY 3RD ISSUE WITH THIS COMPANY. THE ENTIRE PROCESS IS FLAWED. IF I WERE TRAVELING BY MYSELF THIS WEEKEND AND THIS WOULD HAVE OCCURRED ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AS I AM A YOUNG LADY IN HER EARLY 20'S. I NEED TO BE COMPENSATED FOR MY TIME WASTED AS WELL AS MY MONEY. BECAUSE OF THIS THE REMAINDER OF MY WEEKEND WAS ARRANGED.

There were cigarette ashes left in the ash tray. I am showing an over charge when the receipt was for $76.51 but then the charge is $92.95. I am presuming I was charge for twice for my goods purchase in the amount of $17.12.
The trailer did no have a jack or crank that you could use to get the trailer off the hitch ball. The loaded trailer was much to heavy to pick up the tongue and get it off the ball. We had to call for service to unhook the trailer so I could have a car to drive around in. When we wanted to put the trailer back on the trailer hitch I had to go buy a hydrolic jack to get it done. I am very unhappy about my experience as it took a day to just get a trailer off a hitch. I do not have a day to waste just because there is no means to unhook a trailer from a car. I was told it would be easy to lift off. We also had a problem with the tail tights and had to stop twice to get that fixed. Please contact me as I am a very upset customer.
Tell them the truth about the $19.95 in town rental. The mileage charge of $0.79/mile is a HUGE RIPOFF!!!, especially for in-town. I didnt realize UHaul practices bait and switch techniques. I was not informed that the mileage charge was going to be that expensive. Had I known, I probably would have reconsidered renting. There is a big difference between $20 and $80. You need to inform customers of that "hidden" cost.
Very efficient rental process. There were some uncertainties as to which size truck can handle a king size mattress. I think this could be a standardized answer. I don't want to rent anything larger than I have to so it would be very helpful to know what is the smallest size truck I can rent.

Train all employees to find a way to take care of customer. 1st time walked in I was told no trucks were available anywhere in the dfw area. Went to reserve for following day and saw an opening at 1pm for the same day. 2nd time in mike at the counter was outstanding and he took care of us. Great service by mike

I requested to get the trailer from the 121 and custer location, when the reservation was entered, it was entered at the Plano Parkway and Dallas North Tollway location. The Custer/121 was specifically asked for and agreed upon. When I went to pick up the trailer they informed me the trailer was reservered at the other location. My receipt did show the othe Plano location, but I did not check that detail as my custoer rep and I discussed the location for pickup multiple times on the call.

The mile reading was different from the contract to the a truck. Was 6 miles diferent.
Frisco & The Colony are the fastest growing cities in the US for the past 10 years. Why don't u have a location that has LOTS of options in this area. Po dunk auto repair guys that do uhaul on the side and 30 mins to a main location isn't going to cut it. EITHER stock your franchisees with more equipment or open a uhaul location. NOT to mention the $$$$ you're losing from not having a propane refill location in central Frisvo area
Everything was great! I've had to rent a few trailers over the last couple of weeks and after the first wonderful experience at this location, I never thought twice about going back, despite 3 rental places, including Uhaul, closer to home.

Nothing, Uhaul forgot to include the "hand truck" in the truck, When we realized it was not there, about 4 miles down the road, and turned around, it caused us to go a little over our mileage. They waived the extra miles. Good customer service. That's why I will come back.

I received the worst service from a woman called Amber. She had a horrible attitude, totally disrespectful, elevating her voice to me. She kept saying she was just following procedures, but like saying all the others in their office weren't. When she asked me for an additional phone number, she called that number without telling me and asked the person who answered if they knew me. Just because of that lack of respect, I would fire that woman right away. It's the WORST experience I've had in Texas since I moved in here 6 months ago. I wish she can find another job, probably in a shelter for angry dogs.
Disgusting experience. They overcharged us. The truck was terrible and we returned it in 2 hours and they charged us over $40. What a rip off. I want my money refunded.

I've heard horror stories and read many bad reviews,none directed at Plano. For the North Texas area Plano is the BEST facility!!
Was in and out with no problems. I'll be going back in 3 weeks and renting again.
Nothing. I must commend the employees there. I needed to have a trailer wiring installed that day. They were awesome in getting me in and ready for my trip. Without their help I would never need dead in the water. Thank you all. :-)

Not organized at check-in whether they are working inside or outside. They go back and forth was my experience. Not really comprehend how that system can demonstrate any sense of urgency to the customer. Should be there waiting when turn in.
The turn in process was incredibly efficient.
The navigation on our iPhones gave us a really hard time finding the place... Maybe Check that out and see if u can correct any errors in google maps
accurate gas milage should be check by customers befor driving out the premises. my case i believe the word of the representative only to drive out and found dt gas was below full tang....

First Uhaul experience that was actually good. In the Past I hated Uhaul with a passion for the low quality workers, lack of training and all the red tape to rent a fricking truck for a few hours. Glad you all have changed

When i made my first reservation for May 17 and pick up at 9:00 then I decided 7am and someone emailed me to pick up truck on Greenville Ave. Too!!! Far away? There was no way I was going to drive that far, WHY? I got intouch with Vanessa and she canceled the whole order and started over and I told her set it for Monday the 19th at 7am. I called a couple of days ahead of time to make sure someone did not change my order to cause confusion.
I got the move done.
Make sure the dolly is in the truck, if ordered.

I am impressed by the overall friendliness of every employed who helped me. Usually, only one or two people will stand out at a place I do business. At this store, it was everyone and it was noticeable. Plus, they were helpful.

Train some of their employees to be cordial and professional with everyone that comes in for assistance at Uhaul. Common courtesy really does go a long way. Although the general manager called and apologized, no one should be robbed of their dignity.
Really disappointed when I found the mileage price jumped to $0.99 for the weekend (Friday). I rented a truck earlier in the week and paid $0.79 I won't be so foolish at to not shop your competition next time around.

The u- haul center in Temple Texas tried to charge us a cleanup fee on the return which was totally not needed. I have already told American Express not to pay it. This is a typical example of your management at one of your stores( ie.. Your Temple Texas store ) trying to get a little extra money unethically. Will inform any body else that I know not to use that location. If this is typical of u-haul then we will use other venders on the future
This location gave me great customer service, from the agent checking me in, to the agent and manager helping me complete my experience. The Carrollton tx gas station/UHAUL located at Hebron and Interstate 35 treated me badly, I guess because I'm a female. I had the worst ever experience and I'm surprised UHAUL allows this type of business to represent them. They did not accept responsibility for their employees ignorance when they incorrectly instructed me to load and tow my car across states, causing my transmission to be destroyed. I had to pay over $3,300. At this actual UHAUL business, Customer service is what I remember it to be; kindness, respect and pride in what you do.
The young ladies at the Customer Desk could use some training on 1) providing excellent customer service, 2) improvement of their attitude and 3) attention to detail.

The location was fine. The truck leaked and all of my boxes were soaked on the bottom - not sure of the damage yet - have not unpacked.

New hires should not be left alone to complete transactions. I booked a vehicle for pickup on Saturday all day rental. And I was called at 100 pm to bring back the vehicle as it was promised to someone else after 12 00 pm. When I brought the vehicle back a little after 2 00 pm it was registered as being out two days. The pick up attendant saw it and rectified it on the spot. This could cause some unhappy people both for the renter and the waiting customer. I put it down to poor training and moved on.
Truck side mirrors would not stay in place - very dangerous making them almost useless while driving. After stopping to adjust them for the 3rd time in three miles, I gave up. Steering column ignition needs to be services - sometimes you couldn't get the key out, was difficult to get ignition into the "lock" position.
On a more positive note, this location was kind enough to accommodate me when the other location called me approximately 20 minutes before my scheduled pick up to let me know the vehicle was not available. Why didn't the location transfer the vehicle? Why did they wait so long to make me aware of the problem - they open at 7 am and my scheduled pick up was at 8:30 am?
Fantastic level of service here. Not only was my equipment clean and well maintained, but I inadvertently left a $20 bill in the moving van and they called the next day to return it to me. Seriously above and beyond the level of customer service that I would expect.

I returned the truck busy time, but the checkout process was elongated because your technology was not working, We finally had to resort to a manual/paper process, Then the person at the register could not read the checkin guy's handwriting.
Don't have your truck break down at 3am. Then threaten me with an abandonment fee. Treat me the whole time like I did something wrong. Call me 6 times asking where the truck is after you said you will take care of it. Then not offer to reimburse me after you did not complete your contract. That would be starters... But you really don,t have to worry about me because I will never use Uhaul again. I would rather carry my stuff by hand!!! Or use a donkey... at least with the donkey I would not have to deal with your awesome employees that care so much. Thanks have a great day!!! Go Penski and Budget and Donkeys !!! lol

I almost was not able to do the rental because I wanted to use a debit card. I do not use credit cards. The store said I could use a debit card if I got a larger truck that would be more than double my cost. Luckily someone at the store overrode the store policy. Not impressed with the policy, but glad I was taken care of.
Horrible experience with this location and what I'm being told their call service. Called uhaul to reserve van, asked about a military discount, and was assured they would give it to me at checkout at the store. At pick up time, uhaul employees were rude and unwilling to help me AT ALL. They, including managers, looked and spoke to me rudely with an attitude. "We are lucky employees even get a discount" the "on duty manager" said. It wasn't so much the discount, as it was their word. I choose uhaul over Penske because of price with discount, which turned out to be wrong. Can't be trusted. Especially can't rely on to fix ANY conflict resolution. Just cared about next person in line. Never again. I did Penske last, they honored their word, their truck was WAY better, and much better customer service.

Honesty about the bill and mileage rules.
The truck supplied to us was a safety hazard. The steering sector was grossly loose and made for great difficulty in keeping it in our lane. The brakes appeared to have warped rotors or something loose as it jerked severely when applying the brakes. Although we got the job done with the truck it was not a pleasant experience and quite dangerous!
We were not informed of the rule when accessing our things after store hours. Luckily an employee saw that we were unaware and unlocked so that we could drop off the last of our stuff.
I have always used this location and when I do I always get great customer service. I rented a pickup truck and Courtney was handling my transaction. She was very professional and very nice. I went to turn my truck in this morning and Robert got me checked in it was quick and easy he was also very professional and very nice.I would refer anyone to this location they are the BEST..!!! The cab of the pickup should be clean. Also the rate was much more than i anticipated. I felt like it wasn't worth the cost.
Great exerience - easy process. Last time I moved we used the "other company", big mistake. Customer service was horrible, truck was not ready, tried charging different rate. U-haul was SOO much easier and everyone there seems to know exactly what needed to be done. Very simple, very nice!

I was extremely disappointed that the cargo Dementions quoted were incorrect. I informed the service rep, when returning the van that the depth of the van was 8 feet not 11. Your representative's response in her actions was she read the information on the brochure correctly. Therefore, she didn't do anything wrong. No real apology or discount on my current or any future rentals were offered.The bad information she gave me was just my tough luck...
The bad customer service is one thing. However, your employees should at least be knowable about the products and services they sell. The good news is I found a uhaul service location in Frisco. The service rep at that location knew the correct information on the van I will be renting from uhaul this Friday...

From move-in to move-out the staff was always friendly and helpful. Never an issue. All queries were answered to my satisfaction. Smooth experience through and through.
My only complaint is that I put a cc on file to pay for the truck. However, when my brother arrived to pay for it, they took his cc also. It was a bit confusing when it came time to sign for returning the truck. Both of us thought we paid for the rental. I specifically left instructions how to handle payment. So, a suggestion is to pay attention to instructions.

I'm so upset right now! Not even the owner Mike was willing to help resolve my situation, who was right there and knew there was a problem. He did have time to confirm, yes he was the owner, by pointing to his name tag that says Owner! So he pawns me off to his Manager who's willing to make things right with a $50 price fix and some coupons on my next rental. Seriously! I'm selling ALL of my UHAL Stock tomorrow. Do you think your Stock Holders never need a moving truck occasionally? I'm being treated like crap. I want this whole ticket refunded. I don't know if this is going to reach anyone who is competent or has any concern for this company. I need this taken care of now, before this goes any further. Over all experience was terrific. Wonderful staff. Very friendly and efficient. Probably one of the best UHaul locations in north Texas. Will definitely use again.
My experience with Uhaul on North Dallas Parkway was very good and overall. I would suggest that you make it plain that PROOF of renters insurance is required.
U-Haul fulfilled my needs superbly. I am very pleased with the condition of my items.
I had to pay a whole months rent for March although I moved my items in the 5th. Rip off. Rent should have been prorated.
The hours of operation were just adequate. It would be nicer to have later hours. The key card system they use is very difficult to use after hours.

The narrow aisles/hallways make it very difficult to maneuver large items like couches and mattresses into the storage units. A little more room would make it much easier on your customers!

the inside of the corgo box smelled like insecticide. it was a very strong odor, kind of make you sick if you were around it too much.

I was surprised by how nice the facility was. I like that there is an elevator and the pathways are extremely wide.

I would only recommend someone to rent trucks or equipment but would not recommend the storage services.
When they saw there was a line of customers waiting other staff members would jump on registers to help give fast service instead of making us all wait longer.
I had a good experience for the 2 years I had a unit here.
The air-conditioned storage building was quite clean, excellent lighting, polished floors and a large convenient elevator.
U-haul Storage at Tollway-Plano took good care of me. Thank you!

josh was rude. He drove very dangerously around the lot with uhaul vehicles. He used profane language around us and referred to our belongings as shit in his way. The two people inside were nice.
i turned in a u-haul truck from San Antonio, Tx and I need the license tag number to pay tolls on. Please provide me. The truck has AZ tags. thanks

The main issue I had was with parking. There are way too many UHAULs in your lot, and sometimes you`ll park them up on the loading dock when they aren`t being used.
only complaint: you advertise 24 hour access and when we went to get in access was denied. seems you have to pay extra for that--just should let people know that

I was not told I could not have 24 access to my unit.It wasn`t until I had all of my belongings that I found out.Customer Service couldn`t help me at all either.It was the worst experience ever!

Worst storage experience ever. I moved my things out of there just to put them in another storage facility. The amout I was paying was ludicrous for the terrible service.

Staff was rude/inconvenienced There was yellow powder all over my things they were going to check but no one came as I waited for an hour I had to leave the issue is unresolved keycard never works
The way you have to login, logout after hours is a pain when you have to make several trips.
No major comments to add, the process to rent the storage was very easy, facilities are clean, average prices.
Though I would deactivate the alarm upon entry, an alarm would sound about 50% of the time I accessed my storage unit. The facility is clean.

The alarm system on my unit would go off even when I turned it off on the card swipe before entering. I brought this up numerous times to the staff and the issue was never resolved.

The truck was a bit difficult to drive, espcially with the right side mirror moving but all in all it was an all right experience.

We have been out of the country for the last 7 years and they have been extremely helpful while we managed the unit from long distance.
had to pay $10 to have 24 hours access. only needed access until 8-9pm but glad to have access after office closed.

I came in purchased a 10x10 room. I get up there and its HOT! In climate control? The tempature gage reads 93 degrees. It was hotter in climate control then downstairs where people dont pay extra.

My only compliant is that they made you purchase some cheap Chinese made lock for the storage unit. The lock, unfortunately, was a piece of S_ _ T!

my things were safe and secure while i was in Iraq for the year.
Only problem was the limited access time. Several times it would have been nice to have had access later than 7:30 pm.
